Abstract

The disassembly phase in remanufacturing currently takes an average of 8 days, surpassing the standard of 7 days due to non-value-added activities, as known as waste. Although efforts to handle this issue have been made, they have introduced new challenges, particularly time waste in system adjustments. This study addresses the problem by employing TRIZ and Root Conflict Analysis (RCA+) methods to identify contradictions and propose innovative solutions to minimize waste. Findings reveal a 25% waste activity, with waiting activities contributing to 19% of the total. The research identifies 5 contradictions, each having both negative and positive impacts on the disassembly process. Proposed solutions involve implementing Magnetic Particle Testing or Ultrasonic Testing, organizing tiered boxes, offering understanding and inspection supervision to mechanics, utilizing a variety of wrench sizes, and developing a checklist for disassembly stages based on the sequence of main components.

Abstract

In the material procurement process, there are often delays in the arrival of materials that cause maintenance and operational delays. Evaluation of the material procurement process is necessary to identify the factors that cause delays. Utility and waiting time for various staff showed significant variations, with the highest waiting time at the approving stage (4-24 hours) and the creation of TOR, FPB, RAB documents (1-11 hours). Utilization at the FPB, TOR, RAB creation staff from 13% to 62%, RO staff 6%-55%, HPE staff 50%-77%, RKS staff 10%-52%, approving user team, assistant manager to manager of 73%-90%, PDP staff 0%-45%, HPS staff 0%-45%, PPP staff 0%-44%, entry staff 61%-81%, eval staff 4%-41%, BA staff 0-56%, PO staff 8-52%. Three improvement scenarios were developed, with scenarios 2 and 3 being the best, scenario 2 reducing resources and scenario 3 increasing the purchase of certain materials, in order to optimize inventory.

Abstract

The number of traffic accidents related to motorbikes in Balikpapan City increases every year, this is caused by motorbike riders committing traffic violations, so efforts are needed to implement safe driving behavior for motorbike riders. This research aims to determine the fit of the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) model with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach and determine the variables that have a significant influence in determining the influence of motorbike rider behavior on driving safety in Balikpapan City. This research uses primary data from 322 motorbike riders in Balikpapan City using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method and Partial Least Square (PLS) approach which was processed using SmartPLS software. The results of the research show that the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) model with the Partial Least Square approach is declared fit and there are two variables that have a significant influence, namely risk perception and aggressive behavior variables
