Abstract

Perilaku Hygiene Menstruasi baik baru dilakukan 55,4% responden.

Abstract

Substance abuse involving Narcotics, Psychotropics, and Addictive Substances (NAPZA) among adolescents represents a significant and complex public health issue. According to data from the Indonesian National Narcotics Board (BNN) in 2023, the prevalence of NAPZA abuse reached 1.73% among individuals aged 15–64 years, with adolescents identified as a particularly vulnerable group. Adolescents’ susceptibility to substance abuse is influenced by various psychosocial factors, including family dysfunction, peer pressure, and emotional instability. This study aims to systematically review the determinants of NAPZA abuse among adolescents using the Health Belief Model (HBM) framework based on literature published between 2013 and 2025. A comprehensive literature review was conducted on 13 selected studies that met the inclusion criteria. The findings indicate that cues to action emerged as the most dominant HBM component influencing adolescent substance abuse behavior, followed by perceived susceptibility, perceived benefits, and perceived barriers related to ease of access to substances and unsupportive social environments. These results highlight the importance of integrating promotive and preventive interventions through family, school, and community-based education. Strengthening adolescents’ health beliefs through HBM-based interventions is expected to enhance risk awareness and foster sustainable preventive behaviors against substance abuse.

Abstract

Traffic accidents are the leading cause of death among teenagers aged 15 years and above, with Indonesian National Police traffic data recording that motorcycles are involved in 72.42% of all cases. Risky behavior such as not wearing SNI-standard helmets is a major cause of fatal head injuries in this age group. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence safe riding compliance among adolescents through a literature review based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). The research method used a literature review by searching for articles in the Google Scholar database published between 2020 and 2025 with the inclusion criteria of open access journals in Indonesian. Based on the analysis of the selected articles, it was found that all TPB components were correlated with safe riding behavior. Attitude was the most frequently studied variable (90%), but it was not always significant because it was influenced by environmental factors. Subjective norms derived from positive pressure from family and peers were proven to increase adolescents' motivation to comply. Meanwhile, perceived behavioral control emerged as the strongest and most consistent determinant (100% significant) because it is directly related to the skills and confidence of riders. Therefore, safety riding programs must be integrated with technical skills training and the creation of a safety culture in the social environment to strengthen intentions.

Abstract

Traffic discipline is the compliance of individuals or groups with applicable rules, orders, and prohibitions independenly without waiting for orders. Teenagers are still in an immature stage of development, easily influenced by emotions, want to look attractive, and often ignore traffic regulations. Unsafe driving is a major factor causing accidents among teenagers. This study aims to conduct a literature analysis on the relationship betweet element of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and safe driving behavior among teenagers. The research method used a literature review of scientific articles from 2017-2025 that focused on teenagers in Indonesia. Thhe research conducted a search and selection of literature using databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed. ProQuest, and Oneseacrh.id that have been published. The results of the study confirm that perceptions, subjective norms, and behavioral control have a significant impact than knowledge factors, but behavioral control is considered the most dominant factor. However, without strong self-efficacy, positive attitudes do not always translate into action. The conclusion of this study is that to foster safe driving behavior, youth safety interventions must focus on providing social support and increasing self-control.

Abstract

Introduction: Driving safety is very important to protect yourself and others from traffic accidents. Data shows that in, approximately 1.19 million people died in accidents. Due to high mobility needs, teenagers often violate regulations because they do not know how to drive. This study reviews the literature on the relationship between driver's license knowledge levels and safe driving behavior among teenagers. This research is a literature review of studies published in the last. Data sources were taken from the Google Scholar, PubMed, ProQuest, and Onesearch.id databases using the keywords compliance factors, traffic behavior, teenagers, and road safety. The inclusion criteria were open access journals in Indonesian and English. Results: Most studies showed a significant relationship between knowledge level and safe driving behavior or satisfaction, according to ten pieces of literature. Although most adolescents have good knowledge (up to 91% in one study), some adolescents are non-compliant. In addition to knowledge, other factors that influence driving behavior are attitudes and perceptions, the role of peers, and possession of a C driver's license.

Abstract

Abstract

Adolescence is the transition from childhood to adulthood, a period between childhood and adulthood, characterized by social, mental, and physical changes. Physical growth in teenagers is shown by sharp increases in height and weight. You should consume plenty of fruits and vegetables to maintain your body's nutritional balance. Many vitamins, minerals, and fibers needed by the body are found in this type of diet every day. Teenagers often skip meals, snack, and consume a lot of fast food, along with other poor eating behaviors. These issues can affect teenagers' health in the future, According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 400–600 grams of fruits and vegetables per day are recommended for adolescents. Schools are expected to teach adolescents about a balanced diet. Understanding nutrition affects attitudes and behavior when making food choices, which in turn influences eating patterns and nutritional status. Problems in adolescent growth and development as well as eating behavior issues will arise due to ignorance about the nutritional contributions of various types of foods. A literature review on the topic or variable being studied is used in this study. The information used comes from the researcher's own literature review and research articles that discuss the topic. Variables that influence the Determinants of Fruit and Vegetable Eating Behavior in Adolescents According to Social Cognitive Theory 2021 – 2025.

Abstract

Premarital sexual behavior among adolescents in Indonesia shows a worrying trend. Negative impacts such as sexually transmitted infections (STIs), unwanted pregnancies, and even dropping out of school pose a serious threat to adolescents' futures. The Health Belief Model (HBM) theory is used to understand how individual beliefs influence preventive measures against these risky behaviors. This study aims to identify determinants of premarital sexual behavior among adolescents based on the six main components of the HBM through a literature review. This study used a literature review method of academic sources from Google Scholar and PubMed databases for the period 2021-2025. The analysis was conducted descriptively by grouping findings based on the variables of perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, cues to action, and self-efficacy. A literature review shows that perceived severity, perceived benefits, and self-efficacy consistently have significant relationships with efforts to prevent promiscuity. Meanwhile, perceived susceptibility and perceived barriers show varying results and are not always significant in every context. Health education interventions based on the Human Behavior Model (HBM) have been shown to be effective in increasing adolescent knowledge and self-efficacy. The HBM approach is a valid instrument for mapping the determinants of adolescent sexual behavior. Strengthening self-efficacy and personal internalization of risk are key to the success of health promotion programs.

Abstract

Drug abuse is a serious global public health problem, with the prevalence in Indonesia reaching 1.73% or about 3.33 million people in 2023, mainly among those aged 15–24 years. Understanding the psychological determinants of this behavior is crucial to enhance prevention and rehabilitation efforts. Objective: To analyze determinants of drug abuse behavior based on the Health Belief Model (HBM) through a literature review of studies published between 2015 and 2025. Methods: A literature review of 8 academic articles from Google Scholar and PubMed, limited to open‑access Indonesian- and English‑language journals examining HBM constructs related to drug abuse and rehabilitation participation. Results: HBM variables were generally associated with drug abuse behavior and rehabilitation adherence, with self‑efficacy emerging as the most consistent determinant, followed by perceived susceptibility and perceived severity. Perceived barriers, especially complex administrative procedures, distance, costs, and stigma, were identified as major obstacles to engaging in rehabilitation. Conclusion: The HBM is useful for mapping determinants of drug abuse behavior and highlights the need to strengthen self‑efficacy, risk perceptions, and barrier reduction within health promotion and community‑based rehabilitation programs.
