Abstract

Sabun adalah suatu sediaan yang digunakan oleh masyarakat sebagai pembersih kulit. Berbagaijenis sabun yang beredar di pasaran dalam bentuk yang bervariasi seperti sabun cuci, sabun mandi,sabun tangan, sabun pembersih peralatan rumah tangga dalam bentuk krim, padatan ataubatangan, bubuk dan cair. Sabun cair saat ini banyak diproduksi karena penggunaannya yang lebihpraktis dan bentuk yang menarik dibanding bentuk sabun lain. SMA Takhasus Alquran merupakansalah satu sekolah umum non kejuruan yang memiliki 2 bidang ilmu yaitu IPA,IPS. Bidang ilmutersebut tentu harus dikembangkan lebih jauh mengikuti kebutuhan pasar agar para lulusan yangtidak bisa melanjutkan tingkat pendidikan tinggi dapat mendapatkan pekerjaan yang layak. selainitu, jiwa wirausaha harus lebih ditingkatkan agar dapat ikut serta membuka lapangan pekerjaanbagi masyarakat sekitar. Metode kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah dengan Pemaparan materi bahanalam dan sediaan farmasi Pelatihan pembuatan produk farmasi menggunakan bahan alam. Hasilpengabdian pada masyarakat yang telah dilaksanakan dapat disimpulkan bahwa Kegiatanpengabdian kepada masyarakat ini terlaksana sesuai dengan rencana kegiatan yang telah disusundengan diikuti oleh 14 siswa Terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepadamasyarakat ini dari yang nilai peningkatan nilai rata-rat siswa dari awal nilai prestest 47.86menjadi nilai postes 92.14.Kata Kunci : sabun cair, ekstrak daun turi, peningkatan pengetahuan.

Abstract

Foot odor is a common body odor problem. The smell of feet makes oneself and people around uncomfortable, the smell of feet can be eliminated by washing the foot using soap, using a tabun powder. However, the foot wash using soap or powder is assessed less practical. Footsanitizer Spray is a new innovation of foot odor relievers that are practical and efficient use. Stirring process will affect product quality especially particle size distribution. So in this study aims to assess the effect of speed and time stirring of physical characteristics of the preparation of the foot sanitizer spray. In this research has been done variation of speed and stirring time, variation of stirring speed is done by varying the stirring speed at 300 rpm, 500 rpm and 700 rpm. Variation in stirring time is done by varying the stirring time for 1 hour, 2 hours and 3 hours. From the results of this research can be concluded that coffee beans extract and ginger rhizome can be used as a spray footsanitizer. And the greater the speed of the mixing form of the Footsanitizer spray the more cloudy and the viscosity value and type weight is getting bigger. The longer the stirring also leads to greater viscosity and density values.

Abstract

Foot deodorizing products currently circulating include anti-bacterial soaps, foot soaking powders, anti-prespirants, creams, and foot odor powders. However, these preparations have not been sold freely in Indonesia. In terms of use, it is considered impractical, because they have to use water when used. The product is considered ineffective, so there is a need for an innovation to remove foot odor that is healthy, more practical, and effective, namely Footsanitizer Spray. However, Footsanitizer Spray preparations in the market contain 70-95% alcohol. Excessive use of alcohol and chemicals can have health effects and irritant effects on the skin. Coffee has properties that are known to get rid of bad odors. Ginger rhizome (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) has been known to have antibacterial activity because it contains phenols, flavonoids, terpenoids, and essential oils. So that the combination of coffee bean extract and ginger rhizome is taken into consideration in making Footsanitizer Spray. Footsanitizer Spray in this study was made into 3 formulas. The difference in the formula is based on the comparison of the concentration of coffee bean extract and ginger root. Formula 1 with 25%: 45% coffee bean and ginger extract. Formula 2 with a ratio of 35%: 35% coffee bean extract and ginger rhizome. Formula 3 with a ratio of 45%: 25% coffee bean extract and ginger root. Based on the results of organoleptic testing and homogeneity, all formulas have a light brown color liquid with a distinctive aromatic smell. And soft taste. All formulas also produce homogeneous preparations. The results of the specific gravity test of the three formulas have not much different density. Namely, formula 1, formula 2 and formula 3 respectively are 1.064 gr / ml, 1.065 gr / ml, and 1.062 gr / ml. while the viscosity values ​​were 1.56 cp, 1.6 cp, and 1.61 cp, respectively. Formula 2 with a concentration of 35%: 35% has better antibacterial activity than other formulas. And it is included in the moderate barrier response category.

Abstract

The corona virus which infects humans in almost all corners of the world changes new habits in human life. One of the highly recommended habits is washing your hands with soap. Turi leaves have active substances such as flavonoid compounds and saponins which can be used for making handwash. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of liquid soap (handwash) from turi leaf extract against Staphylocous aureus bacteria. This research was conducted in the microbiology laboratory of the Harapan Bersama Tegal Polytechnic. Turi leaves were extracted using the maceration method with 95% ethanol solvent, then the extract was made by hand washing soap with 3 formulas. The three formulas were then tested on S. aureus bacteria using the well diffusion method with three replications. The results of this study indicate that formula 1 has a diameter of inhibition of 13.72 ± 0.57mm, formula 2 is 16.36 ± 0.58 mm and formula 3 is 20.36 ± 1.13 mm. Thus it can be concluded that the liquid soap of formula 3 turi leaf extract is the best in inhibiting S.aureus bacteria.

Abstract

Pandan leaves have the effect of increasing the immune system so that it is necessary to develop the potential of pandan leaves as a medicinal preparation in the form of a suspension. The purpose of this study was to determine the secondary metabolites contained in pandan leaves and the best suspension formula in terms of the physical properties of the pandan leaf juice suspension (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb.). Three formulas for the suspension of Pandan leaf juice were made, the formula I used CMC suspending agent, formula II used cassava starch, formula III used CMC: cassava starch then carried out a physical test for the suspension of Pandan leaf juice including organoleptic test, pH, specific gravity, viscosity, and sedimentation. The next step is to determine the best formula in terms of the physical properties of the pandan leaf juice suspension. The secondary metabolites contained in pandan leaves through qualitative tests are flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, tannins, and terpenoids. Formula I have a pH of 7, a specific gravity of 1.043, a viscosity of 20.57, and a sedimentation volume of 0, formula II has a pH of 7, a specific gravity of 1.049, a viscosity of 10.58, and a sedimentation volume of 0.75, while formula III has a pH of 8, specific gravity 1.053, viscosity 26.27, and sedimentation volume 0.975. The best formula in terms of the physical properties of the pandan leaf juice suspension (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb.) Is formula I with Carboxy Methyl Cellulose (CMC) as a suspending agent.

Abstract

Introduction: Temulawak contains curcuminoid compounds. Apart from curcuminoids, Temulawak also contains volatile substances suc as isofuranogermakren, tricycline, alloaromadendren, germakren, and zanthorriza. Active components that are very effective as antioxidants in ginger rhizomes include curcumin, demotoksicurmin, and bisdemotoksicurcumin. Curcumin is a natural chemical compound that can be used for natural coloring. Objective: This research aims to find out whether ginger extract can be a safe and good natural coloring ingredient in eye shadow preparations that is in accordance with the physical properties test. Method: This research applies a total sampling method. The method used is the ginger juice extract method which is obtained directly or can be called an experiment. Conclusion: Curcuma extract can be used as a safe and effective natural coloring for eye shadow preparations, according to the results of physical properties tests which include organoleptic tests, pH tests, homogeneity tests,irritation tests, and liking tests.
