Abstract

Abstract The creative industry is one of the industrial fields that has great opportunities to develop rapidly and make a significant economic contribution. The creative industry, which includes various forms of industry that prioritize the creativity and thinking abilities of the perpetrators, is closely related to the culture in that place. Indonesia's diverse cultural richness provides great potential for the development of creative industries. Based on efforts to collaborate for better education for people in the community who need knowledge and expertise in the field of fashion design, it is necessary to carry out community service activities in the form of skills training in Muara Gembong District, Bekasi Regency. The training that will be provided is knowledge and skills about making casual pants. This training aims to introduce the theory and practice of casual trousers to female students at Madinatul Ilmi Islamic Middle School, Muara Gembong District, Bekasi Regency. This activity aims to provide skills in the field of clothing, namely making simple casual trousers so that they are interested in making their own casual trousers. This activity is one of the dedications of an academic in the Tridharma in college. The output of this activity is manufacturing.manufacturing. Abstrak Industri kreatif adalah salah satu bidang industri yang memiliki peluang besar untuk berkembang pesat dalam memberikan kontribusi ekonomi yang signifikan. Industri kreatif yang meliputi berbagai bentuk industri yang mengedepankan kreativitas dan kemampuan berpikir dari para pelakunya, memiliki kaitan yang erat dengan budaya yang ada di tempat tersebut. Kekayaan budaya di Indonesia yang sangat beragam memberikan potensi yang besar bagi pengembangan industri kreatif. Berdasarkan upaya melakukan kerjasama untuk pendidikan yang lebih baik bagi para masyarkat yang membutuhkan pengetahuan dan keahlian di bidang tata busana, maka perlu dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat dalam bentuk pelatihan keterampilan kepada Kecamatan Muara Gembong, Kabupaten Bekasi. Pelatihan yang akan diberikan adalah pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang membuat celana santai. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan teori dan praktek celana kasual kepada siswi SMP Islam Madinatul Ilmi Kecamatan Muara Gembong Kabupaten Bekasi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan keterampilan dalam bidang busana yaitu membuat celana kasual sederhana agar mereka tertarik untuk membuat celana kasual sendiri. Kegiatan ini merupakan salah satu pengabdian seorang akademisi dalam Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi. Luaran dari kegiatan ini adalah pembuatan.

Abstract

The research will be carried out for one year located in Jakarta. The purpose of this study is to obtain data and assessment of bomber jacket products with the application of contemporary Indonesian motifs. This research is a follow-up research on the Exploration of Ornamental Varieties of the Archipelago in the Form of Contemporary Motifs with Digital Techniques for Textile Design. From the results of previous research motifs, contemporary motifs with a variety of archipelago ornaments were produced. In this study, the motif will be applied to swimsuits. The motif applied was chosen by adjusting the shape and function of the women's swimsuit. A swimsuit is a sportswear that is used in a sports atmosphere, precisely in water. So far, women's swimsuits are more plain or patterned with lines and identities from a company. So in this study, the researcher tried to make a swimsuit with contemporary motifs typical of the archipelago. This study is an explanatory study that uses the survey method. The methodology used is the mix method. The analysis method used is descriptive analysis. This study adapts the purposive sampling technique. Purposive sampling is a sampling technique based on the data obtained in this study, first in the form of interview results from five expert panelists in the field of sports education and fashion practitioners which are analyzed descriptively. Then the second is the results of the questionnaire and acceptability in women aged 17-25 years. The research was conducted from February to September 2023. From this method, an assessment of swimsuits that are in accordance with the research objectives and adolescent acceptability will be found. Through this research, it is hoped that it can contribute to the design of contemporary motifs typical of the archipelago that are applied to fashion products, one of which is swimsuits. This can also add value to the love for the local culture of the archipelago which is implemented through contemporary motifs. In addition, it is hoped that it can be a reference and reference in the application of typical Indonesian motifs in the world of education and business.

Abstract

Wastra Nusantara memiliki potensi besar untuk dikembangkan dalam industri fashion, baik di tingkat nasional maupun global. Dalam konteks pendidikan vokasi tata busana, pemanfaatan wastra lokal masih sering terbatas pada aspek teknis dan belum sepenuhnya mengadopsi pendekatan inovatif yang berorientasi pada pasar. Studi ini menggunakan metode analisis kualitatif terhadap literatur yang relevan serta dokumen tugas akhir mahasiswa Program Studi Sarjana Terapan Desain Mode, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, untuk mengevaluasi potensi komersialisasi karya yang menggunakan wastra lokal. Pendekatan design thinking diterapkan sebagai kerangka analisis dalam mengkaji proses pengembangan produk yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa desain mode. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa design thinking berperan penting dalam membuka peluang inovasi melalui pemahaman nilai budaya, penguatan empati terhadap pengguna, serta penyesuaian rancangan dengan kebutuhan pasar. Karya mahasiswa Program Studi Desain Mode menunjukkan potensi untuk ditransformasikan menjadi produk fashion siap jual, seperti busana kerja bermotif etnik, modest wear kontemporer, hingga produk fashion berkelanjutan. Kajian ini menegaskan bahwa design thinking dapat menjadi jembatan antara pelestarian budaya dan pengembangan produk kreatif, sekaligus memperkuat kontribusi pendidikan vokasi tata busana dalam mendukung hilirisasi industri kreatif. Rekomendasi mencakup penguatan kurikulum, pengembangan jejaring dengan UMKM, serta kolaborasi bersama pelaku industri wastra untuk mendorong komersialisasi yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This research examines the application of contemporary Nusantara batik motifs to women's swimwear using digital printing techniques, with a specific focus on measuring product dimensions, design elements, and design principles. The study employed a mixed-methods approach combining quantitative surveys with expert panel assessments. Data were collected from five design and textile experts and 100 female respondents aged 18-25 years through validated instruments measuring three key variables: product dimensions (functionality, aesthetics, comfort), design elements (form, color, texture), and design principles (balance, harmony, proportion). Statistical analysis using PLS-SEM revealed that both product dimensions (β=0.482, t=7.171, p<0.001) and design elements (β=0.424, t=6.327, p<0.001) significantly influence the acceptance of design principles in batik-inspired swimwear. The highest consumer acceptance was for the "appearance of batik motifs on swimwear" (mean 4.27) and "harmony of batik colors in swimwear" (mean 4.22). These findings demonstrate that traditional Indonesian motifs can be successfully adapted to contemporary functional garments while preserving cultural significance. This research contributes to the growing field of culturally-inspired fashion innovation by providing a methodological framework for evaluating the integration of traditional motifs in modern applications and offers practical insights for designers and manufacturers seeking to develop culturally distinctive products for younger consumers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to interpret the decorative motifs of the Tapis Lampung Raja Medal to reveal the meaning of the text using the Nusantara hermeneutic theory approach. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method through the Nusantara hermeneutic theory approach, namely ma'nā-cum-maghzā from Sahiron Syamsudin. The results of this study reveal that the Tapis Raja Medal has a literal meaning of the text, historical and dynamic phenomenal significance. This meaning is broadly related to the relationship between leaders and people who are jointly responsible for realizing a peaceful, prosperous and faithful life in God the Universe. Interpretation of artifacts from the ancestors of Indonesian craftsmen should be done through the application of hermeneutic theory from Nusantara figures who have closer cultural ties and perspectives than those from the Western world. This can enrich the range of perspectives on interpreting the meaning and philosophy of Nusantara cultural artifacts.
