Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate how the Purdue learning model can be implemented in accelerated classes to enhance students' high-level mathematical thinking skills. The method used in this study is called Classroom Action Research (PTK). This study only included students enrolled in accelerated classes as subjects. In this study, 100 people made up the sample. Field notes, interviews, observations, and diaries were all forms of qualitative data. A checkpoint is used to express quantitative data at the conclusion of each cycle. According to a combined data analysis, during the study period using the Purdue model, students' classroom activities improved in speed. This increase in activity involves verbal, written, visual, motor, cerebral, and emotional activities as well as writing, drawing, and writing. Mental and emotional activities are the most crucial kind of activity. Conversely, speaking and sketching exercises are given less emphasis. Students in accelerated classes generally report that they gain from Purdue's methodology of increased learning. The majority of students claimed that because they like studying in groups and found it challenging to finish the assignments provided at each meeting, studying under the Purdue model was more pleasurable. Nevertheless, several students responded negatively, stating that they did not understand the questions or the learning approach and that they wanted the researcher to clarify things immediately.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine if teacher professional competence may be increased via education and training. A random lottery was employed to choose a sample of 100 instructors for this study. Data analysis and data visualization are provided through summaries and formulations in numerical form since descriptive statistical methods were used to process the data collected through surveys and document studies. Validity and reliability testing may be used to assess the requirements for the study, and basic linear regression analysis techniques can be used to evaluate the data and generate hypothesis judgments. A correlation value of 0.6 was found based on data processing with the SPSS, and the contribution of variable H0 is rejected as the sig value is less than 0.03, as determined using probability procedures. Thus, it can be inferred from these two approaches that training and education have an impact on raising the professional competence of teachers

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of magic study box media in increasing students' conceptual understanding in learning science for class V at MIN 4 Bone. The method used in this research is quantitative research with the design used is the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. In this study, the samples were all students of class V MIN 4 Bone, totaling 17 people. The instrument used in this study was a concept comprehension test in the form of an essay. Then data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistical analysis through the Statistical Package Social Science (SPSS) Version 22 program. The data obtained by the study were analyzed using the SPSS Statistical Version 22 application, in order to be able to find out the results of the calculation of the pretest-posttest descriptive statistical values, hypothesis testing. This research was conducted in class V MIN 4 Bone with 17 students. The results of the study after using the treatment using the magic study box media, showed that the values obtained by students in class V MIN 4 Bone at the time of the posttest increased with an average of 77.35, as well as with the value of each indicator of student understanding of the concept experienced an increase and can be seen from the t-test on pretest and posttest scores, it can be seen that if the value (significance) 2-tailed is 0.000 0.05 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that the media magic study box is effective in increasing students' understanding of the concepts of class V in MIN 4 Bone, because the significance value obtained is 0.000.

Abstract

Antioxidants play a role in preventing and repairing damage to human cells. Searches for antioxidant sources continue to be carried out including in P. subpeltatum plants. This study aims to compare the antioxidant activity of the bark, wood, and leaves of P. subpeltatum C.B. Rob plants. The materials were dried and then shaved to a fineness level of 80 mesh. Materials were extracted using the maceration method with ethanol solvent. The macerate was filtered and the filtrate obtained was concentrated with an evaporator. The three extracts were tested for antioxidants using the DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) Free radical scavengers method, ascorbic acid was used as a comparison. Absorbances was measured using UV-Vis spectroscopy. Each material was made in 5 concentrations. The IC50 value was calculated using the Blois regression equation. The results of the antioxidant test were obtained consecutively: stem wood with an IC50 value = 3.39 μg/mL, stem bark = 5.15 μg/mL, and leaf = 258.58 μg/mL, the IC50 value of ascorbic acid was 2.79 μg/mL. Based on these data, it shows that the antioxidant activity of stem wood and stem bark is in the high category, although still lower than ascorbic acid, while the leaf are included in the weak category.
