Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relevance and influence of Dutch colonialism and it’s relevant to the development of orientalism in Indonesia. By using the ideas of the theory of orientalism that was promoted by Edward Said, this research will attempt to explore how Dutch colonialism has influenced and shaped cultural patterns with a shifting of paradigm and had the impact of changing identity in Indonesia for a long time. Through a qualitative approach, this research seeks to analyze Dutch colonial impact and legacies and tries to reveal the strategies by which these Orientalist though are still indirectly practiced today. This research provides an illustration that orientalism and colonialism are two interrelated interests and have had quite a dominant influence in the history of these two organizations in Indonesia. Colonialism became the initial basis for the orientalism movement to develop, because with its presence, orientalism could freely carry out several goals and orientations of its movement, which included Christianization and westernization.

Abstract

The Living Hadîts interprets hadîts through the cultural and social practices alive in Indonesian society. This method offers contextual sensitivity and involves hermeneutical, anthropological, and phenomenological frameworks. However, this approach also raises epistemological and methodological concerns—particularly regarding the integrity of isnâd-matn authentication, the potential weakening of textual authority, and the risk of cultural syncretism inconsistent with Syarî‘ah. This study, using historical genealogical analysis and a literature review, evaluates whether the Living hadîts contributes to a valid understanding of the sunnah or deviates from the principles of hadîts science established by scholars. Therefore, the authors will examine how this approach is used and the challenges that arise when it is applied to the study of hadîts in Indonesia. It found that the Living Hadîts method fosters multiculturalism because the hadîts applied within society is influenced by the community’s diverse social and cultural contexts. As a result, the hadîts no longer refers to the application found in authoritative sources, such as the views of the Prophet’s companions or the statements of ‘ulamâ’ with authority in understanding hadîts. However, this study recommends integrating textual verification and methodological reflexivity into Hadith pedagogy in societal life to balance social relevance with normative Islamic scholarship.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Implementasi Kegiatan Jum’at Taklim dalam meningkatkan Kesalehan sosial Siswa di SD Triyana. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Bagaimana Pelaksanaan kegiatan Jumat Taklim di SD Triyana? 2) Bagaimana upaya dan kendala yang dihadapi dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan jumat taklim di SD Triyana? 3) Bagaimana pelaksanaan kegiatan Jumat Taklim dapat meningkatkan kesolehan sosial siswa?. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode jenis penelitian Kualitatif dengan sifat deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini melalui tiga komponen yaitu reduksi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini dapat dideskripsikan bahwa Jum’at Taklim memberikan kontribusi terhadap peningkatan kesalehan sosial pada Siswa nya, kontribusi tersebut yaitu: berperan sebagai penambahan pengetahuan agama pada Siswa nya, yaitu: Sebagai peningkat pengetahuan keagamaan seperti shalat, mengaji, puasa, dan lainnya. Meningkatkan keterampilan anak, seperti, aktif sholat berjamaah di Mesjid, menjadi MC, penceramah, membaca hafalan doa-doa harian, membaca juz amma, ada juga yang membaca Alquran. Sebagai tempat pendidikan seumur hidup berbasis masyarakat. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan 5.0, MIS Hidayatussalam, Anak Usia Dasar, Outing Class, Market Day, Pengembangan Diri.

Abstract

Hermeneutics is a classic theme that remains relevant in Islamic scholarly discourse, particularly in the debate over its use in interpreting the Qur'an. There are three main views among Muslim scholars and ulama: those who reject it completely, those who accept it completely, and those who accept it with certain limitations. This debate is rooted in the origins of hermeneutics, a discipline developed by Western scholars to interpret biblical texts that raise issues of authority and authenticity. This study aims to explore the hermeneutic approach from a historical perspective through a literature study and thematic analysis, employing steps of comparison, contrast, and criticism. The results show that, from the perspective of Qur'anic interpretation, hermeneutics is viewed as a Western product originating from the Christian theological tradition and developed within a modern philosophical framework emphasizing the historicity and relativity of textual meaning. Therefore, this approach is not entirely in line with the principles of Islamic interpretation emphasizing the sanctity, absolute authority, and authenticity of divine revelation. Furthermore, hermeneutics is also considered contrary to the methodology of Ulumul Qur'an, which has clear procedures and hierarchies of interpretation based on Islamic sources. This study confirms the relevance of historical criticism of Qur'anic hermeneutics as a scholarly effort to restore Qur'anic interpretation to an authentic Islamic epistemological framework. Thus, this study makes a new contribution to strengthening the methodology of interpretation based on the principles of the sacredness of revelation, the integrity of divine meaning, and the scientific discipline of Ulumul Qur'an, originating from the Islamic tradition itself.
