Abstract

A green environment is an area inhabited by various types of plant vegetation, and living organisms create a balanced and healthy ecosystem. The existence of plants, trees, shrubs and other vegetation makes a major contribution to ecological balance and environmental welfare. Green environmental education is very important in order to make people aware of the environment. Environmental awareness is defined as, it is hoped that it will be able to form a human character who loves the environment. Prospective educators are expected to be able to provide knowledge and instill in students the character of caring for the environment. The aim of this research is to determine the role of prospective educators in creating a green environment through social studies learning. This type of research is library research using the document study method. The research results show that the role of prospective educators in creating a green environment can be realized through social studies learning as a learning resource that will create a green environment (Go Green).

Abstract

Learning models are important in teaching and learning activities. Implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model or problem-solving learning model is one way for educators to attract enthusiastic students to have more fun learning and understand the material. Including science and technology material using the PBL model is an effort by educators at SDN 2 Brangkal to be able to convey material that follows the Merdeka curriculum well. We conducted this research to improve the learning outcomes of grade 4 students at SDN 2 Brangkal using the PBL learning model in the science material Chapter 6 "Indonesia is Rich in Culture". The method we use in this research is descriptive qualitative through observation or class observations and documentation. So we can conclude that teaching and learning activities using the PBL model can attract students' enthusiasm for learning. And get maximum learning results. As an educator, choosing learning models and strategies is very necessary to support students' success in achieving a goal.

Abstract

Pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai budaya lokal dalam proses pembelajaran untuk menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih relevan dan bermakna bagi peserta didik. Di bidang pendidikan dasar, pengembangan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis CRT menjadi salah satu inovasi penting untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan hasil belajar, terutama dalam mata pelajaran Matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pendekatan CRT dalam pengembangan LKPD Matematika di SD Negeri 2 Brangkal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan tahapan presentasi kepada pendidik dan evaluasi lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan CRT pada LKPD Matematika tidak hanya meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik, tetapi juga memperkuat rasa identitas budaya serta penghargaan terhadap keberagaman. Penelitian ini juga mengungkap tantangan yang dihadapi oleh pendidik dalam mengembangkan LKPD berbasis CRT, termasuk keterbatasan pemahaman dan keterampilan pedagogik terkait pendekatan tersebut. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pelatihan bagi guru dalam menyusun LKPD berbasis CRT untuk mendukung pembelajaran kontekstual dan bermakna. Pengembangan LKPD berbasis CRT berpotensi menjadi strategi efektif dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang inklusif dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan peserta didik.

Abstract

Sentra Industri Kecil Somber (SIKS) produces sludge waste from the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). Sludge can be utilized as a renewable energy source, for example by processing it into briquettes. This research uses a mixture of cassava peel biomass to increase the calorific value of briquettes and uses tapioca starch adhesive. The purpose of this research is to analyze the characteristics of briquettes produced by WWTP sludge with a mixture of cassava peel and analyze the optimum composition variation of WWTP sludge and cassava peel waste on briquette characteristics with the composition of WWTP sludge, cassava peel, and adhesive of (10:83:7); (15:78:7); (20:73:7); (25:68:7); (30:63:7). The parameters tested are moisture content, ash content, volatile matter, fixed carbon and calorific value based on ASTM, after which data processing is carried out with the help of software, namely graphs with Sigma Plot and Microsoft Excel software to facilitate and minimize errors or human errors. The water content of briquettes A, B, C, D, E was 4.2%, 4.8%, 5.4%, 5.7%, 5.9%. Ash content 12.8%, 13.7%, 14.5%, 15.6%, 16.8%. Volatile matter 12.2%, 14.3%, 15.2%, 15.9%, 16.2%. Fixed Carbon 70.8%, 67.2%, 64.9%, 62.8%, 61.1%. Calorific value 3301.04 cal/gr, 3245.2 cal/gr, 3223.36 cal/gr, 3187.54 cal/gr, 3172.98 cal/gr. The optimum briquette characteristics that meet SNI 6235-2000 are briquette A with a moisture content of 4.2%, volatile matter of 10.2% and those that are close to SNI 6235-2000 are ash content parameters of 12.8%, fixed carbon of 70.8% and calorific value of 3301.04 cal/gr.
