Abstract

Complete basic immunization is a primary preventive measure to reduce morbidity and mortality among children under five; however, immunization compliance remains uneven. Maternal knowledge is often considered an important factor in shaping immunization behavior, although its influence may vary across contexts. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between maternal knowledge of complete basic immunization and immunization compliance among children aged 0–24 months. A quantitative analytic design was employed, with primary data collected through structured instruments measuring maternal knowledge levels and children’s immunization status. Data were analyzed using appropriate inferential statistical tests to assess the association between variables. The results indicated a significant relationship between maternal knowledge level and immunization compliance, whereby mothers with higher knowledge levels tended to have children with more complete immunization status. Nevertheless, immunization compliance was not solely determined by maternal knowledge, as it was also influenced by variations in child age, immunization schedules, access to health services, and family support. This study highlights that maternal knowledge functions as an important enabling factor, but requires supportive service contexts and social environments to enhance the sustainability and effectiveness of immunization programs.

Abstract

This study focuses on examining the effectiveness of integrating situational leadership with traditional values to enhance student discipline in Islamic boarding schools. The primary objective is to explore how a holistic leadership training program, tailored to the unique cultural context of pesantren, can improve student adherence to school regulations and foster self-discipline. A qualitative case study method was employed, involving in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. Data were collected from school administrators, teachers, and students at Nurul Jadid Middle School in Probolinggo, East Java. The findings indicate that the integration of situational leadership principles with the values of pesantren significantly improves student discipline, resulting in a more orderly and conducive learning environment. The study's implications suggest that this model can be adopted by similar institutions to enhance student behavior and academic outcomes. The research contributes to the growing body of literature on educational leadership and discipline, particularly within the context of Islamic education.

Abstract

Remaja putri sering menghadapi tantangan terkait pemahaman, kesiapan mental, dan keterampilan dalam menghadapi menstruasi pertama (menarche), yang sering kali disertai dengan kecemasan, rasa takut, dan penolakan terhadap perubahan tubuh mereka. Masalah ini diperburuk oleh minimnya edukasi kesehatan reproduksi yang tepat dan masih adanya stigma sosial terkait pembahasan menstruasi. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah memberikan edukasi kesehatan reproduksi yang berbasis pendekatan partisipatif kepada remaja putri di SMP Negeri 1 Paiton. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan interaktif, diskusi kelompok terarah, serta penyuluhan psikososial yang melibatkan siswa, guru, dan orang tua. Solusi yang diusulkan adalah pembuatan e-Buku Saku edukatif yang disesuaikan dengan usia dan perkembangan siswa, serta peningkatan kapasitas guru untuk mendampingi siswa dalam memahami menstruasi secara holistik. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan literasi kesehatan reproduksi, memperkuat kepercayaan diri remaja putri, dan menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih suportif terhadap isu menstruasi. Kesimpulannya, edukasi yang sistematis dan kolaboratif antara sekolah dan keluarga sangat penting untuk mempersiapkan remaja putri dalam menghadapi menarche dengan positif. Diharapkan hasil pengabdian ini dapat dilanjutkan sebagai program berkelanjutan di sekolah.
