Abstract

The research method used is classroom action research. This study consists of four stages, namely: Planning, Implementation, Observation, and Reflection. This study was conducted in two cycles. The subjects in this study were 21 students of grade 6 of UPT SPF SDN Mangasa. The instruments used in this study include: Observation, Tests and Questionnaires. The data techniques of this study are: Observation, Tests, and Questionnaires. Data analysis in this study was carried out qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the study showed that the use of educational games proved effective in improving students' understanding of the concept of fractions. This is indicated by the increase in the average score of students in the post-test after the implementation of the actions in cycle 1 and cycle 2. In cycle 1, the average score of students increased from 28.5 to 62, while in cycle 2, the average score increased to 81. In addition, the results of the questionnaire in cycle 1, 82% of students have high learning motivation, and this percentage increased to 90% in cycle 2. Educational games make the learning atmosphere more interesting and interactive, so that students are more enthusiastic to be involved in the learning process. Elementary school teachers are advised to use educational games as an alternative learning method in teaching complex mathematical concepts, such as fractions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Amin Pa’batangan yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya variasi media pembelajaran yang interaktif dan menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan media interaktif Wordwal dalam pembelajaran mengetahui hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah penerapan media tersebut, serta menganalisis pengaruh penggunaannya terhadap hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pra-eksperimen dengan desain One Group Pre-Test Post-Test. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 15 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan uji independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan Wordwall berjalan dengan baik dan meningkat pada setiap pertemuan. Nilai rata-rata pre-test adalah 68,67 dan meningkat menjadi 87,93 pada post-test. Seluruh siswa memperoleh kategori tuntas setelah perlakuan. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dengan demikian, media interaktif Wordwall berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Amin Pa’batangan.

Abstract

The main problem in this study is the low ability of students in writing stories, which occurs because the implementation in the learning process still tends to use a conventional approach. Teachers mostly apply the lecture method, making learning seem more monotonous. As a result, students' writing skills are not well honed. Teachers often only give writing assignments with little explanation about the rules of good and correct writing, so that students' creativity and imagination are limited. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of animated films on the story writing skills of fifth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darul Istiqamah Puce'e, Sinjai Regency. The type of research used in this study is a pre-experimental design, which is a type of research that only involves one experimental class without a comparison group. The research design is a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The pretest is given before the treatment, and the posttest is given after the treatment. The sample in this study consists of fifth-grade students, comprising 1 male student and 10 female students. Data collection techniques were conducted using tests and observations. The data analysis technique in this study is descriptive and inferential statistical data analysis (t-test). Descriptive statistics show that the average score for story writing skills before the use of animated films was 60.81. Meanwhile, the average score for story writing skills after the use of animated films was 92.90. This shows that there was a difference in students' story writing skills before and after the use of animated films in learning. The t-test analysis results show that the t-count = 12.01 and t-table = 2.228, so t-count = 12.01 > t-table 2.228, which means H1 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that animated film media is effective in improving the story writing skills of fifth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darul Istiqamah Puce'e, Sinjai Regency.
