Abstract

Volcanic eruptions are natural events that have the potential for significant damage to humans and the environment. Identifying the type of volcano earthquake is key in disaster risk mitigation by providing information on the process and the location of magma activity beneath the volcano. In this research, we propose an approach using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to identify types of volcanic earthquakes based on seismic recording data. Identification begins by reducing feature dimensions using Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The PCA results were then clustered and then evaluated Silhoutte Score, ARI, CH-Indeks, DB-Indeks. Experiments were carried out using recorded data totaling 329 samples. For each recording, feature extraction was carried out in the form of statistical features, entropy features and shape features with a total of 16 features in the time and frequency domains. PCA results on the two main components PC1 explained 49.2741% and PC2 24.5507% of the data variance and evaluation results using Silhouette Score were equal to 0.53, ARI 0.8, CH-Index 529.34, and DB- Index 0.6

Abstract

The advent of the Industrial Revolution 5.0 has had a profound impact on the global landscape, including Indonesia. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a significant role in the national economy, but a considerable number of them have yet to leverage e-marketplaces and social media as marketing tools. This has resulted in a digital chasm between MSMEs and larger corporations. Thus, it is imperative to provide adequate assistance and training to MSMEs to enable them to harness digital technology and enhance their competitiveness in the e-commerce market. The Participatory Action Research (PAR) method is employed, which involves training, account creation practice, and mentoring for MSMEs. The training is conducted in three phases, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. As a result of community service activities, MSMEs need to innovate their products and employ digital marketing strategies through platforms such as marketplaces and social media. Diligent preparation is essential to enable MSMEs to adapt to these changes and bridge the digital divide. Community service initiatives in Kedondong Village strive to encourage MSMEs to embrace marketing strategies through social media and e-commerce platforms as a means to increase revenue and expand businesses in the fiercely competitive digital era.

Abstract

In the 5.0 era, Islamic religious instruction in higher education is crucial as in forming students' morality and character. With a correct and deep understanding of religion, students can internalize these values in their daily lives and make good and responsible decisions. The article's aim is to give an outline of the Islamic religious teaching and learning processes in public colleges as of 5.0. A qualitative research methodology was adopted, and instructors and students were interviewed as well as observed to obtain data involved in the learning and teaching process of Islam in public universities. Then, content analysis is used to assess the acquired data utilizing qualitative data analysis techniques. The findings indicated that there is still room for improvement in the standard of Islamic religious instruction in public universities, especially in terms of subpar teaching and learning. Lack of emphasis on character education, poor teaching, and minimal use of technological in the process of learning and instruction are some of the reasons that contribute to the poor quality of Islamic religious education in public universities. Thus, character education, raising the bar of instruction, and implementing better technology in the learning and teaching process of Islam in the 5.0 era are necessary to improve the quality of Islamic religious instruction in public universities.

Abstract

The prevalence of violence against children within educational institutions, including Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), has emerged as a serious concern in the enforcement of child protection law in Indonesia. Law Number 35 of 2014 on Child Protection explicitly prohibits all forms of physical and psychological violence against children; however, its implementation in salafiyah pesantren continues to face significant challenges due to deeply rooted disciplinary traditions embodied in the practice of ta’zir. The persistent gap between positive legal norms and traditional educational practices constitutes an academic urgency that remains insufficiently explored. This study aims to describe the implementation of child protection within ta’zir practices and to analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors at Pondok Pesantren Al Fattahiyyah Tulungagung. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using George C. Edwards III’s policy implementation theory. The findings indicate that child protection implementation has not been fully optimized; ta’zir practices still include mild physical punishments that are not entirely aligned with child protection principles. In terms of communication, socialization of Law Number 35 of 2014 has not been conducted systematically. Regarding resources, training on child-friendly education remains severely limited. In terms of disposition, inconsistencies in attitude among staff were identified. Regarding bureaucratic structure, no written standard operating procedures exist. Supporting factors include leadership commitment and parental trust, while primary inhibiting factors include strong cultural traditions and limited human resource capacity. This study concludes that the pesantren remains in an adaptive stage and requires systemic strengthening in child protection implementation.

Abstract

Indonesia's agricultural sector contributes approximately 13.14% to the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP); however, farmers' welfare remains considerably low, as indicated by a Farmers' Terms of Trade (NTP) index frequently below 100. This condition prompted the enactment of Law Number 19 of 2013 on the Protection and Empowerment of Farmers as a strategic legal instrument. Despite being in force for over a decade, its implementation at the village level remains academically underexamined, particularly in rural East Java, including Bendilwungu Village, Sumbergempol District, Tulungagung Regency. The gap between the normative substance of the law and its actual field implementation constitutes the primary urgency of this study. This research aims to analyze the implementation of Law No. 19 of 2013 and identify its supporting and inhibiting factors in Bendilwungu Village. A descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach was employed. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving village officials, agricultural extension workers, and local farmers. Findings reveal that implementation remains suboptimal, characterized by limited farmer access to subsidized production inputs, weak farmer group institutional capacity, and insufficient regulation-based empowerment programs. Primary inhibiting factors include constrained regional budgets, low human resource capacity, and unsynchronized cross-sectoral coordination. This study concludes that strengthened coordination among village governments, agricultural agencies, and relevant institutions is essential to substantively and sustainably realize farmer protection and empowerment.

Abstract

The formation of Pancasila character is one of the important goals in education to create students who possess religious values, mutual cooperation, independence, critical thinking, creativity, and global diversity. The success of this character formation is influenced not only by the school environment, but also by parental support as the child's first educational environment. This study aims to describe the forms of parental support in the formation of students' Pancasila character and identify the obstacles faced by parents and the madrasah administration in supporting this process at MAS Al Fattahiyyah Tulungagung. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study approach. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research informants consisted of the Madrasah Principal, the Vice Principal for Student Affairs, teachers, guardians, and 11th-grade Social Sciences 2 students at MAS Al Fattahiyyah Tulungagung. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, which included data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was tested through triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. The results indicate that parental support in the formation of students' Pancasila character is manifested through emotional support in the form of attention, motivation, and advice; instrumental support in the form of meeting educational needs; informational support in the form of direction and guidance related to moral and religious values; and support in the form of appreciation for student effort and achievement. This support contributes to fostering religious attitudes, responsibility, discipline, mutual cooperation, and social awareness in students. Obstacles found include limited parental time due to work, less than optimal communication between parents and the madrasah, and the influence of the student's social environment. To overcome these obstacles, continuous synergy is needed between parents and the madrasah through increased communication, supervision, and character development together. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that parental support has a very important role in the formation of students' Pancasila character.

Abstract

This study analyzes the legal balance between teacher rights, as stipulated in Article 14 of Law No. 14 of 2005 on Teachers and Lecturers, and child rights, particularly the protection from violence under Article 54 of Law No. 35 of 2014 on Child Protection, within the context of SMPN 2 Kauman Tulungagung. The research employs a qualitative methodology with an intrinsic case study design, focusing on how the school manages the tension between these two legal frameworks through a positive discipline approach. The findings indicate that SMPN 2 Kauman Tulungagung has successfully formulated policies that bridge these often-conflicting legal interests. The policy-making process is participatory, involving school committees, teachers, and supervisors. These policies are formalized through a School Head's Decree on the Standard Operational Procedure for Child-Friendly Discipline Enforcement, which includes transparent student regulations. This ensures that teachers' rights to enforce discipline are recognized, but the methods used are entirely free from physical or psychological violence, aligning with Article 54Over the past four years, the school has reported no legal complaints against teachers from parents, fostering a sense of security for educators and high trust from parents. Interestingly, parental complaints about excessive academic workload became a catalyst for the school to re-evaluate student learning burdens. The positive discipline model, implemented through preventive measures like character-building routines (e.g., 5S culture) and corrective actions such as logical consequences (e.g., cleaning the school, caring for plants, writing reflective essays), has led to increased self-awareness and a sense of belonging among students. While the transition to positive discipline is ongoing, with minor physical sanctions still occasionally occurring, the school demonstrates a commitment to continuous dialogue and improvement to maintain a balanced and child-friendly educational environment
