Abstract

This research proposes a design and implementation of a culvert monitoring system, based on amphibious robots that resemble ship shapes. This robot, enable to work on land or on the surface of water. A robot control algorithm, based on Arduino microcontroller programming designed and modeled as human and robot interaction, so users can interact directly with the robot in movement control. The outputs generated on this monitoring system are images and sound. Images and sounds obtained from Mobius camera installed on the robot. The results of monitoring and control of robots is controlled wirelessly, so it can perform robot control and monitoring of long-distance culvert and different places. The system proposed in this study can be implemented and applied in real terms, as a system that can help and facilitate the monitoring of water tunnel

Abstract

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan bahan ajar web berbasis Weebly pada tema 8 subtema 1 kelas IV SD Negeri 065000 Medan Marelan layak dan efektif. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan ini, yang mengacu pada model penelitian dan pengembangan ADDIE, menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis web yang dikembangkan menggunakan Weebly memperoleh presentase kelayakan dari ahli media sebesar 75% dan dinyatakan "layak", presentase kelayakan dari ahli materi sebesar 85,71% dan dinyatakan "sangat layak", dan presentase kelayakan dari praktisi pendidikan sebesar 97,3% dan dinyatakan "sangat layak". Hasil dari tahap uji coba lapangan menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis web weebly memenuhi kriteria keefektifan dengan nilai sekitar 85,71% pada post-test dari 21 peserta didik. Dengan demikian, bahan ajar berbasis web ini dianggap layak digunakan dalam proses belajar dan mengajar.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the feasibility and effectiveness of using Weebly-based web teaching materials on theme 8 sub-themes 1 class IV SDN 065000 Medan Marelan. This research is about research and development, which refers to the ADDIE research and development model. The results of this research and development show that web-based teaching materials using Weebly that have been developed obtain a percentage eligibility from media experts of 75% and are declared "decent", a percentage eligibility from material experts of 85.71% and are declared "very feasible", and a feasibility percentage from education practitioners of 97.3% and are declared "very feasible". The results of personal trials for web teaching materials using Weebly get an average score of 1, which is in the "good" category. The results of the field trial phase showed that the effectiveness criterion achieved with a total of 19 students in the post-test was around 85.71%. Based on these tests, web-based teaching materials using Weebly are declared suitable for use in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

The financial market often experiences unexpected fluctuations that can impact stock values. Therefore, investors require hedging strategies to protect their investment values from unwanted price fluctuations. This study compares the hedging results using the strangle strategy on Vanilla options and Capped options on Micron Technology, Inc. (MU) stock. The methods used are Monte Carlo simulation and Black Scholes Merton to calculate the option prices. The research results indicate that the strangle strategy on Vanilla options has unlimited maximum profit potential, whereas on Capped options, the profit is capped above. However, the potential maximum loss on Capped options is lower than that on Vanilla options. Therefore, Capped options are preferred for hedging the MU stock. The research yields significant practical and theoretical benefits. Practically, it offers investors insights into more effective hedging choices for risk management and profit potential in the stock market. Opting for capped options allows investors to control risk better while preserving profit potential. Theoretically, the study enhances our understanding of cost efficiency and risk profiles across various options strategies, making a vital contribution to financial literature.

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini, digunakan plant sistem kolom distilasi tipe batch untuk memisahkan larutan biner campuran etanol dan air. Agar dapat mengimplementasikan skema sistem kendali, diperlukan pemodelan sistem kolom distilasi. Namun, masalahnya plant sistem kolom distilasi tersebut adalah sistem yang highly nonlinear dengan terbatasnya jumlah sensor yang dimiliki untuk memperoleh semua informasi states. Akibatnya, sistem kolom distilasi diidentifikasi menggunakan pendekatan black-box modeling berbasis data input-output eksperimen memanfaatkan Artificial Neural Network (ANN) untuk memperoleh model Nonlinear Autoregressive with eXogenous inputs (NARX). Hasil dengan MSE terbaik dicapai pada kasus tanpa noise pengukuran menggunakan algoritma EKF dengan hyperparameter  yang menghasilkan MSE sebesar 6,9896e-05. Selanjutnya, dapat dilihat pula pada kasus dengan noise ringan, algoritma EKF dengan hyperparameter  mampu konvergen dengan paling cepat, yaitu pada sekitar instance ke-6. Untuk setiap kasus, secara umum, semakin kecil nilai  maka semakin cepat identifikasi sistemnya konvergen, namun dengan trade-off di mana MSE yang dihasilkan menjadi sedikit memburuk. Kata Kunci: sistem kolom distilasi, identifikasi sistem berbasis data, model NARX, algoritma EKF
