Natuna Regency is a maritime region with great potential in fishery commodities. This potential is not yet supported by adequate fish market facilities in terms of cleanliness, comfort, and building technical standards. The Natuna Regency Fish Market is still semi-permanent, with minimal sanitation facilities, inadequate waste management systems, disorganized circulation, and limited parking space, causing fish trading activities to not run optimally. Natuna's strategic location has tourism potential, encouraging the need for the design of a fish market that not only serves as a trading center but also as a public space and tourist destination. The design of a Modern Fish Market in Natuna Regency aims to provide a good, comfortable, and clean fish trading center while also supporting tourism in Natuna Regency. The design method used is a five-stage design process that includes initiation, preparation, proposal submission, evaluation, and action. The main concept, “Marine Experience Destination,” is adopted by combining commercial and recreational functions. The design of a Modern Fish Market in Natuna Regency is expected to produce a market design that improves the quality of fishery product distribution and marketing, supports the development of local potential, and becomes a new icon contributing to the economy and tourism in Natuna Regency.
