Abstract

Aplikasi e-voting digunakan untuk pemilihan Badan Ekskutif Mahasiswa (BEM), dimana untuk proses verfikasi pemilih digunakan pengenalan citra karakter angka yang terdapat pada Kartu Tanda Mahasiswa (KTM). Pengenalan karakter ini menggunakan teknik Optical Character Recognition (OCR). Pada proses voting untuk login ke dalam aplikasi dilakukan pengenalan nomor induk mahasiswa yang tertera pada KTM menggunakan OCR. Nomor induk tersebut akan dicocokan dengan database mahasiswa untuk menentukan apakah memiliki hak pilih untuk selanjutnya memberikan hak pilihnya. Aplikasi e-voting ini dibangun berbasis mobile dan dilengkapi dengan informasi quick qount. Adanya aplikasi ini dapat memudahkan pemilih dalam memberikan suara tanpa harus mendatangi tempat pemungutan suara dan membantu panitia untuk mendapatkan data hasil pemilihan secara cepat dan akurat.

Abstract

The development of technology and easy access to the internet has affected reading habits, with digital novel platforms becoming popular as an alternative to reading. However, novelists face obstacles in publishing their works, due to fierce competition in the publishing industry. The proposed solution is to build a multiplatform application system as a platform for novelists to publish their works using the Laravel API. The development method used is Waterfall, which consists of five stages of development. This application will provide features that facilitate interaction between novelists and readers, such as likes, comments, and uniquely there is a feature to listen to novels via voice for users who prefer to listen rather than read, with a text-to-speech system. In addition, the app allows novelists to build a stronger fan base. This research aims to provide a practical and efficient platform for novelists to write, edit and publish their works online through the features provided in the application. System testing was carried out using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method to get a score of 79.5 including the Good category with grade scale B. The programming language used in the development of this application is Flutter, which allows the creation of multiplatform applications with responsive and consistent performance on various devices.

Abstract

Brain tumors pose significant challenges in the medical domain, necessitating advanced diagnostic techniques for early and accurate detection. This research paper presents a comprehensive study on the application of the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) algorithm to a dataset comprising brain tumor images. The methodology involved segmenting the images using the Canny method, extracting relevant features via Hu Moments, and subsequently employing the KNN algorithm for classification. Using a 5-fold cross-validation, the system consistently achieved an average accuracy of approximately 62%. These findings highlight the potential of traditional machine learning algorithms in medical imaging, providing valuable insights for both researchers and practitioners. While the results are promising, the study also underscores the importance of integrating such algorithms with other diagnostic methods for optimal results

Abstract

The selection of campus ambassadors at Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis is one of the activities carried out annually. The selection of campus ambassadors aims to prepare the best students to become student representatives in internal and external campus activities. The campus ambassador assessment process is carried out in three stages, namely pre-quarantine, quarantine and grand final. A websitebased Decision Support System for campus ambassador finalist candidates is needed to help the committee and judges in the finalist selection process to be faster and more accurate. This system uses the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method which has weights on each criterion. The result of applying the SAW method to the system is to display rankings that can help in determining the campus ambassador finalist champion. From 31 field data, the application of the SAW method on this system has an accuracy of 96,6%. The software development method used is the Rational Unified Process (RUP).

Abstract

This research aims to develop an application for recommending safe and suitable skincare products for pregnant women. The application is built using the prototype method and implemented with the Python programming language using the Flask framework. The study encompasses product categories from Drw Skincare, including serums, toners, shampoos, body care products, facial washes, and creams. The system provides options for users to select categories of skincare ingredients they desire. The application issues warnings about skincare ingredients that should be avoided during pregnancy, such as retinol and specific acids. The end result is a list of recommended skincare products containing ingredients that align with the user's selected criteria. Each product is accompanied by comprehensive information about its ingredients and advice. Users can utilize search and advanced filtering features to find skincare products based on product types and brands. The application offers clear user guidance and an intuitive interface, enabling users to navigate and use the application comfortably. It is expected that this application can assist pregnant women in choosing safe and effective skincare products while providing a better understanding of skincare during pregnancy.

Abstract

This research presents the development of a Decision Support System aimed at assisting in the enhancement of palm oil production using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The rapid growth in the palm oil industry necessitates a scientific approach to selecting seedlings with optimal growth potential and yield. In this context, the application of artificial intelligence-based technology, such as decision support systems, is essential in the process of selecting superior palm oil seedlings. The objective of this study is to model the criteria for selecting the most superior palm oil seedlings using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method by comparing three criteria: leaflet shape, seedling root shape, and prospective trunk size. The result of this process is a decision support system that displays the value range of each palm oil seedling variety, thus facilitating farmers in choosing the most superior seedlings.

Abstract

Tahun 20221 Pemerintah Kabupaten Bengkalis meluncurkan program bantuan keuangan bersifat khusus BKK untuk pemerintah desa. Proses pengusulan bantuan tersebut dilakukan dengan menggunakan aplikasi SIDESA. Sebanyak 136 desa sudah menggunakan aplikasi tersebut mulai dari proses pengusulan sampai pelaporan penggunaan dana. Ditahun 2023 program tersebut berlanjut dan Dinas PMD sebagai pelaksana pendanaan mengeluarkan juknis baru tahun 2022 bagi pengusul. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan update aplikasi untuk mendukung aturan yang terdapat pada juknis. Selain itu Dinas PMD juga melakukan evaluasi terkait penggunaan aplikasi dan fitur, dan disimpulkan perlu dilakukannya optimalisasi pada proses pengusulan dan pelaporan diantaranya usulan kegiatan wajib yang secara otomatis harus di usulkan oleh pengusul, laporan realisasi yang tidak hanya dalam bentuk file akan tetapi juga dalam bentuk isi yang dapat direkap total serapan anggran dan akses laporan yang bisa dilihat oleh masyarakat. Perbaikan pada aplikasi ini. Sudah dilakukan dan mendapat respon positif dari mitra yaitu Dinas PMD dan Pemerintah Desa, kegiatan ini mendukung proses transformasi digital pemerintah dalam layanan dan keuangan

Abstract

This research produces a monitoring system to determine the position of the ship using the Kalman Filter method in web-based system development using the waterfall development method. This system allows users to view the position and coordinates of the ship in real-time. By applying the Kalman Filter method, uncertainty and noise in measuring the position of the ship can be reduced, thereby increasing the accuracy in determining the actual position of the ship. The system development process is carried out using the waterfall method which consists of requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The developed web-based system provides more accurate and reliable information to users, with the ability to view the position and coordinates of the ship in real time. This research contributes to the development of a more effective ship position monitoring system that can be used in various purposes such as navigation, surveillance, and ship monitoring.
