Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang teks iklan komersil dalam spanduk dan pamflet yang ada di Kendari. Penelitian ini dilandasi oleh keunikan dalam bahasa iklan sehingga menarik untuk diteliti. Dari segi bahasa, iklan dapat mengubah pandangan masyarakat terhadap suatu produk. Pada awalnya produk tersebut tidak menarik bagi seseorang, tetapi setelah melihat iklan tersebut dapat mengubah pandangan terhadap produk yang diiklankan. Berdasarkan hal ini, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa dalam teks iklan komersil. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Dalam pengumpulan data, peneliti menggunakan metode dokumentasi dengan cara mencatat dan memotret teks iklan pada spanduk dan pamflet yang terpajang di depan toko atau tempat usaha barang dan jasa di Kendari. Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan jenis-jenis gaya bahasa. Pertama, gaya bahasa berdasarkan pilihan kata terbagi menjadi gaya bahasa tak resmi dan gaya bahasa percakapan. Kedua, gaya bahasa berdasarkan nada terdiri dari gaya bahasa sederhana dan gaya bahasa mulia dan bertenaga. Selanjutnya adalah gaya bahasa berdasarkan struktur kalimat yang terdiri dari pararelisme, antithesis, dan repetisi. Yang terakhir adalah gaya bahasa berdasarkan langsung tidaknya makna, yaitu asindenton, hiperbola, paradoks, depersonifikasi, aliterasi dan asonansi, dan paronomasia Kata kunci: gaya bahasa, iklan, komersil

Abstract

This research was set out to examine students’ writing abilities in teaching creative writing subject and investigate the students’ perception in utilizing online blog as a teaching media and how do the online blog influence them in their creative writing subject? Thirty-one fourth semester students of the English Literature study program in the Humanities Faculty, Halu Oleo University who took creative writing subject in the academic year 2020/2021 participated in the research. Data were obtained from students’ results of pre- and post-test on the five components of writing composition, namely content, organization, vocabulary, language use (grammar), and mechanics. The researcher used mix methods to analyze the data both quantitatively and qualitatively. The researcher runs a paired sample t-test with 2 tailed t-tests using the SPSS 16 to test the proposed hypothesis. To reveal students’ perception, descriptive data were transformed into words. Analysis of the data obtained resulted in the followings: pre-test score (M=76.38; SD = 8.77), post-test score (M=86.29; SD=7.78), Df= 30, t-tabel = 1,697 and t-test = 10.686. These results indicated a significant difference on students’ abilities in creative writing subject before and after treatment. Furthermore, students’ perception on the use of online blog is positively related with the students’ achievement. It can therefore be concluded that utilizing online blog as a medium for teaching creative writing is very effective not only in enhancing student’s writing ability in creative writing subject, but also in creating a positive learning environment.

Abstract

Teppo`e Village is one of the famous sponge-producing areas in Bombana Regency. But the condition of the supply of sponge fish from members of the sponge cultivation group is often disrupted because the farmers face serious problems in the management of the maintenance of sponge fish. The purpose of this study was to determine the problems faced by sponge fish farmers in Teppo`e Village, Poleang Timur District, Bombana Regency, as well as to determine the strategies of pond farmers in overcoming problems in pond management. This study uses the theory of Adaptation Strategy According to John W. Bennett. Data collection Teppo'e Village, Poleang Timur District, Bombana Regency, especially sponge fish farmers experienced problems in pond management, including: (1) Damage to Pematang Empang, (2) Lack of Capital, (3) Lack of fertilizer. To overcome this problem, pond farmers have several strategies, including (1) Pematang Improvement, (2) Borrowing Business Capital, (3) and Switching Vename Shrimp Farms. This is done so that the pond farmers can continue their aquaculture business
