Abstract

Purpose: This study examines metathesis in the Quran for morphological changes in its lexicon. Metathesis—reordering phonemes inside words—illuminates the evolution of Arabic and the Quran's exegesis. This study identifies and analyzes Quranic metathesis events to determine their effects on understanding and translation accuracy. Design/ methods/approach: Employing a rigorous qualitative methodology, this study adopts a descriptive analytical approach. It scrutinizes a selection of Quranic words that have undergone metathesis, juxtaposing their original and altered phonemic structures. The inquiry is anchored in primary sources, predominantly the Quranic text, and is further bolstered by an array of exegetical and linguistic scholarly works. Findings: The findings from this investigation reveal that metathesis in the Quran transcends mere linguistic curiosity, bearing significant ramifications for theological discourse and hermeneutic practices. It is observed that these phonemic transformations can subtly, yet substantially, influence the semantic and interpretative dimensions of Quranic verses, notwithstanding the preservation of their intrinsic syntactic integrity in a wider linguistic context. Research implications:  Contributing to the domain of Quranic linguistics, this research underscores the indispensability of linguistic considerations in theological scholarship and Quranic interpretation. It unveils novel perspectives on the intricate interplay between language and meaning within the Quran, highlighting the critical role of nuanced linguistic analysis in the exegesis of sacred texts. Ultimately, the study furnishes profound insights into the symbiotic relationship among language, semantics, and context inherent in the Quran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan 2 tujuan yaitu: untuk mengetahui latar belakang historis berdirinya Pondok Pesantren Ta’mirul Islam Surakarta, dan mengetahui filosofis berdiri dan berkembangnya Pendidikan Pondok Pesantren Ta’mirul Islam Surakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif, dan yang dijadikan subjek penelitian adalah Badan Wakaf, Bapak Pimpinan Pondok, Direktur KMI Putri, Ustadz/ustadzah, dan Remaja Masjid Tegalsari Surakarta. Metode yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data adalah metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul kemudian disusun dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif, melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyusunan data dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil diperoleh bahwa nilai historis Pendidikan Pondok Pesantren Ta’mirul Islam adalah Pendidikan yang diterapkan di Pondok Pesantren Ta’mirul Islam yaitu dengan sistem Kulliyyatul Mu’allimin Al-Islamiyyah (KMI) yang berarti Sekolah Pendidikan Guru Islam dengan mengadopsi kurikulum Pondok Pesantren Modern Gontor dan kurikulum Nasional. Sedangkan nilai filosofis Pendidikan Pondok Pesantren Ta’mirul Islam tertuang dalam Nilai Panca Jiwa Pondok, Motto Kelembagaan, Falsafah motto kependidikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis penggunaan model pembelajaran quantum learning di Pondok Tahfidzul Qur’an Tarbiyyatul Ummah Sukoharjo, (2) mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis penggunaan model pembelajaran quantum learning di Kuttab Al Faruq Sukoharjo, (3) mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis perbedaan penggunaan model pembelajaran quantum learning di Pondok Tahfidzul Qur’an Tarbiyyatul Ummah dan Kuttab Al Faruq Sukoharjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ini diantaranya: (1) Pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Pondok Tahfidzul Qur’an Tarbiyyatul Ummah Sukoharjo menggunakan model quantum learning. Pembelajaran di lembaga tersebut melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu tahap perencanaan; (a) merumuskan tujuan pembelajaran, (b) menentukan materi bahan ajar, (c) menentukan metode pembelajaran yang akan digunakan.  Tahap pelaksanaan; (a) kegiatan pembuka, (b) inti, (c) penutup. Dan tahap penilaian; (a) penilaian harian, (b) penilaian tengah semester, (c) penilaian akhir semester. (2) Pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Kuttab Al Faruq Sukoharjo menggunakan buku quantum learning. Pembelajaran di lembaga tersebut melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu; tahap perencanaan; (a) merumuskan tujuan pembelajaran, (b) menentukan materi bahan ajar, (c) menentukan buku ajar yang akan digunakan dalam menunjang pembelajaran. Tahap pelaksanaan; (a) kegiatan pembuka, (b) inti, (c) Penutup. Dan tahap penilaian; (a) penilaian harian, (b) penilaian akhir semester. (3) penggunaan model quantum learning pada kedua lembaga tersebut memiliki beberapa perbedaan, diantaranya: proses perencanaan pembelajaran dalam menentukan metode pembelajaran dan buku ajar. juga pada proses penilaian pembelajaran. Akan tetapi, penyajian dan penyampaian materi bahasa Arab pada kedua lembaga tersebut merupakan contoh dari penggunaan model pembelajaran quantum learning.

Abstract

This research analyzes the deconstruction of radicalism stigma through the perspective of Islamic philosophy in the context of the relationship between religion and state, with a case study of the August 17, 2022 ceremony at Pondok Ngruki. The event, attended by Minister Muhadjir, became a symbolic moment in changing the dominant narrative about radicalism often associated with this pesantren. The research uses a qualitative approach with philosophical analysis, examining the concept of harmony between Islamic values and nationalism, as well as the application of Derrida's deconstruction theory in recontextualizing pesantren practices. The research results show that this ceremony reflects the integration of Islamic values with nationalism, proving the role of Islamic education in building national character while simultaneously reducing the stigma of radicalism. By prioritizing harmony between religion and the state, Pondok Ngruki demonstrates the relevance of Islamic teachings in supporting the principles of nationalism. This study recommends further research in other pesantren to understand similar patterns and strengthen collaboration between pesantren and the government in promoting national values.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to develop an instrument for assessing critical thinking skills that meets the criteria for validity, reliability, and good item quality.Method – Preliminary research identified challenges faced by mathematics teachers in designing valid and reliable assessment instruments for students' critical thinking skills. To address this, the study employed a literature review, expert validation, and both limited and expanded trials. Content validity was assessed using Aiken’s validity index, while construct validity and reliability were analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Findings – The first-stage trial focused on assessing content validity through Aiken’s validity index. The results indicated that both the construction material and linguistic/readability aspects achieved validity values above 0.5, confirming the instrument’s suitability for high school mathematics learning. The subsequent expanded trial evaluated construct validity and reliability using CFA. The analysis demonstrated that all indicator factor loadings exceeded 0.5, confirming their validity, while construct reliability values exceeded 0.7, indicating reliability. Additionally, the model fit indices showed RMSEA < 0.08, p-value > 0.05, Chi-Square/df < 2, AGFI > 0.9, and GFI > 0.9, confirming that the developed model aligned well with the empirical data. Research Implications – The developed instrument effectively measures critical thinking skills in mathematics learning, meeting the criteria for a robust assessment tool with strong validity, reliability, and model fit. It is recommended for broader implementation in educational settings.
