Abstract

Regenerative tourism addresses the limits of growth-led models, but literature remains fragmented in explaining how destination transitions are conceptualized, governed, implemented, and evaluated in practice. This study systematically reviews how destination stewardship is understood and operationalized within regenerative tourism transitions, focusing on five related questions concerning conceptualization, governance mechanisms and stakeholder arrangements, implementation pathways, measurable outcomes and indicators, and practical destination application. A Scopus-based systematic literature review of English- language, journal articles published between 2016 and 2026 was conducted, and 18 studies were included following PRISMA-based screening and eligibility assessment. The findings show that destination stewardship is emerging less as a settled concept than as a place-based, multi-actor, and restorative governance orientation. Governance is the primary operational mechanism through which regenerative transition is pursued, implementation pathways are adaptive, staged, and context-sensitive, and measurable outcomes remain the weakest part of the evidence base. Practical application is most consistently expressed through five principles: reframing destination purpose beyond growth, building governance capacity, implementing adaptively, tailoring strategy to place, and monitoring beyond conventional tourism metrics. The review contributes a review-derived analytical framework and highlights the need for clearer conceptual boundaries, stronger comparative research, and more robust destination-level regenerative indicators.

Abstract

Employees in the oil and gas industry face unique occupational stressors that increase their vulnerability to burnout, including long working hours, hazardous conditions, and operational uncertainty. This study synthesizes empirical evidence on coping mechanisms used by oil and gas workers to manage burnout at individual, social, and organizational levels. Using a systematic literature review based on the PRISMA 2020 protocol, this review examined Scopus-indexed peer-reviewed articles published between 2007 and 2025 through Boolean search strategies and keywords related to burnout, coping, and the oil and gas workforce. Following a staged screening process, seven articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal five main domains of coping strategies among oil and gas workers: problem-focused coping, emotion-focused coping, social support-based coping, resilience-oriented coping, and organizational coping. These findings indicate that burnout management depends not only on individual capacity but also on social support, work design, and organizational policies. This article develops an integrated model of burnout coping management for oil and gas workers that links individual psychological resilience with organizational interventions to enhance well-being, occupational safety, and workforce sustainability in high-risk work environments.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the impact of the quarter-life crisis on turnover intention in the digital era, as well as to identify strategies for reducing turnover intention caused by the quarter-life crisis. The population of this research consisted of young adults holding strategic positions in companies in Denpasar City. A qualitative research method with in-depth interviews with 10 informants was used to explore the effects of the quarter-life crisis on turnover intention in the digital era occurring in Denpasar City. The results of the study showed that young adults viewed self-branding behavior on social media as a positive thing as long as it was not overdone. The desire to resign from a company was more likely to arise when individuals felt they were unsuccessful in leading a team, did not align with the company’s leadership, or faced excessive work pressure in terms of workload and working hours. The effects of feeling pressured or other factors within the quarter-life crisis dimensions that drive young adults to want to leave the company must immediately be addressed to find solutions to mitigate them.

Abstract

The MSMEs sector plays a vital role in economic development of small island like Bali, significantly contributes to Regional Original Income (PAD), and provides employment opportunities across various sectors. With Bali’s rural and natural richness, MSME sector of handicrafts and tourism-related products, has great growth potential, both domestic and global markets. Denpasar Customs is here to support the economic growth of MSMEs by providing KITE IKM facilities. The main objective of the KITE IKM facilities are to provide easy procedures and fiscal incentives to trigger increased production of export goods and business expansion to global markets. This study examined the impact of the KITE IKM facilities by MSMEs in Bali especially in its influence on export value, investment value and labor absorption. With such a huge profit potential, there are still a small number of SMEs who have never used it and there are also SMEs who have stopped using the facilities. The study found both internal and external problems included not sharing enough knowledge, governance struggle, and stakeholders not working together. The findings highlighted the need for improved communication, education, and policy adjustments to enhance MSMEs participation in export activities, ensuring the maximization of fiscal incentives. By addressing these barriers, this study aimed to provide insights into policy formulation that will support sustainable MSME growth, stimulate exports, and promote economic empowerment in Bali. The research aims to contribute to enhancing the efficiency of government policies and supporting MSMEs in achieving their maximum economic potential.

Abstract

This study examines the dissemination of policy information through QR Code Do's and Don'ts to foreign tourists in Badung Regency, Bali. The main issue is the high rate of rule violations by foreign tourists despite the policy’s implementation to control behavior during visits. The study aims to analyze the effectiveness of QR Codes as a public communication medium for conveying rules and to evaluate tourists’ responses to this information. Using a qualitative case study approach, primary data were collected through in-depth interviews with immigration officials, tourism agencies, public communication experts, and foreign tourists. Analysis was guided by Harold Lasswell’s Public Communication Strategy theory to understand the communication dynamics between the government as sender and tourists as recipients. Findings indicate that although the QR Code policy is implemented in multiple languages and supported by digital flyers and social media, the information delivery is ineffective in reaching all target audiences. Many tourists are either unaware of or do not scan the QR Codes due to unclear directions and inconsistent communication strategies. The study concludes that a re-evaluation is necessary, involving various stakeholders and combining conventional and digital media. This integrated approach can ensure the message is delivered comprehensively, improving tourists’ awareness and compliance with Bali’s rules.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital banking is accompanied by an increasing focus on sustainability and customer-driven innovation. Green marketing communications and customer experience are considered important in influencing perceptions and adoption, yet their relationship remains largely unexplored. This study aims to investigate the contribution of sustainable marketing communications and customer experience to digital banking adoption. The method used was a systematic literature review with a qualitative approach. Data were collected from peer-reviewed articles in Scopus between 2020 and 2025 through a keyword strategy and multi-stage filtering, resulting in 10 relevant articles. Analysis was conducted through a thematic synthesis and bibliometric mapping approach. The results show that green communications increase trust and ethical perceptions, while customer experience strengthens satisfaction, usability, and loyalty. Both interact to create a synergistic effect in accelerating adoption. Consequently, integrating sustainable communications with optimal customer experience is key to digital banking strategies in the sustainability era. Future research should expand the scope of bibliometric indicators and incorporate a longitudinal perspective to capture the evolving dynamics of adoption.

Abstract

The increasing volume of plastic waste has intensified environmental challenges globally, particularly in Indonesia, the second-largest contributor to marine plastic pollution. This study aims to analyze the implementation of circular economy principles in a multinational company committed to environmental sustainability, focusing on plastic waste management. A qualitative descriptive case study approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews with sustainability managers, waste bank coordinators, MSMEs, and Environmental Agency officials, complemented by secondary sources including the 2024 Sustainability Report. Findings indicate that Unilever operationalizes circular economy through three key strategies: reduce, reuse, and recycle. The reduce strategy involves eco-friendly packaging innovations; the reuse strategy is implemented via the u-refill station program, promoting refill-based consumption; and the recycle strategy leverages a network of over 4,000 waste banks and advanced recycling technologies like CreaSolv®, managing over 90,000 tons of plastic by 2024. Successful implementation is influenced by economic, technological, social, regulatory, and collaborative factors, while challenges include infrastructure limitations, fluctuating recycled plastic prices, and low public awareness. The study highlights that circular economy is both a technical and social process, requiring multi-stakeholder engagement and systemic policy support to achieve sustainable circularity at scale.

Abstract

Team fragmentation in multitasking organizations challenges coordination and communication. This study aims to analyze leadership strategies for addressing team fragmentation in multitasking organizations in Indonesia, particularly in the logistics, manufacturing, and medical technology sectors. This study employed a qualitative multiple-case study using interviews, observations, and documentation to examine adaptive leadership, distributed leadership, and organizational development practices. The results indicate that adaptive leadership plays a crucial role in creating a sense of psychological safety, communicating change clearly, maintaining emotional stability, and strengthening team connectedness. Role distribution patterns in multitasking teams are flexible, collective, and contextual, according to the sector’s characteristics. In logistics, role distribution is supported by cross-functional coordination, formal documentation, shared Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and regular meetings. Manufacturing relies on cross-unit collaboration, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), briefings, and target monitoring, while medical technology adopts project-based collaboration across specialties supported by training, project reviews, and feedback mechanisms. Organizational development principles are applied through development interventions, organizational evaluations, changes in intentions, and improvements to coordination mechanisms. This study extends Adaptive Leadership Theory by demonstrating that adaptive leadership and distributed leadership operate as complementary mechanisms rather than independent leadership approaches in fragmented multitasking organizations.

Abstract

Social entrepreneurship has emerged as an innovative approach to addressing complex social problems while generating sustainable social value. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the key success factors of social entrepreneurship by synthesizing existing evidence on social entrepreneurs’ motivation, traits, and challenges. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted following a structured process of identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and qualitative synthesis. Relevant articles were retrieved from ScienceDirect, Emerald Insight, Taylor & Francis, and Google Scholar through the Publish or Perish application. Of the 669 articles initially identified, 45 met the inclusion criteria and were included in the final analysis. The findings revealed three major themes influencing social entrepreneurship success: social entrepreneurs’ motivation, social entrepreneurs’ traits, and social entrepreneurs’ challenges. Self-efficacy and empathy emerged as the dominant motivational factors, whereas agreeableness, extraversion, and openness to experience represented the most influential entrepreneurial traits. Meanwhile, financial constraints, limited human resources, inadequate institutional support, and technological adaptation constituted the primary challenges. These findings suggest that the success of social entrepreneurship depends on the interaction between entrepreneurs’ internal capabilities and supportive external ecosystems, emphasizing the importance of simultaneously strengthening individual competencies and institutional support.
