Abstract

This MSMEs product curation assistance is motivated by the many potential MSMEs in Probolinggo Regency that have not been optimally developed. The purpose of this curation is to encourage MSMEs in Probolinggo Regency to compete in modern and even export markets. In addition, curating products for MSMEs can ensure that these products meet the quality and feasibility standards required by consumers. This curation assistance is a collaboration between Business Center at the University of Nurul Jadid, Rumah Kurasi, and the Probolinggo District Office of Cooperatives, Micro Enterprises, Trade and Industry. There were 20 business participants who participated in the product curation assistance. The curation process begins with product photos for digitalization needs, interviews, then giving a curation report. The curation results show that 14 MSMEs have modern market qualifications and 6 MSMEs have traditional market qualifications. The output of this curation assistance is a “Business to Business (B2B) - Business Matching” event or bringing together Probolinggo District MSMEs with buyers from shops, retail, restaurants and souvenir centers throughout Malang held at the Malang Creative Center. They will select suitable products to be sold in their stores based on the buyers' wishes and product quality standards.

Abstract

The rapid growth of social media has transformed digital marketing practices, making TikTok one of the most influential platforms in shaping consumer purchase intention. This study examines the effects of promotion, content attractiveness, and consumer trust on purchase intention through TikTok marketing from the perspective of Islamic economics. A quantitative approach was employed using data collected from 150 consumers of Greenhouse Tanjoeng Farm and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings reveal that content attractiveness and consumer trust positively influence purchase intention, whereas promotion does not have a significant effect. These results indicate that consumers in digital environments place greater emphasis on engaging content, credibility, and trustworthy relationships than on conventional promotional activities. From the perspective of Islamic economics, the findings reinforce the importance of tabligh, fathanah, amanah, and shiddiq as ethical foundations for digital marketing practices. This study contributes to the literature by demonstrating that the effectiveness of TikTok marketing depends primarily on content quality and consumer trust rather than promotional intensity. Practically, the findings provide insights for businesses to develop ethical, trust-based, and content-oriented marketing strategies to enhance consumer purchase intention in digital marketplaces

Abstract

The Free Nutritious Meal Program (Makan Bergizi Gratis/MBG) is a national strategic policy in the food and nutrition sector aimed at improving the quality of human resources from school age. Based on studies from Bappenas, the presidential special envoy for Food Security, and several credible news sources, food waste in Indonesia remained substantial in 2025. Indonesia ranks 4th in food waste globally, resulting in national economic losses of up to IDR 500 trillion per year. Part of this food waste is contributed by the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG). Therefore, minimizing food waste in the MBG Program is important. One way to minimize MBG food waste is by understanding the preferences and consumption behavior patterns of students receiving MBG. To date, evaluation of the MBG program has been dominated by nutritional and food distribution approaches, while studies based on students' consumption behavior remain relatively limited. This condition indicates the urgency of research to produce scientific evidence supporting the strengthening of MBG policy based on food consumption behavior. This study aims to examine the effect of food preference on the consumption behavior of MBG recipient students, with food neophobia as a mediating variable. This study also aims to elaborate on other factors shaping the consumption behavior of MBG recipient students, as well as to develop a model of consumption behavior for MBG recipient students. The study employs a mixed-method approach. The quantitative approach was conducted through a questionnaire survey, with data analyzed using SEM-PLS. Meanwhile, the qualitative approach was conducted using the ZMET technique (interviews using images). The results show that food preference has a significant positive effect on consumption behavior, both directly and through the mediation of food neophobia, while food neophobia has a significant negative effect on consumption behavior. Qualitative findings through ZMET confirm that visual appeal and nutritional content are the main drivers of student preference, while poor food quality and safety are the main triggers of food neophobia and potential food waste.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of the transformation process of village cooperatives toward the Merah Putih Cooperative model as an institutional innovation to strengthen community economic self-reliance. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study examines the dynamics of the policy’s implementation in Lendang Ara Village through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results indicate that the transformation process proceeds gradually through organizational restructuring and human resource capacity building, demonstrating progress in managerial capabilities and the adaptability of cooperative leaders. However, policy implementation still faces significant challenges, particularly regarding low digital literacy, limited digital infrastructure, and an administrative system that remains predominantly manual. Additionally, the dimension of business networking with external parties has not been systematically maximized. In conclusion, the transformation toward the Koperasi Merah Putih model holds great potential to enhance efficiency and competitiveness; however, its success is highly dependent on strengthened regulations, the provision of digital facilities, and consistent technical support to ensure the transformation process can proceed sustainably

Abstract

Social media such as TikTok, Instagram, and Shopee encourage impulsive buying among students at the Nurul Jadid University (UNUJA) religious Islamic boarding school in Probolinggo. Through FOMO (fear of missing out) tactics, viral content, and viral discounts, this contradicts Islamic consumption ethics based on qana'ah (contentment), an attitude of satisfaction and sufficiency with Allah SWT's sustenance. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of 15 students selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted through source triangulation with member checking techniques to ensure the reliability and validity of the findings. The research findings indicate that 13 of the 15 students have made unplanned impulsive purchases after being exposed to content on social media, triggered by visual appeal, discount offers, the influence of influencers, and easy access to digital transactions. Although some students are beginning to recognize the negative impacts, the practice of qana'ah values ??is still not fully visible in real attitudinal changes. This study addresses the limited lack of spiritual research in the context of modern Islamic boarding schools and supports the development of Islamic character education in the digital era. This study fills the gap in spiritual studies that is limited to the context of contemporary Islamic boarding schools and supports the development of Islamic character education in the digital era. Academically, this research contributes by expanding the study of impulsive buying through the perspective of contentment (qanaah) in the context of Islamic boarding school students. Practically, these findings can serve as a basis for strengthening Islamic character education and digital literacy, enabling students to better manage their consumption in the social media era.
