Abstract

The use of freezer machines has now become a necessity for the wider community, because it is very helpful for humans in everyday life. The cooling load given greatly affects the performance of the freezer, both in terms of electrical energy consumption and the ability to increase system usage time. The greater the cooling load will increase the use of electrical energy during operation. This is very worrying in the future where the issue of depleting fossil energy sources which is currently a priority for producing electrical energy is increasing and filling the media. In recent years, solar energy has been rumored to be the answer to this problem. Where heat energy from the sun is used to move protons and electrons in a solar panel media to produce electrical energy that can be used for the needs of many people. This has become the attraction of researchers to make an innovation in the use of solar energy in a freezer system. Judging from the research roadmap related to solar energy and the vapor compression system in the freezer that was launched in the last few years, not many innovations have been carried out in the use of energy sources. The cooling load to be used will be adjusted to the capacity of the energy source used, which is 410 WP. With the capacity of the freezer that is used with a power of 1/4 PK which will increase its ability/ efficiency to be used and replace the paid electric energy freezer. This is expected to be useful for the public and contribute knowledge and help realize the university roadmap in the future.

Abstract

      Bantalan merupakan salah satu bagian dari elemen mesin yang memegang peranan cukup penting karena fungsi dari bantalan yaitu untuk menumpu sebuah poros agar poros dapat berputar tanpa mengalami gesekan yang berlebihan. Bantalan harus cukup kuat untuk memungkinkan poros serta elemen mesin lainnya bekerja dengan baik sesuai fungsinya. Kerusakan bearing banyak disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor diantaranya : faktor pembebanan, perawatan, material yang digunakan dan perhitungan dalam perencanaan pemilihan bearing. Jika bantalan tidak berfungsi dengan baik, maka prestasi seluruh sistem akan menurun bahkan bisa berhenti. Bearing yang digunakan jenis ASb UC204- 12berdiameter 19.50 mm, bahanbaja structural dan aluminium alloy.Pembebanan yang diberikan 200N dan torsi 75.429 N.m. Studi numerik ini menggunakan software solidworks 2012 sebagai alat mendesain bearing dan menggunakan software ansys workbench 14.0 sebagai alat simulasi numeriknya dan hasil simulasi baja struktural ialah total deformasi = 0.00030158mm, Equivalent stress= 10.085MPa, Equivalent strain = 5.695 x 10-5 mm/mm . Hasil simulasi aluminium alloy ialah total deformasi = 0.00094256mm, Equivalent stress= 9.9263MPa, Equivalent strain = 0.00015763mm/mm.

Abstract

PT. Sumatera Jaya Agro Lestari is an industry that is moving in the field of Coke Processing, some long processes that include Loading Ramp, Sterilizer,Trheser, Digester, Pressing, Clarification, and Kernel Plant stations, some problems that occur in the kernel stations mainly to Efficiency results on the Ripple Mill machine, not out of the Operation and Maintenance Standards performed by Using the achievement of the target of the Cernel by the efficiency standard of 96%, on Ripple mill machines often occur cworn outes on Stell Rod due to the input of the ripple Mill Too Over Load, and the amount of nut less mature, for that was done a study on Stel Rod that has already Worn out by performing the Rewelding Method, i.e. the addition of the meat of the steel Rod to 5 mm of the surface of the Rotor-Disc to obtain the maximum Effectiveness result. The steel rod is the most important part of the mill ripple machine consisting of stone mills that move automatically so that it will not reach the maximum efficiency result at mill mills ripple rod. With the welding method, the surface of the welded meat is applied to a steel rod with a thickness of 5mm to 7mm using the MWH 500 type electrode to form the return of the base of the new steel rods surface where the strength of the electrodes and the formation of the surface are correct. The results can be inferred from the efficiency of the impact of welding steel Rod averages 93.38% achieving a very high efficiency.
