Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by Mycrobacterium Tuberculosis that enters the body through inhaling the droplets, such as saliva or phlegm as the media, containing pulmonary tuberculosis of the infected person. Based on the data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2020, East Jakarta is the location with the most TB patients in the entire Jakarta with a total of 12,334 patients. As the most populous administrative city in the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, East Jakarta is resided by 28.76% or around 3.04 million people out of 10.56 million people residing in the entire province. The total population in 2019 in Duren Sawit District alone reached 399,595 people with a population density per square kilometer is of 17.64, that makes the area one of the districts with a high population density in the administrative area of East Jakarta. This is what motivated us to conduct TB education counseling to the Woman of Family Welfare Empowerment Program in Duren Sawit Village. Statistical tests show an increase of knowledge of the respondent after TB education was carried out. This increase in knowledge falls into the medium category. The highest increase occurred in the question number 10 related to the role of the family in preventing TB transmission.

Abstract

Dagusibu is a drug handling step as an abbreviation of Get, Use, Save, and Dispose of. So as consumers, we must know how to get, use, store, and dispose of the medicines we have. Not all people know and understand how to handle this drug, so information about this is important to be disseminated to the public. A study in the RW 06 area of ​​Cakung Timur Sub-district showed that as many as 53.2% of respondents had less knowledge about Dagusibu antibiotic drugs (Miranti, 2019). The outreach activity aims to increase public knowledge about how to get and store good medicines in the residents of the Jade Cluster, East Bekasi, Bekasi City. Based on the results of community service activities in the residents of the Jade Cluster, East Bekasi, Bekasi City, it can be concluded that the counseling carried out was able to increase knowledge about how to obtain and store good medicines.

Abstract

The law on health has mandated nutrition improvement efforts to escalate nutritional quality of individuals and communities, including through improving food consumption patterns; improvements of nutrition conscious behavior, improving access and quality of nutrition services in accordance with scientific and technological progress. Community service is carried out at Putra Utama I Orphanage. Problems that occur 70% of children at the Orphanage have a lack of knowledge about healthy snacks. It also does not have its own canteen for children to buy snacks and there has never been counseling about healthy snacks. The purpose of community service activities is to increase the knowledge of Putra Utama I Orphanage Children’s. The method was counseling about healthy snacks and giving pretest and posttest questionnaires to know their knowledge about healthy snacks. The results obtained are an increase in the average knowledge score of the Orphanage children’s in pretest and posttest was 14.9043. It can be concluded that counseling at Orphanage children can increase knowledge about healthy snacks.
