Abstract

Originating from the word "Katekese," this term is derived from the Greek language, namely "Katecho." When translated into Indonesian, it consists of "Kat," meaning downward/square/wide, and "Echo," which signifies proclaiming/teaching. Consequently, "katekese" in Indonesian means religious teaching or education, particularly for baptismal candidates, explaining catechism lessons to children, and the general public. In this context, katekese will be discussed in more detail, specifically focusing on "Family Catechesis," which forms the foundation of human faith.

Abstract

The Theology of the Body is a collection of Pope John Paul II's faith teachings or catechesis for pilgrims in St. Paul's Square. Peter every Wednesday between 5 September 1979 and 28 November 1984 during his pontificate. Theology of the Body gives birth to a reflection of faith about the meaning of human sexuality. The presentation of teachings in Theology of the Body aims to invite believers to respond to various deviant behaviors and ideas regarding the general human understanding of the body from the perspective of faith. The nature of the body is often assumed incorrectly. The body is seen as an object of sexual satisfaction and contains elements of a commodity in the economy. Another deviant perception of the body is only part of sexual gratification in today's era, marked by the widespread distribution of pornography via social media. Teenagers are the main target of today's concerns about the rapid spread of pornography via social media because today's teenagers are teenagers who are directly connected to internet-based social media in their daily lives. The internet is used as a medium for learning, work and even as a means of entertainment that offers instant features that make it easier for users to surf the virtual world. The purpose of writing this article is to describe Pope John Paul II's view of the body as a sacred gift that must be respected, the body as a means of God's direct relationship with His creation. Also describes four body characteristics that are very relevant to the current situation and describes teenagers' understanding of the body due to the rise in cases of spreading pornography via social media. This research uses a library study method by collecting data through journals, articles, books and other insights via the internet. Researchers read, redescribe and process the data so that it is relevant. The results of the research show that teenagers' dependence on social media is the main gateway to expanding the entry and distribution of pornography and becoming perpetrators of pornography. Teenagers need guidance from parents in their understanding of sexuality in using social media. The body perspective according to "Body Theology" can be a strong basis for minimizing the spread and behavior of pornography among teenagers

Abstract

In the ever-evolving digital age, the transformation of digital media affects church ministry management and contextual catechesis. This article explores the ministry management of contemporary churches in facing challenges and opportunities due to advances in digital technology, especially in the context of catechesis. The church faces major changes in the delivery of the gospel message and Christian values to the people, seeing the transformation of digital media as both a challenge and an opportunity to increase the relevance and complexity of the church's outlook in the digital age. The main challenge is to integrate the concept of contextual catechesis with technological developments. Although digital transformation opens up opportunities for online catechesis, churches must ensure that evangelical messages remain relevant and understood by the people. The ministry management strategy of contemporary churches involves improving the accessibility and quality of services through digital technology. Engaging and interactive catechetical content is developed for more effective ministry. This study emphasizes the importance of involving people in decision-making and service delivery as the key to optimizing the potential of digital media transformation. By responding to the changing times, contemporary churches can utilize digital technology to expand the reach of the evangelical message and enhance ministry effectiveness, providing opportunities to respond to the needs of the people in a changing era.

Abstract

Etymologically, the Greek Church “Ekklesia” means “ called out”. The Churh is often also defined as “a community of believers” (Andreas, 2010, p. 21). The Church is living community of everyone. The Church is a community formed by Christ, intended to illuminate the word to become His salt. The Church is also a collection of believers who believe in Christ as the head of the Church. The pastor in a Church is the hope or foundation for all members of the congregation, with a great influence on the dynamics and success of the congregation. The Church must have a friendly attitude and embrace all individuals. Judging from its journey, the Church is similar to the attitude of Jesus who welcomed everyone regardless of their status or background. It is necessary to build a community that makes a pilgrimage together to achieve the common goal of building a communion Church, the Church is the people of God, the Church needs to embrace all in brotherhood. Thus the Church is a communion (Communio). Communion in scripture is something very special and broad in the view of Christians. Fellowship is the basis of life from God, the faith of every Christian teaches the infinite unity of God. This view is on a biblical basis, in the Old and New Testaments. The from of the Church of God’s people is the fruit of reflection on salvation history. This reflecation is the fellowship of the Old Testament people.

The Church sees the importance of the physical and spiritual development of young Catholics so that they are ready to take part in the service of the Church. The active participation of the faithful, especially the youth, is essential in realizing the expectations of all Church members in seeing the Church flourish. Young Catholics are encouraged to participate in various church activities, which aim to awaken their enthusiasm in knowing and deepening the Christian faith. The Church is expected to give attention and care in the apostolic task so that young people can live their faith. Liturgy as a work or service for the nation and a celebration of the mystery of salvation from God through Jesus Christ, plays an important role in shaping the faith and positive values of young people. This study aims to find out the participation of Catholic Youth in liturgical duties at St. Joseph's Church Stasi Lubuk Mantuk and identify the factors that cause their lack of participation.
