Abstract

Abstract

One-Stop Integrated Services (PTSP) in higher education institutions is an effort to improve the efficiency and quality of academic and administrative services. However, the implementation of PTSP management still faces various challenges, such as procedural inefficiencies, lack of supervision, and suboptimal service to users. This study aims to analyze the implementation of PTSP management based on the classic POAC management functions (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Supervision) and its impact on service quality in higher education institutions. The research method used is quantitative descriptive and verification, with a survey approach through questionnaires to 2 PTSP employees and 20 students as service users. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression to test the influence of management variables on service quality. The novelty of this study lies in the combination of the POAC model with the SERVQUAL dimension in the context of PTSP in higher education environments, which has not been widely studied before. Previous studies generally only discuss the implementation of PTSP in the government sector or have not emphasized the direct relationship between managerial functions and perceptions of service quality.

Abstract

Engine room watchkeeping requires continuous monitoring and rapid decision-making to ensure machinery reliability and ship safety. Conventional watchkeeping practices depend heavily on officers' experience and manual interpretation of machinery parameters, leading to delayed responses and increased risk of machinery failure. This study proposes an Artificial Intelligence-Based Decision Support System (AI-DSS) for engine room watchkeeping using real-time machinery parameters. The system integrates machine learning algorithms with operational data, including lubricating oil temperature, cooling water temperature, exhaust gas temperature, fuel consumption, and vibration signals. Data were collected from a marine engine simulator and ship operational records. Random Forest and Artificial Neural Network models were employed to predict machinery abnormalities and generate early warnings. The results indicate that the proposed system achieved a prediction accuracy of 94.6%, significantly improving anomaly detection compared to conventional monitoring methods. Furthermore, the developed Engine Room Watchkeeping Index (ERWI) provides a quantitative assessment of machinery conditions during watchkeeping operations. The proposed model can support marine engineers in making timely and accurate decisions, thereby improving operational safety and machinery reliability.

Abstract

Akademi Maritim Belawan hendriindra806@gmail.com ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the effect of work-life balance and work flexibility on the performance of millennial employees. Millennials represent a dominant segment of the workforce and demonstrate unique characteristics, including a strong preference for flexibility and balance between personal and professional life. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected from 120 millennial employees working in private and public organizations. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses. The results show that work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while work flexibility also has a positive and significant influence on performance. Simultaneously, work-life balance and work flexibility significantly affect the performance of millennial employees. These findings highlight the importance of adaptive human resource management practices in improving organizational performance through enhanced employee well-being.
