Abstract

INFLUENCE OF PLANTING MEDIA ON THE SUCCESS OF WHITE ROMBUSASTEM   CUTTINGS(Tabernaemontana coryimbusa)Nurkholis1, Sarbino2, Agus Hariyanti3 1Agriculture; Faculty University of Tanjungpura2Agriculture; Faculty University of Tanjungpura3Agriculture; Faculty University of Tanjungpurae-mail*nurkholis­_h@ymail.com ABSTRAKWhite rombusa is an ornamental plant that has a green-white leaf pattern as well as beautiful flowers with white color and has five crowns resembling a ship's propeller with the bottom shaped like a small pipe. This study aims to determine the effect of planting media on the success of  white rombusa stem cuttings and get the best planting media. The research was conducted at Bening Multi Flora Garden of Ampera Kota Baru Pontianak from March 30 - May 10, 2017. The design used Completely Randomized Design with treatment m1 = PMK soil (kontrol),  m2 = PMK soil andcharcoal husk(1:1), m3 = PMK soil andcow manure(1:1),        m4 = PMK soil and charcoal husk(2:1), m5 = PMK soil and cow manure(2:1),  m6 = PMK soil, charcoal husk, and cow manure. Observation parameters Percentage of live cuttings (%), Leaf emeration time (days), Number of shoots (fruit), Number of leaves (length), (cm), Root length (cm). Planting medium has an effect on to success of stem of  white rombusa and treatment PMK soil and cow manure (1:1) gives the best influence to the success percentage variable of live cut 70,85, Number of shoots 3,25,Number of leaves 8,00, Shoot length 6,05 and Root lengt 5,05 compared with other treatment. Keywords: Charcoal Husk, Cow Manure, Soil PMK

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan berbagai konsentrasi MOL limbah ikan terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah pada tanah gambut. Penelitian dilakukan di kebun yang terletak di Jalan Rasau Jaya II patok 34 Kubu Raya mulai tanggal 13 Mei - 21 Juli 2016.  Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 6 perlakuan. Setiap perlakuan terdiri dari  4 ulangan dan setiap unit perlakuan terdiri dari 4 sampel tanaman. Perlakuan tersebut adalah tanpa pemberian MOL limbah ikan (p0), pemberian MOL limbah ikan dengan konsentrasi 50 ml/liter (p1), 150 ml/liter (p2), 250 ml/liter (p3), 350 ml/liter (p4) dan 450 ml/liter (p5). Variabel pengamatan dalam penelitian ini adalah tinggi tanaman per rumpun, jumlah daun tanaman               per rumpun, jumlah umbi tanaman per rumpun, berat segar umbi tanaman          per rumpun dan berat kering angin tanaman per rumpun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan MOL limbah ikan berpengaruh terhadap, pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah pada tanah gambut pada variabel tinggi tanaman    per rumpun, berat segar umbi tanaman per rumpun, dan berat kering angin tanaman per rumpun   Kata kunci: Bawang Merah, MOL Limbah Ikan, Tanah Gambut

Abstract

This study aims to determine the growth response of California papaya seeds and to find the best dose of sugarcane compost application for the growth of California papaya seeds. The study was conducted at the Campus of Tanjungpura University, Pontianak for 3 months. The method used was a field experiment with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) pattern, consisting of 6 treatments, 4 replications and 3 samples. Treatment b1 = dosage 150 g / poly bag ≈ 5% sugarcane compost b1 = dose 225 g / polybag ≈ 7.5% sugarcane compost b3 = 300 g / polybag dose ≈ 10% sugarcane compost b4 = 375 g dose / polybag ≈ 12.5% sugarcane compost b5 = doses 450 g / polybag ≈ 15% sugarcane compost and b6 = 525 g dose / polybag ≈ 17.5% sugarcane compost in a composition of 3 kg media weight each. The observation variables were plant height, number of leaves, leaf chlorophyll content, stem diameter, root volume and plant dry weight. The results of this experiment proved that the use of 150 g / polybag sugarcane compost was an effective dose for the growth of papaya seeds. Abstract

The data and results of field observations show that Punggur Kecil Village is identical to the economically weak community and depends on agriculture for its livelihood which is to cultivate plants using inorganic fertilizers. Inorganic fertilizers are widely used by farmers, this is because they are more efficient and effective than organic fertilizers. Whereas the continuous use of chemical fertilizers causes the land to be damaged and cannot provide the carrying capacity for human life. This happens because the community does not have the knowledge and skills in processing household waste into organic fertilizer which is more environmentally friendly. Therefore, the abundance of natural resources in Bilayuk Village from the agricultural aspect cannot be utilized optimally due to limited human resources. The results showed that the material for processing household waste into organic compost using the Takakura method could be understood by 68% of the target audience, overall the participants liked the use of Takakura compost in the cultivation of vegetable crops produced by the distribution of 14% of participants who preferred inorganic fertilizers, 27 % prefer Takakura’s organic compost, and 59% like both. ==== Data dan hasil observasi lapangan menunjukkan bahwa Desa Punggur Kecil identik dengan masyarakat ekonomi lemah dan menggantungkan hidupnya dari pertanian apa adanya, yang dalam melakukan budi daya tanamannya menggunakan pupuk anorganik. Pupuk anorganik banyak digunakan oleh petani karena lebih efektif dan efisien daripada pupuk organik. Padahal, penggunaan pupuk kimia yang terus-menerus dapat menyebabkan lahan menjadi rusak dan tidak dapat memberikan daya dukung bagi kehidupan manusia. Hal tersebut terjadi karena masyarakat tidak mempunyai pengetahuai dan keterampilan dalam mengolah limbah rumah tangga menjadi pupuk organik yang lebih ramah lingkungan. Oleh sebab itu, melimpahnya sumber daya alam di Desa Bilayuk dari aspek pertanian tidak dapat dimanfaatkan secara maksimal karena keterbatasan sumber daya manusia. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa materi pengolahan limbah rumah tangga menjadi kompos organik dengan metode Takakura dapat dipahami oleh 68% dari khalayak sasaran. Secara keseluruhan peserta menyukai penggunaan kompos Takakura dalam budi daya tanaman sayur-sayuran yang dihasilkan dengan pembagian 14% peserta yang lebih menyukai pupuk anorganik, 27% lebih menyukai kompos organik Takakura, dan 59% menyukai keduanya.
