Abstract

This study addresses the gap between education systems and labor market demands by developing a validated unit of competency titled “Research and Develop Occupational Standards.” Using a Research and Development (R&D) methodology alongside the Regional Model Competency Standards (RMCS), the study generated three main outcomes: a validated competency unit, a replicable model integrating job classifications, occupational standards, curriculum, and certification, and five policy recommendations for integrating these standards into National Qualification Frameworks (NQFs). The research emphasizes the need to transition from experience-based recruitment to skills-based hiring, addressing the global challenge where only 34% of employers apply competency-focused practices (World Economic Forum, 2023). The study’s findings also contribute to aligning educational outcomes with labor market needs, thereby enhancing employability and ensuring that qualifications remain relevant amidst the digital transformation and the growing demand for sustainability-related skills. The study’s implications are far-reaching, providing a framework for policymakers, education providers, and industry stakeholders to improve workforce competency and support lifelong learning. Future research should explore digital tools, such as AI and blockchain, to enhance the scalability and real-time responsiveness of labor market skills and qualifications.

Abstract

The gap between educational outcomes and industry needs in operations management has become increasingly apparent, highlighting a pressing need for alignment to enhance workforce readiness and national competitiveness. This study aims to identify key competencies required in operations management, map them within the framework of the Indonesian Qualification Framework (IQF), and propose recommendations for aligning educational curricula with industry demands. A qualitative research method was employed, involving literature reviews and expert interviews from both academia and industry sectors to gather data on essential skills, knowledge areas, and role progression in operations management. The findings reveal a comprehensive mapping of occupations within operations management, aligned with the IQF, detailing specific competency standards across different qualification levels—from entry-level to executive roles. The research emphasizes the importance of standardized competency frameworks, industry-relevant curriculum development, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous feedback mechanisms to ensure educational programs remain responsive to evolving market needs. By closing the gap between what is taught and what is required, the study contributes to improving graduate employability and the overall effectiveness of the education-to-employment pipeline in Indonesia. The implications of this research are significant for policymakers, educators, and industry stakeholders in fostering a more integrated, agile, and future-ready workforce. Further studies are recommended to conduct sector-specific analysis and longitudinal assessments of the impact of IQF integration on graduate performance and career progression.

Abstract

This study develops a competency unit standard for conducting competency-based recruitment assessment in Indonesian organisations. It addresses the absence of such a unit in the national competency framework (SKKNI) and seeks to strengthen HRD productivity through more evidence-based people-placement decisions. The study adopts a qualitative research and development (R&D) design based on the four-phase TAEDES504 framework. The unit was drafted using the Subject-Bold and Range Statement Integration Model, grounded in the author's Interface Model, which requires the grammatical subject of each Performance Criterion to be bolded and matched with a corresponding Range Statement entry. The draft was then validated against N.78SPS01.006.1, the formally endorsed Indonesian standard for NCS verification. The resulting unit, SKK-CKP-AS-01-26, comprises five Elements, 15 Performance Criteria, and 15 fully traceable Range Statement entries, while explicitly integrating all eight employability skills as assessment-method categories. Verification against all six criteria of N.78SPS01.006.1 Element 3 confirmed full conformity, with no Corrective Action Requests required. The paper offers the first formally structured SKKNI unit for competency-based recruitment assessment and contributes a practical, rule-based NCS formulation protocol that ensures bidirectional traceability between Performance Criteria and Range Statements. The protocol is potentially transferable to other competency-based training systems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Customer Experience, Price Perception, and Word of Mouth on purchasing decisions at Angel Kebaya. Using a quantitative approach, data was collected through a survey with 150 respondents selected by purposive sampling. The questionnaire was distributed via Google Form in January 2025. The results showed that customer experience, price perception, and word of mouth have a significant influence on purchasing decisions. This research expands the understanding of how these three factors influence purchasing decisions. The findings provide insights for Angel Kebaya to improve customer experience, set competitive prices, and encourage positive word of mouth.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the first occupation map for Marketing Management aligned with the Indonesian Qualification Framework (IQF). It responds to the persistent gap between higher education outcomes and industry skill requirements, particularly in digital marketing, data analytics, and strategic innovation. Using the Rapid Assessment Process[A1] [A2] (RAP) through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis, the research identified 47 distinct occupations spanning from entry-level roles such as Retail Assistant to senior executive positions like Chief Marketing Officer. The findings reveal that most occupations have yet to be supported by competency standards, highlighting substantial misalignment between educational programs and workforce expectations. This gap underscores the urgency of embedding industry-driven competencies into curricula and developing flexible training and certification pathways. The occupation map provides a strategic framework for policymakers, educational institutions, and industry stakeholders to redesign curricula, guide recruitment, and shape professional development initiatives. By systematically integrating marketing occupations into the IQF, this research contributes a pioneering reference for Indonesia that strengthens graduate employability, supports workforce planning, and enhances global competitiveness in line with ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRA) and the World Economic Forum's call for future-ready skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Brand Image, electronic word of mouth (E-WOM), and service quality on consumer stay decisions at Hotel 88 Mangga Besar 120. A quantitative method with accidental sampling was applied to 150 respondents, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that all three variables have a positive and significant influence on stay decisions, both partially and simultaneously, with Brand Image emerging as the most dominant factor. The model explains 48.3% of the variation in consumer decisions. These findings suggest that hotel managers should strengthen brand communication, manage online reviews effectively, and maintain service quality consistently to enhance consumer decision-making and increase occupancy rates.

Abstract

This This research aims to address the gap between the competencies required by the organic farming sector and the skills provided by educational institutions in Indonesia. By mapping occupations within the Indonesian Qualification Framework (IQF) and using the Rapid Assessment Process (RAP) along with the Regional Model Competency Standard (RMCS), the study identifies key roles and competencies necessary for the industry, ranging from entry-level workers to advanced specialists. The findings suggest that current curricula fail to integrate advanced technologies and practical skills training needed in organic farming. The study proposes curriculum enhancements that incorporate sustainable farming practices, biochar technology, and entrepreneurial education to align with industry demands. A strategic framework is also introduced to address the generational gap in the sector by modernizing the perception of farming and attracting younger talent through digital engagement and innovative educational approaches. The research highlights the importance of bridging the competency gap and fostering a skilled workforce capable of driving sustainable agricultural practices, ultimately strengthening the organic farming sector and ensuring its long-term viability.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of quality dimensions on customer satisfaction across various industries. Using a mixed-method approach, the research identifies Service Quality and Process Quality as the most significant factors influencing customer satisfaction. Service Quality positively impacts customer experience, while Process Quality negatively affects satisfaction due to inconsistencies in operations. The influence of quality dimensions varies by industry: service industries prioritize service quality, manufacturing emphasizes product and process quality, and digital industries focus on innovation and usability. The findings support a holistic evaluation model for quality, integrating key quality dimensions tailored to industry needs. Strategic recommendations include enhancing service quality, optimizing processes, leveraging data-driven feedback, and aligning quality strategies with industry characteristics. This research provides actionable insights for businesses to improve customer satisfaction, foster loyalty, and maintain a competitive advantage.
