Abstract

This research aims to describe teachers' strategies for learning the Al-Qur'an online which began during the Covid-19 Pandemic for MI students in Lamongan, the obstacles they faced and their solutions, as well as analyzing the level of reading and writing skills of MI students in Lamongan. This research is descriptive qualitative field research. The research object is MIS in Lamongan, namely 5% of 240 MIS in 11 sub-districts in Lamongan, namely 12 MIS. The data collection technique uses interviews and documentation. The data analysis uses the Matthew B. Milles & Hubberman model which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research are, first, an online Al Qur'an learning strategy. At the preparation stage, the teacher prepares lesson plans with adjustments to material, time allocation, methods and media. At the implementation stage, some MIS are implemented fully online via social media, WhatsApp, Zoom, Google Meet and others. Second, obstacles to implementing learning include preparation obstacles, obstacles to Al-Quran learning methods, technical problems and facilities. Third, the competency and ability of the Al-Quran of MI students in Lamongan has decreased. If with offline learning the achievement of learning objectives can reach 80-95% of the target, then with online learning, the average achievement is below 80%.

Abstract

One indicator to measure the success of training activities can be seen from the participant's responses to the implementation of the training. This response can be obtained through self-reflection from participants at the end of the training or workshop. This research aims to determine the response of madrasah ibtidaiyah teachers to the implementation of the AKMI Follow-up Workshop organized by the Directorate General of Islamic Education, Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia through self-reflection activities scheduled in the last session of this activity. The workshop activity itself is a continuation of the implementation of the Asesmen Kompetensi Madrasah Indonesia (AKMI) for class V madrasah ibtidaiyah students that aims to equip teachers in madrasas to read the meaning of AKMI results for further follow-up by these teachers. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a questionnaire method with open questions. The results of the questionnaire showed that the majority of madrasah ibtidaiyah teachers who took part in the AKMI Follow-up Workshop responded positively to the implementation of the workshop. Things that MI teachers thought were new to them in this workshop were related to the four literacies material in AKMI, learning innovations, integrating the four literacies in AKMI in learning, and how to prepare scenarios for this integration. Some things that are considered not yet mastered by teachers are linking the four literacies into learning, understanding the competency achievements (CK) of each literacy, and arranging them in a learning scenario. To overcome this, teachers are committed to continuing to learn and deepen the workshop materials that are available on the LMS.

Abstract

Effective communication in the learning process is essential to improve material understanding and student engagement. To improve these skills, teachers try to learn through the LOK-R (Literacy, Orientation, Collaboration, and Reflection) method. This study aims to determine the application of the LOK-R method in SMP Negeri 1 Modo in PAI subjects. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The subject of the study was a grade VII student at SMP Negeri 1 Modo, who was chosen purposively. Data collection is carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The data obtained were analyzed by thematic analysis techniques to identify patterns and themes related to student learning communication. The results of the study show that the application of the LOK-R learning method includes processes such as literacy, orientation, collaboration and also reflection. The impact of the application of the LOK-R method is effective in improving students' communication skills. There was an increase in students' active participation in class discussions and presentations. Students are more confident in expressing opinions and are able to communicate better. In addition, through reflection, students can identify their weaknesses and strengths in communicating, as well as make continuous improvements.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of audiovisual media usage on students' learning interest in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMP Simanjaya, particularly among eighth-grade students in the academic year 2024/2025. The learning process in schools demands effective teaching approaches that can increase motivation and student involvement. Audiovisual media, integrating sound and visual elements, are predicted to improve students' attention, enjoyment, and engagement in learning activities. This quantitative study uses questionnaires, observations, and documentation to gather data. A total of 30 students participated as the research population. Data analysis includes descriptive statistics and inferential analysis, including validity tests, reliability, normality, linearity, and simple regression analysis. The results indicate that audiovisual media were used frequently by teachers, reaching 80% in frequency percentage within a week. Students’ learning interest also reached 70% in frequency percentage. Regression analysis shows that audiovisual media have a moderate influence on learning interest, with a determination value of 0.188. These findings demonstrate that audiovisual media significantly contribute to improving students' learning interest in PAI learning.
