Abstract

Abstract The advent of information technology has led to the emergence of various digital channels, compelling small and medium enterprise (SME) owners to adapt and transform towards a digital landscape. The Digital Ecosystem has become an essential issue emphasized by both the government and private entities initiating such ecosystems. Being part of the Digital Ecosystem is considered a viable step for SME owners to expand their markets and enhance sales, as the internet has the ability to transcend geographical and temporal boundaries, while also offering collaboration opportunities. However, limited knowledge and trust regarding this Ecosystem still pose challenges for SME actors to join the Digital Ecosystem, which, in this study, specifically focuses on the E-Commerce Ecosystem. This research employs qualitative content analysis, integrating a literature review with a case study, to gain a comprehensive understanding. The findings indicate that SME actors need to comprehend their role within the Digital E-Commerce Ecosystem, possess the capacity to devise digital strategies, and successfully adopt the systems within the Ecosystem to effectively enhance marketing and sales of their products.

Abstract

Strengthening and developing social and economic potential is very important to improve community welfare. This can be achieved through a variety of strategies, including improving social programs, developing culture, and creating opportunities for social and economic growth. For people with low incomes, performing arts can also be used as a way of life. The income of the Reak Tibelat Art Studio, which is located in Kampung Jati, Pasir Biru Village, comes from Reak Art performances by local people who hire their services for child or relative circumcision celebrations. Apart from that, their income also comes from visits from domestic and foreign tourists who hire their performance services for certain events. The fact that has occurred so far is that the promotional media related to Reak Art performances is limited to word of mouth, which is maintained by local residents without any meaningful national publications, so tourist visits are very limited. The future potential of this business remains great due to its deep-rooted tradition and philosophical values, making it a sustainable choice for celebrating events and expressing gratitude to God. To fully realize this potential, it is essential to utilize digital media for economic growth and disseminate information about the rich culture of the Reak Tibelat Art Studio. This involves increasing partners' proficiency in effectively utilizing digital platforms, websites and social media. The main focus is to train Village and Studio managers in creating a variety of digital content—images, videos, and written materials. Additionally, our science and technology training aims to improve participants' soft and hard skills in platform management and digital marketing, thereby providing benefits to all potential partners involved.

Abstract

This study examines the determinants of thrift shopping practices among Generation Z consumers in Bandung, Indonesia, using an extended Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) framework within the context of sustainable fashion consumption. The research specifically examines how perceived behavioral control, subjective attitudes toward behavior, and influence affect thrift shopping practices. A quantitative approach was employed, using a structured questionnaire distributed to Generation Z individuals with prior thrift-shopping experience. A total of 200 valid responses were collected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate the measurement model and test the proposed structural relationships. The results reveal that environmental awareness, social and cultural influences, and psychological factors have significant positive effects on thrift shopping practices. In contrast, economic considerations, barriers, convenience and accessibility, and emotional–hedonic factors do not show significant effects. Notably, perceived behavioral control shows no significant relationship, suggesting that thrift shopping among Generation Z is driven more by social validation and psychological motivation than by utilitarian control considerations. The model explains approximately 63% of the variance in thrift shopping practices.
