Abstract

At the Taqwa Muhammadiyah Mosque, a local place of worship, the power blackout is becoming very troublesome. On one side of the village where the research was conducted, the light intensity was high enough so that it is very good to be used as a source of renewable energy, namely solar panels or better known as PLTS. Method used in this research is experiment which is fully functional to control the implementation of the solar panel for electricity supply for the Mosque everyday activity Based on the results of measurements and calculations, the 200 Wp solar panel, when the weather is sunny, will be able to charge a battery by 68.2% or 87.2 Watts. In using the battery, the efficiency factor of the battery must be considered because it cannot be operated until all power is used up. Battery Capacity is 754.7 Ah and is able to supply DC lamps for 1 day and is able to supply AC loads for 1.02 day. So in 11 hours (lowest data) the 200WP solar panel is able to charge a battery with a capacity of 100Ah at 80% of the full battery capacity. Keywords: generator; PLTS; solar cell

Abstract

Elevators are a crucial vertical transportation system in multi-story buildings, and the use of an appropriate control system can enhance operational efficiency, comfort, and safety. This study aims to design a control system for a 3-floor elevator using a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) OPTA FINDER, which offers advantages in flexibility and ease of programming. The design process involved creating a control system schematic, programming with ladder diagrams, and testing on a small-scale elevator model. The test results demonstrated that the system could operate the elevator with fast and accurate response in detecting floor positions, controlling automatic doors, and responding to emergency conditions. Furthermore, the PLC OPTA FINDER proved reliable in managing elevator system components and facilitating program modifications without requiring hardware changes. This control system also contributes to energy efficiency through optimized motor speed regulation. Thus, the implementation of the PLC OPTA FINDER provides an effective and safe solution for modern elevator control systems.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to investigate the impact strength and functional group characteristics, as identified through FTIR spectroscopy, of composite materials reinforced with pineapple leaf powder fibers that have undergone physical property enhancement via alkali treatment (NaOH). A series of processes were conducted to produce the pineapple leaf powder, starting with drying fresh pineapple leaves until they turned brown. The dried leaves were then cleaned and soaked in a 5% NaOH solution for durations of 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 hours to modify their physical properties. After treatment, the leaves were rinsed thoroughly and oven-dried at 60°C for 5 hours. The dried leaves were subsequently ground and sieved using a 150-mesh screen. This study involved two main observations: functional group analysis using FTIR spectroscopy and mechanical performance evaluation through impact testing. A total of 30 composite specimens were prepared and fabricated using a stepwise lamination method, following the ASTM D256 impact testing standard. The results indicate that alkali treatment progressively degraded the hemicellulose and lignin content in the pineapple leaf fibers, significantly enhancing the impact energy absorption of the composite material. However, extended treatment durations adversely affected the fiber quality, leading to structural damage and reduced interfacial cohesion between the composite components.

Abstract

Distorsi Harmonisa akan dihasilkan oleh beban tidak linier seperti televisi, komputer, microwave, lampu – lampu flourescent yangterdapat dan menggunakan ballas elektronik dan kandungan elektronik lainnya. harmonisa yang terdapat pada jenis beban tidak linier menyebabkan kualitas daya listrik menjadi buruk dan mutu pada mutu pengukuran daya listrik menjadi tidka optimal dan sering menyebabkan daya menurun. Beban residentil non-linier akan menghasilkan harmonisa. Dari hasil pengukuran beban tersebut memiliki faktor daya sebesar 5,53, dimana kandungan harmonisa pada orde ke 3 sebesar 62,7%, orde ke 5 sebesar 33,5%, orde ke 7 sebesar 21,4%, orde ke 9 sebesar 20,3%, orde ke 11 sebesar 9,4%, dan THDi sebesar 70,2%. Berdasarkan pada data tersebut maka perlu dilakukan pengurangan kandungan harmonisa dengan dilakukan penambahan filter. Simulasi ini mengetahui nilai yang terdapat pada beban residensial non-liner sehingga menggangu kerja kualitas daya listrik dan terdapat harmonisa

Abstract

Turbin air merupakan suatu peralatan konversi energi fluida kerja air dan salah satu jenis turbin air diantaranya adalah turbin pelton. Turbin pelton adalah jenis turbin air yang digunakan pada tinggi jatuh air yang besar dikarenakan jenis turbin ini menggunakan nosel hingga menghasilkan energi listrik yang besar pula. Dalam mencapai performa kinerja dari turbin pelton, sudu mempunyai peranan penting dikarenakan pemanfaatan energi air yang di tembakkan Nosel ke titik lingkaran tusuk ini dilakukan dua kali, yang pertama energi pancaran air pada sudu-sudu pada saat air mulai masuk, dan yang kedua adalah daya dorong air pada sudu-sudu saat air akan meninggalkan runner. Adapun yang menjadi tujuan umumnya untuk mengetahui pengaruh jumlah sudu terhadap unjuk kerja Turbin Pelton. Adapun tujuan khususnya (1) Mendapatkan nilai torsi yang terjadi pada poros. (2) Menghitung daya yang dihasilkan kerja Turbin. (3) Menganalisa nilai efisiensi dari kerjaTurbin. Metode yang digunakan untuk menghitung daya turbin adalah dengan cara membaca pergerakan pertambahan beban yang terjadi setelah turbin berputar. Sebelum turbin berputar beban dihitung dulu berat awalnya. kemudian setalah turbin berputar catat pertambahan berat beban. Dan lakukan pengamatan kecepatan putar turbin saat poros berputar. Pada hasil pengujian optimal pada jumlah 20 Bucket dengan putaran = 583,1 Rpm, Daya = 55,53 Watt , Torsi = 13,53 Nm dan Efisiensi = 1,43 %.
