Abstract

The spoken language variety of Lambitu community, Sambori village, represents the bilinguality and multilinguality of the community. This research aims to analyze the defense realization of Inge Ndai language within the family context of Lambitu community. This qualitative research collected the data with listening method. Then, the researcher continued it with non-participant observer. The researcher recorded and noted the conversation. The data analysis used match method. The results showed that the language defense in family of Lambitu community, Sambori village were: (1) single Inge Ndai language, (2) code switching, and (3) code mixing

Abstract

Bima, West Nusa Tenggara, features a diverse range of languages. The range of languages spoken by the Bima people in Sambori Village, Lambitu District, demonstrates the presence of bilingual and multilingual speakers. This research aims to investigate the elements that contribute to the survival of the Inge Ndai language in the family realm in Sambori Village. The listening approach was employed in this study. The listening approach employs (1) fundamental tactics in the form of tapping techniques and (2) advanced techniques, namely: listening to free involvement and conversation (SBLC), recording, and taking notes. The equivalent procedure is used during the data analysis stage. The matching procedure is carried out in two stages, namely: (1) a fundamental technique in the form of a determining element sorting technique (PUP), and (2) a more advanced technique in the form of an equalizing comparison technique (HBS). In this study, the outcomes of data analysis are presented in a written report. According to the study's findings, the following elements contribute to the survival of the Inge Ndai language in the family realm in Sambori Village: loyalty factors, language pride factors, awareness factors for language norms, age factors, and work factors.

Abstract

Bahasa Inge Ndai adalah bahasa minoritas di Bima Nusa Tenggara Barat. Bahasa Inge Ndai hanya dituturkan oleh masyarakat Lambitu—Tarlawi yang berada di Kabupaten Bima. Bahasa ini masih dituturkan dan dipertahankan masyarakat setempat baik dari kalangan anak-anak, remaja, dewasa, maupun kalangan orang tua. Wujud bahasa Inge Ndai dalam ranah keluarga dituturkan sebagai bentuk adanya pemertahanan bahasa pada masyarakat di Kecamatan Lambitu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan wujud bahasa Inge Ndai dalam ranah keluarga pada masyarakat Lambitu. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa penggalan tuturan bahasa Inge Ndai dalam ranah keluarga yang mencerminkan wujud pemertahanan bahasa. Sumber data berupa tuturan masyarakat penutur bahasa Inge Ndai dalam ranah keluarga pada masyarakat Lambitu di Kabupaten Bima. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode simak. Metode simak dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik dasar berupa teknik sadap dan teknik lanjutan. Teknik lanjutan dalam metode simak, yaitu simak bebas libat cakap (SBLC), rekam, dan catat. Tahap analisis data menggunakan metode padan. Metode padan dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua tahapan, yaitu: teknik dasar berupa teknik pilah unsur penentu (PUP) dan teknik lanjutan berupa teknik hubung banding menyamakan (HBS). Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan wujud bahasa Inge Ndai dalam penggunaan bahasa yang berupa tunggal bahasa yang dituturkan dengan memilih satu variasi bahasa yang sama (intra language variation) yaitu penutur bahasa Inge Ndai yang dwibahasa menggunakan bahasa Inge Ndai ketika berkomunikasi dalam ranah keluarga pada masyarakat Lambitu.

Abstract

This study aims to explore students’ perceptions of digital literacy and writing skills using an interactive multimedia platform based on Kapatu Mbojo local literature, integrated with Google Gemini. Grounded in multimedia learning theory, which emphasizes integrating text, visuals, and audio to enhance instructional effectiveness, this research involved 143 high school students and 6 Indonesian language teachers from two schools in Bima Regency, Indonesia. The findings reveal that most students responded positively across five key aspects: digital literacy, ease of using Google Gemini, improvement in writing skills, interest in local culture, and an overall enjoyable learning experience. The use of this media significantly improved students’ writing scores, as evidenced by notable gains from pre-test to post-test. Additionally, students reported increased motivation and autonomy in writing, which was supported by real-time feedback from Google Gemini. The study suggests that integrating artificial intelligence and local culture into instructional media can simultaneously enhance digital literacy and writing competence. It is recommended that similar interactive multimedia tools be developed and implemented across various educational contexts, alongside teacher training programs to maximize the pedagogical benefits of AI-driven, contextually relevant learning.
