Abstract

Health education or perianesthesia health education for patients who will perform anesthesia is very important to provide information on how they should prepare before and after the anesthesia procedure. Perianesthesia health education contains matters related to anesthesia actions from pre, intra, to post-anesthesia and will affect patient readiness in facing post-anesthesia conditions. Perianesthesia health education has not been carried out optimally due to various factors. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the provision of perianesthesia education in Indonesia. The design of this study was cross-sectional. The population taken is anesthesiologists throughout Indonesia. The data analysis used is a multivariate binary logistic regression test. The results of the analysis found that most anesthesiologists had a high implementation of perianesthesia education (59.8%). Interpersonal relationships (adj. OR: 2.81) and social support (adj. OR: 2.30) were significantly associated with perianesthesia education. Further research still needs to be done with longitudinal research methods or in the long term and continuously can be done so that the results of the study are always by changes that may occur.

Abstract

Education on anesthesia for cardiovascular disorders includes matters related to anesthesia from pre, intra, to post anesthesia and will affect how prepared the patient is to face post-anesthesia conditions. Education on anesthesia has not been implemented optimally, its implementation only focuses on pre-anesthesia preparation, while for intra and post anesthesia its implementation has not been optimal. This is influenced by several factors. Through this study, we want to know the factors that influence anesthesiologists in providing education on anesthesia procedures in surgical patients with cardiovascular disorders. The research design used was a correlation analytic study with a cross-sectional approach. The population taken was anesthesiologists in Indonesia with a purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study was 254 anesthesiologists with a purposive sampling technique. Bivariate analysis with the chi square test was carried out to test the factors that influence anesthesiologists in providing education on anesthesia procedures in surgical patients with cardiovascular disorders. The results of the study concluded that work patterns had a significant relationship with the provision of education (p <0.001), while length of work (p 0.823) and workload (p 0.113) were not significantly related to the level of education provision. Further research is recommended on the dominant factors that influence the provision of education on anesthesia procedures in surgical patients with cardiovascular disorders.

Abstract

Anesthesia care is a comprehensive series of care activities for patients who are unable to help themselves during pre-, intra-, and post-anesthesia procedures. The quality of an anesthesiologist can be seen in the provision of anesthesia nursing care. This study aims to determine the perceptions of anesthesiologists in Indonesia regarding anesthesiology nursing care. The research design used was descriptive research with a cross-sectional approach. The population sampled was anesthetists in Bali. Univariate analysis was performed by determining the frequency distribution and percentage of anesthetists' perceptions of anesthesiology nursing care. This study used a questionnaire regarding anesthesiologists' perceptions of anesthesiology nursing care methods with a Cronbach Alpha value of 0.634. The results of the study concluded that the perception of anesthesiologists regarding major anesthesiology nursing care methods was mostly in the good category, namely 64 people (64.6%), while those in the adequate category were 36 people (36.0%).

Abstract

Pre-anesthesia assessment is very important in ensuring the success of surgical procedures, especially in cases involving comorbidities, such as cardiovascular disorders. Pre-anesthesia assessment is often only performed by 19.5% of anesthesiologists, and the results are not recorded immediately after the procedure in the patient's medical records due to time constraints. This study aims to determine the factors that influence anesthesiologists in conducting pre-anesthesia assessments on surgical patients with cardiovascular disorders. The research design used was a correlational analytical study with a cross-sectional approach. The population was anesthetists in Indonesia, and the sample was selected using purposive sampling. Univariate analysis was performed by determining the frequency distribution and percentage of general characteristics of respondents, while bivariate analysis with chi-square was performed to determine the relationship between factors affecting anesthetists in conducting pre-anesthesia assessment on surgical patients with cardiovascular disorders. The sample size in this study was 245 respondents. The results of the study showed that factors associated with the implementation of pre-anesthesia assessment in surgical patients with cardiovascular disorders were length of service (p 0.020), workload (p 0.018), and number of anesthesiologists (p 0.009).
