Abstract

ABSTRACT The objectives of this research are to find out the number of Dayak onion production at various ages of harvest by providing NPK fertilizer 16.16.16. and to find out the content of Flavonoids at various ages with NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer application. The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Islamic University of Riau for 6 months, starting from March to August 2018. The completely randomized design with factorial 3 x 4 was used. Data were analyzed descriptive approach. The parameters observed were the number of clump tubers, per clump dry weight, Simplicia dry weight, flavonoid content, phenolic content, and antioxidant activity. The results showed that the interaction of NPK 16:16: 16 dosages and harvesting age had no effect on the all observed parameters. The best treatment of NPK 16:16:16 2,5 g/plant (N3) for optimum production and 1,25 g/plant (N1) for maximum total flavonoid content. With the best treatment of NPK 16:16:16 2.5 g/plant (N3) for maximum production and 1.25 g/plant (N1) for maximum total flavonoid content. For optimal age and 5 (months) for maximum total flavonoid content.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh interaksi maupun pengaruh utama sludge kelapa sawit dan pupuk NPK organik terhadap produksi serta kandungan minyak atsiri tanaman jahe merah. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Islam Riau, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution KM 11, Kota Pekanbaru. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 5 bulan dari bulan November 2020 - Maret 2021. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh interaksi sludge kelapa sawit dan Pupuk NPK organik terhadap produksi serta kandungan minyak atsiri Jahe Merah. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 2 Faktor. Faktor pertama adalah Dosis Sludge Kelapa Sawit (S) terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu: 0, 90, 180 dan 270 g/tanaman, sedangkan faktor kedua adalah berbagai dosis pupuk NPK (N) yang terdiri 4 taraf yaitu 0, 1,8, 3,6 dan 5,4 g/tanaman. Terdapat 16 kombinasi perlakuan dengan 3 kali ulangan, maka terdapat 48 satuan percobaan. Tiap satuan unit terdiri dari 6 tanaman, dan 2 diantaranya dijadikan tanaman sampel, sehingga jumlah keseluruhan sebanyak 288 tanaman. Parameter pengamatan yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan per rumpun, berat rimpang basah per rumpun, berat rimpang kering per rumpun, indeks panen, rendemen minyak atsiri dan penentuan kualitas minyak atsiri. Hasil pengamatan dari masing-masing perlakuan dianalisis secara statistik. Jika F hitung lebih besar dari F tabel, maka dilanjutkan dengan Uji Lanjut Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa pengaruh interaksi sludge kelapa sawit dan NPK Organik nyata terhadap semua parameter pertumbuhan dan hasil. Perlakuan terbaik dosis sludge kelapa sawit 270 g/tanaman dan NPK Organik 5,4 g/tanaman. Pengaruh utama sludge kelapa sawit nyata terhadap semua parameter pengamatan. Perlakuan terbaik dosis 270 g/tanaman. Pengaruh utama NPK Organik nyata terhadap semua parameter pengamatan. Perlakuan terbaik dosis NPK Organik 5,4 g/tanaman. Kualitas minyak astsiri lebih baik pada perlakuan kontrol dibandingkan dengan pemberian sludge 270 g/plot dan NPK Organik 5,4 g/tanaman.

Abstract

Teluk Makmur Village, Medang Kampai District, Dumai City, is one of the peatland pineapple production centers with considerable potential to be developed into value-added processed products. However, pineapple processing by community business groups is still carried out manually using simple household equipment, resulting in low production efficiency and inconsistent product quality. This community service activity aimed to improve the technology readiness of peatland pineapple jam processing at the Puak Milenial Business Group in Dumai City by applying appropriate technology. The methods included identifying initial production conditions, implementing appropriate technologies such as pineapple peeling knives, pineapple grating machines, and stainless-steel jam stirrer machines, and providing technical assistance during the production process. The evaluation used a descriptive-comparative approach, comparing the production system before and after technological intervention. The results showed that the application of appropriate technology improved operational readiness of production by shifting the production system from a manual to a more structured, semi-standardized system at the household industry scale. In addition to improving production efficiency, the use of more hygienic equipment also supported better food production practices. This activity indicates that the application of appropriate technology can be an effective strategy to strengthen the technical capacity of local potential-based MSMEs.
