Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the effectiveness of counseling guidance in early childhood at Al-Ikhlasiyah Kindergarten using qualitative research methods. Qualitative methods are used to understand children's experiences in receiving counseling and guidance and its impact on their development in various aspects, such as social, emotional, and academic. In this study, data were obtained through several research techniques, including in-depth interviews with children, parents, and teachers at Al-Ikhlasiyah Kindergarten. In-depth interviews provided an opportunity for research participants to explain in detail their experiences and perceptions of guidance counseling. In addition to in-depth interviews, observation was also used to directly observe children's interactions and behavior in the context of learning and social interaction in kindergarten. This observation helps researchers gain deeper insight into how counseling influences children in their daily lives. In addition, document analysis was also carried out to collect additional information, such as records of child development, reports on counseling activities, and learning materials related to counseling guidance. Analysis of this document provides a more comprehensive understanding of the implementation of counseling guidance in Al-Ikhlasiyah Kindergarten. Research participants consisted of early childhood, parents, and teachers at Al-Ikhlasiyah Kindergarten. By involving various parties involved in the child's education process, this research can provide a holistic perspective on the effectiveness of counseling in early childhood. Through the use of qualitative methods and involving a variety of participants, this research is expected to provide an in-depth understanding of the impact of counseling on early childhood development. The results of this research can be the basis for the development of a more effective guidance and counseling program in Al-Ikhlasiyah Kindergarten and other educational institutions

Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk perkembangan anak. Efektivitas administrasi di tingkat pendidikan pra-sekolah menjadi faktor kunci untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan ini. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan efektivitas administrasi pendidikan anak usia dini di TK Amanah. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus tunggal pada TK Amanah. Subjek penelitian melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru, staf administrasi, dan orang tua siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah di TK Amanah memainkan peran sentral dalam merancang kebijakan administrasi yang mendukung pendidikan anak usia dini. Dengan memprioritaskan keterlibatan orang tua, pengembangan staf, dan kebijakan berbasis visi pendidikan holistik, kepala sekolah menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang optimal. Pelatihan terus-menerus untuk guru menjadi strategi efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan administrasi. Kepala sekolah tidak hanya memberikan pengetahuan baru, tetapi juga memastikan implementasi keterampilan baru dalam konteks sehari-hari. Keterbatasan sumber daya diakui sebagai tantangan, tetapi strategi kreatif seperti kerjasama dengan komunitas lokal dan pemanfaatan sukarelawan membantu mengatasi hambatan tersebut. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman tentang peran kunci kepala sekolah dalam mencapai efektivitas administrasi pendidikan anak usia dini. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan panduan praktis bagi lembaga pendidikan serupa dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan anak usia dini.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of drawing and coloring activities on improving early childhood cognitive abilities. Drawing and coloring activities are considered as fun and creative activities for children, but they also have the potential to improve their cognitive abilities. The research method used was an experiment with a control group. Fifty children aged 4-6 years were randomly selected and divided into two groups, namely the experimental group which did drawing and coloring activities, and the control group which did not. The experimental group was given a series of drawing and coloring tasks designed to engage various cognitive aspects such as color recognition, hand-eye coordination, problem solving, and spatial understanding. Meanwhile, the control group was involved in daily routine activities without any special intervention. Before and after the intervention, both groups were given cognitive ability tests which included tests of memory, problem solving, and understanding of basic concepts. The results showed that the group of children who did drawing and coloring activities experienced a significant increase in cognitive abilities compared to the control group. They showed better improvements in memory tests, problem solving, and understanding basic concepts. In addition, children in the experimental group also showed an increase in their creativity and imagination. These findings indicate that drawing and coloring activities can be an effective method of improving early childhood cognitive abilities. Therefore, it is suggested that these activities be integrated in the early childhood education curriculum to enrich their learning experience and promote optimal cognitive development.
