Abstract

Implementation of policies for the Arrangement and Development of Traditional Markets, Shopping Centers and Modern Stores is a planning process in an effort to improve order, order and security, and is a process carried out to change individual behavior and shape their personality, so that what they aspire to can be achieved as expected. This research aims to analyze the implementation of policies for the arrangement and development of traditional markets, shopping centers and modern shops in the city of Palembang. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation, while the analysis technique used in this research is qualitative data analysis techniques. This research shows that the implementation of guidance, supervision and evaluation of the management of Shopping Centers and Modern Stores is carried out by the Mayor. Coaching takes the form of creating a management system for training human resources, consultation, facilitating cooperation, while supervision is carried out on the business management of Shopping Centers and Modern Stores. The Mayor coordinates with the Governor of South Sumatra and the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia to: Anticipate possible problems arising in the management of shopping centers and modern stores; and Taking the necessary steps to resolve problems resulting from the establishment of modern shopping centers and shops. To improve the weaknesses found in the Implementation of Policies for the Arrangement and Development of Traditional Markets, Shopping Centers and Modern Stores in the City of Palembang, it is necessary to increase the use of verbal communication from subordinates to superiors, using written communication so that subordinates can provide feedback/responses to messages conveyed by superiors. Steps that must be taken by the Palembang City government, especially the Department of Industry and Trade to develop traditional markets include empowering the modern market itself which is carried out by the local city government.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of the change of function on agricultural land which is currently an area for the chicken farming industry in Terentang Village, Banyuasin Regency. This research uses a qualitative research method approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. Data is in the form of information collected through interviews conducted with informants. Data analysis goes through several stages, namely data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the impact of changing the function of agricultural land into a chicken farming industrial area, case study, socio-economic conditions of village communities is broad, namely measured based on economic, social and ecological impacts. The economic impact is measured based on production costs and production prices which have a positive impact on the community and chicken farming business owners so that it can create prosperity for rural communities; Social Impact on the community has a negative impact, namely the smell of chicken droppings which disrupts community activities, which will have an impact on the health of the local community; Then the ecological impact is making existing land used as a chicken farming area making it difficult to use for farming, this of course requires quite a long time to restore the soil's fertility. The conversion of agricultural land into chicken farming industrial areas has had quite a significant impact, starting from the socio-economic aspects of the community in the village, which has improved so that prosperity can be created for the community, compared to before the conversion of land, which had caused the economic condition of the community to drop drastically with the price of rubber which is low, and different when the land function is changed, the economic condition of the community improves again.

Abstract

Garbage collector officers are the informal sector in the context of waste management as a whole in a crucial position. the parties that fill the informal sector, namely garbage collectors who work at the Sukawinatan final waste collection site (TPA), to collect waste for processing and sale. Garbage collector officers are involved in selling recyclable inorganic waste because these activities can increase income for them, although this is not proportional to the risk of accidents and disease exposure due to their work as a garbage collector. This service is carried out to find out the economic aspects of the income and work risks of garbage collectors during the pandemic. The results of the socialization are expected that garbage collector officers can prioritize their health during the pandemic so that garbage collectors can avoid the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Abstract

The activity of making mask straps was carried out as an effort to develop the creativity of the elderly in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The activity was carried out at the Harapan Kita Orphanage, Palembang City, involving all elderly people of productive age. This activity aims to provide knowledge about the importance of using masks in protecting oneself from exposure to the COVID-19 virus. The method used in implementing activities is participatory with several stages including 1) Preparation stage, 2) Implementation stage consisting of providing materials and equipment; Training and education; Creative ideas from the elderly; Collaboration and discussion; Mini exhibition in the orphanage's meeting hall; and Giving appreciation to the elderly group, 3) Evaluation Stage. The results of the activity have a positive impact not only on the elderly but also on the administrators of social institutions. The success of this activity shows the extraordinary potential of elderly creativity in responding to global health challenges, while also strengthening social ties and well-being among the elderly.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to socialize village transportation development innovations through WhatsApp-based online motorcycle taxis in Galang Tinggi Village, Banyuasin III. The benefit of this activity is that people's understanding of technology can be applied to village transportation needs, at least it can provide an alternative in facilitating access to accelerating the economy and continuity of community in the village. The method of implementing the activity is in two stages, coordinating with the Head of Galang Tinggi Village to obtain an overview and initial data regarding the geographic profile and conditions, village demographics and digital capabilities of community members. The second stage is implementing socialization on the use of WhatsApp social media as an information medium for online motorcycle taxis to facilitate public transportation. This activity provides knowledge and understanding as well as an enthusiastic attitude to initiate business opportunities for online motorcycle taxi transportation services. This activity is very important in efforts to achieve early progress in digital society. The hope is that people can take advantage of digital means to create business opportunities that can reach a wider market and are cost efficient.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Dalam dunia akademik, penggunaan bahasa yang tepat dan sesuai kaidah tata bahasa Indonesia menjadi aspek krusial untuk menyampaikan penelitian secara efektif dan jelas. Studi ini bertujuan untuk memberikan panduan bagi mahasiswa dalam menyusun metode penelitian yang sesuai dengan kaidah linguistik agar tidak terjadi kesalahan dalam penulisan karya ilmiah. Metode: Ceramah, tanya jawab, quiz, diskusi, evaluasi dan dihadiri oleh 34 orang mahasiswa yang terdiri dari mahasiswa semester satu, tiga, dan lima. Hasil: Mahasiswa mendapatkan pengetahuan dan manfaat mengenai tata bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar, penulisan EYD (Ejaan yang Disempurnakan), pemilihan istilah yang tepat, dan struktur penulisan karya ilmiah yang efektif. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menginspirasi dan memberikan stimulus pada mahasiswa untuk lebih mengeksplorasi lebih dalam penggunaan bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar sebagai bagian integral dari sebuah penulisan karya ilmiah, sehingga dapat meningkatkan mutu dan kredibilitas penelitian yang dihasilkan.

Abstract

The rapid evolution of digital technology has significantly reshaped the way mass media communicate and manage crises, especially when unexpected situations arise and spread quickly. Digital disruption has not only accelerated the flow of information, but also increased the risk of reputational damage for media organizations. This study explores crisis management strategies adopted by several national media outlets in response to incidents involving misinformation, public backlash on social media, and breaches of journalistic ethics. Using a qualitative case study approach, this research examines how these media institutions address challenges and their impact on public trust and institutional reputation. The findings indicate that media organizations equipped with adaptive and technology-integrated crisis protocols are more capable of minimizing reputational harm. This underscores the need for media companies to modernize their crisis response systems, invest in crisis communication training for journalists, and embed digital tools into their corporate communication strategies. Beyond its practical implications, this study contributes to the broader field of strategic communication in an era marked by digital complexity and global interconnectedness.
