Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi indikator berpikir kreatif mahasiswa program studi Teknik Perancangan Mekanik saat menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika dengan menggunakan konteks pulley dan belt pada mesin. Jenis dari penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi teknik perancangan mekanik. Tahapan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini antara lain, tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan menganalisis data. Validitas data penelitian dilakukan dengan triangulasi, pengecekan sejawat, dan observasi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini Secara keseluruhan, kemampuan mahasiswa dalam berpikir kreatif termasuk dalam kategori baik sebesar 62%. Urutan indikator dari yang paling sering dimiliki mahasiswa sampai yang paling jarang dimiliki mahasiswa antara lain, indikator fluency sebesar 100%, elaboration sebesar 83%, flexibility sebesar 50%, dan originality sebesar 17%. Hal ini karena pada indikator flexibility mahasiswa terbiasa menggunakan satu strategi dan tidak terbiasa untuk mencoba menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut ke dalam strategi yang lain. Pada indikator origanility, mahasiswa terlihat masih kesulitan dalam menggambarkan strategi baru yang tak baku karena mahasiswa dengan menggunakan rumus-rumus yang telah mereka kenal dan cenderung tidak dapat menemukan rumus baru dengan menghubungkannnya dari beberapa konsep matematis yang berkaitan dengan soal.

Abstract

Learning combinatorics material requires a digital learning medium that is able to support students' independent learning. The unavailability of digital media makes students experience difficulties, so independent learning cannot be carried out effectively. This research aims to develop a digital-based smart calculator application as a learning medium for combinatorics material that meets the criteria of being valid, effective, and practical. This research applies research and development (R&D) methods whose stages are the preliminary stage, planning stage, formative evaluation stage, prototyping stage, and large class trials (field tests). A total of 31 Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic TRPL students were the subjects of this research. The data collection techniques applied are expert validation sheets, effectiveness trial questionnaires, and practicality trial questionnaires. Expert validation activities provide evidence that the media is valid and ready to be used in learning. Based on effectiveness and practicality trials on 31 students, the results showed that the digital-based smart calculator application was classified as effective and practical. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that the development of a digital-based smart-calculator application is valid, effective, and practical, so that the digital-based smart-calculator application is ready to be used and applied to learning combinatorics material.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Pembelajaran materi kombinatorika membutuhkan suatu media pembelajaran digital yang mampu mendukung pembelajaran mandiri mahasiswa. Tidak tersedianya media digital ini membuat mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan sehingga pembelajaran mandiri tidak dapat terlaksana dengan efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi smart – calculator berbasis digital sebagai media pembelajaran materi kombinatorika yang memenuhi kriteria valid, efektif, dan praktis Penelitian ini menerapkan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang tahapannya yaitu tahap preliminary, tahap perencanaan, tahap formative evaluation, tahap prototyping, dan uji coba kelas besar (field test). Sejumlah 31 mahasiswa TRPL Politeknik Manufaktur Negeri Bangka Belitung menjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini. Teknis pengumpulan data yang diterapkan adalah menggunakan lembar validasi ahli, angket uji coba keefektifan, dan angket uji coba kepraktisan. Kegiatan validasi ahli memberikan hasil bahwa media valid dan siap digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Berdasarkan uji coba keefektifan dan kepraktisan terhadap 31 mahasiswa memberikan hasil bahwa aplikasi smart – calculator berbasis digital tergolong  efektif dan praktis. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan aplikasi smart – calculator berbasis digital tergolong valid, efektif, dan praktis sehingga aplikasi smart – calculator berbasis digital siap digunakan dan diterapkan pada pembelajaran materi kombinatorika.

Abstract

Numeracy and literacy are the focus of Indonesia's education system. This is evident from the implementation of the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM), which has been part of the national annual assessment since 2021. The results are analyzed and reflected upon to assess the quality of education in implementing schools. Students' numeracy skills can improve if they use reasoning to solve problems. Reasoning connects the concepts they hold with the context of the problem at hand. Reasoning results are used to interpret, analyze, and make decisions. The reasoning in question focuses on adaptive reasoning (reflection, explanation, and justification). Research was conducted to describe the adaptive reasoning of high school students through the answers of students who participated in a reasoning competition. The instrument used is a numeracy test. This research is qualitative with descriptive methods. Analysis was conducted on the three student answers that obtained the highest scores (purposive sampling) and focused on the fertilizer theme. This theme is presented in graphic form as a stimulus with two questions that students need to answer. The data analysis technique in this research involved reducing the data. The result obtained was that one student used aspects of adaptive reasoning (reflection, explanation, and justification) completely in answering questions. This indicates that this student can solve problems using adaptive reasoning. This student is said to have good numeracy skills because they can use adaptive reasoning.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Literasi dan numerasi menjadi salah satu fokus pada dunia pendidikan di Indonesia. Hal ini terlihat dari pelaksanaan Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum (AKM) yang menjadi bagian dari asesmen nasional dilakukan secara berkala sejak tahun 2021. Hasilnya dianalisis dan direfleksikan menjadi mutu pendidikan dari sekolah yang melaksanakan. Kemampuan numerasi siswa dapat dikatakan baik jika siswa dapat menggunakan nalarnya untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan. Penalarannya digunakan untuk mengaitkan antara konsep yang dimiliki dengan konteks masalah yang dihadapi. Hasil penalaran dimanfaatkan untuk menginterpresi, menganalisis, sampai mengambil keputusan. Penalaran yang dimaksud berfokus pada penalaran adaptif (reflecting, explaining, dan justifying). Penelitian dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan penalaran adaptif siswa SMA melalui jawaban siswa yang mengikuti lomba nalaria. Intrumen yang digunakan adalah tes numerasi. Jenis penelitian pada penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Analisis dilakukan pada tiga jawaban siswa yang memperoleh skor tertinggi (pusposive sampling) dan berfokus pada tema pupuk. Tema ini disajikan dalam bentuk grafik sebagai stimulus dan dua soal yang perlu dijawab siswa. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini dengan mereduksi data. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah satu siswa yang menggunakan aspek penalaran adaptif (reflecting, explaining, dan justifying) secara utuh dalam menjawab soal. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa siswa ini dapat dikatakan mampu menyelesaikan masalah dengan menggunakan penalaran adaptifnya. Siswa ini dikatakan memiliki kemampuan numerasi yang baik karena mampu mempergunakan penaralan adaptifnya.

Abstract

The lack of activities to strengthen engineering literacy implemented at the elementary school level and the dominant learning carried out using text books are the main factors in the low engineering literacy of elementary school students. This community service activity aims to strengthen the engineering literacy of elementary school students through the Hydraulic Robotic Arm (HydRA) assembly activity at SDN 21 Sungailiiat. Through this activity, it is hoped that it can increase students' knowledge and skills related to engineering literacy, which can be used and developed further to welcome the era of society 5.0. This community service activity is carried out through a series of activities, starting with an initial survey carried out at partner locations, followed by preparing activity plans and creating activity materials, up to the activity implementation stage. This activity took place for one day at SD Negeri 21 Sungailiat and was attended by 26 students of class V A. The activity of strengthening elementary school students' engineering literacy through the Hydraulic Robotic Arm (HydRA) assembly activity at SDN 21 Sungailiiat went well, as seen by the increase in knowledge and skills students related to engineering literacy.

Abstract

The fact that gadgets are no longer luxury items and every student certainly has them presents an opportunity for teachers to create meaningful learning. One way to do this is by conducting learning assisted by PhET Simulations. These simulations offer various concepts in mathematics, physics, biology, and chemistry to be taught in the form of simulations. The use of these simulations allows the role of the teacher as a learning facilitator to be effectively carried out theoretically. However, the use of simulations has not been carried out to assist teachers in teaching material. Strengthening needs to be done. The strengthening is carried out at SMP N 1 Pemali through providing focused reinforcement for Mathematics and Natural Sciences (IPA) teachers. The reinforcement implementation is equivalent to a 6-hour training with activities starting and ending with tests to see if there is any improvement in understanding related to the reinforcement provided. Information was obtained indicating a good improvement in understanding related to the use of PhET as a learning medium for teachers is 37,5 %. In addition, the reinforcement provided received a positive response. Reinforcement practice in using PhET simulations has a good impact on MIPA SMP’s teachers as facilitators in learning.

Abstract

Understanding is a basic middle level thinking skill based on the revised Bloom's taxonomy. One learning model that is student-centered is Interactive Lecture Demonstration (ILDs). Surveys prove that particle dynamics is one of the physics topics that is difficult for students to understand. As a result, students cannot construct their own understanding. The development of ILDs model-oriented digital teaching materials is a solution. The subjects focused on students in class XI Science in two classes which were used as experiment and control. Development research applies four stages, including definition, design, development and dissemination. The aim of this development is to improve the ability to understand. So for dissemination, mixed research methods are applied with a sequential explanatory strategy. This strategy was chosen because research is dominated by quantitative research. Subjects were given two instruments, namely a comprehension ability test to obtain an overview of comprehension abilities that can be strengthened through the implementation of digital teaching materials and an attitude scale sheet to see students' perspectives regarding the implementation of digital teaching materials. The results obtained by the characteristics of teaching materials contain a series of stages of the ILDs model and can improve understanding abilities.

Abstract

Berdasarkan pengamatan terhadap aktivitas kelas dan pencapaian belajar dalam mata kuliah Matematika, ditemukan bahwa seluruh mahasiswa (100%) mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Kesulitan ini perlu segera diatasi, mengingat pentingnya keterampilan pemecahan masalah dalam mempersiapkan mahasiswa menghadapi dunia kerja. Oleh karena itu, langkah-langkah yang diambil melalui penelitian dan pengembangan mencakup pembuatan buku ajar matematika teknik mesin berbasis problem solving yang memenuhi kriteria validitas dan kepraktisan. Pengembangan buku ajar ini menggunakan metode penelitian design research dengan jenis development study yang meliputi tahap preliminary, perencanaan, evaluasi formatif, dan prototyping. Berdasarkan hasil review dari para ahli, buku ajar ini dinilai sangat valid. Secara bersamaan, buku ajar diuji coba pada lima mahasiswa untuk menilai keterbacaannya, dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa buku ajar tersebut tergolong sangat praktis. Hasil uji coba one-to-one mengungkapkan bahwa penerapan langkah-langkah pemecahan masalah yang sistematis, seperti memahami masalah, merancang rencana, melaksanakan rencana, dan mengevaluasi kembali, membantu mahasiswa mencapai solusi yang lebih tepat. Temuan juga menunjukkan bahwa penerapan langkah-langkah tersebut meningkatkan rasa percaya diri mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Dengan demikian, buku ajar ini memenuhi standar validitas dan kepraktisan.Based on observations of classroom activities and learning outcomes in the Mathematics course, it was found that all students (100%) experienced difficulties in problem-solving. Given the importance of problem-solving skills in preparing students for the workforce, this issue must be addressed promptly. Therefore, the steps taken through research and development involved creating a mathematics textbook for mechanical engineering based on problem-solving that meets the criteria of validity and practicality. The development of this textbook employed a design research method with a development study approach, including several stages: preliminary, planning, formative evaluation, and prototyping. Based on expert reviews, it was concluded that the developed textbook is highly valid. Simultaneously, the textbook was tested with five students to assess its readability, and the results showed that it was efficient. The results from the one-to-one trial revealed that applying systematic problem-solving steps, such as understanding the problem, devising a plan, carrying out the plan, and looking back, helped students arrive at more accurate solutions. Other findings also indicated that following these steps increased students’ confidence in solving problems. Therefore, it can be concluded that the mathematics textbook for mechanical engineering based on problem-solving meets the standards of validity and practicality.

Abstract

Student attendance administration is a crucial process at Al-Quran Education Parks (TPA). In reality, many TPAs ​​still conduct manual administration, as in the three TPAs ​​surveyed in Bangka, making them vulnerable to data loss, inaccurate recording, and slow processing. The solution is to design an intelligent, integrated website attendance system using fingerprint sensors, ESP 8266, and Firebase. The collaboration between biometric technology and Firebase is expected to replace manual administration, improve discipline and accuracy of student attendance data, and increase efficiency. The results demonstrate the system's effectiveness in supporting the attendance process.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas pendidikan menjadi fokus utama pemerintah untuk mencetak generasi penerus yang unggul. Salah satu indikator evaluasi yang digunakan adalah hasil PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment), yang dirilis setiap empat tahun. Berdasarkan rapor pendidikan, kemampuan numerasi siswa SMPN 3 Belinyu berada pada kategori "sedang". Wawancara dengan guru mengungkap bahwa budaya numerasi belum diintegrasikan secara menyeluruh dalam semua mata pelajaran, meskipun numerasi merupakan kemampuan dasar yang penting dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menerapkan numerasi melalui pelatihan lintas bidang studi. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah workshop-based training, yang dirancang untuk melibatkan peserta secara aktif dalam pembelajaran berbasis praktik. Pelatihan dimulai dengan penyampaian materi mengenai konsep dan penerapan numerasi, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pengembangan asesmen numerasi yang relevan sesuai mata pelajaran masing-masing. Kegiatan ini dilakukan secara berkelompok, melibatkan dua guru dari bidang studi yang berbeda. Hasil dari pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa numerasi dapat diintegrasikan secara efektif ke dalam berbagai mata pelajaran. Produk yang dihasilkan berupa asesmen numerasi yang relevan dengan materi ajar, yang mendukung peningkatan literasi numerasi di SMPN 3 Belinyu. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengintegrasikan numerasi ke dalam pembelajaran, yang pada akhirnya diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Abstrak:Secara umum pembelajaran Matematika dan Fisika masih dirasakan sulit bagi mahasiswa. Hal ini karena minat belajar mahasiswa pada kedua mata kuliah tersebut masih rendah. Hal ini dikarenakan metode pembelajaran yang monoton, dan penggunaan media yang terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah matematika dan fisika dengan mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis game edukasi yang bertemakan kearifan lokal "orang Lom," yaitu "Lom’s Ethnic Journey". Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah design research meliputi expert review, one-to-one, small group, dan field test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa game edukasi ini telah terbukti valid, praktis, dan memiliki efek potensial. Dari hasil efek potensial diperoleh user acceptance sebesar 86 persen dapat diterima dengan baik tanpa kendala saat digunakan di banyak jenis smartphone dan applicability organizational acceptance dalam peningkatan minat belajar mahasiswa sebesar 44 persen. Urutan minat belajar yang peningkatannya dari tertinggi ke terendah antara lain, adanya kemauan belajar, adanya pemusatan perhatian dan pikiran terhadap pembelajaran, adanya upaya yang dilakukan untuk merealisasikan keinginan untuk belajar, dan adanya perasaan senang mahasiswa dalam belajar.Abstract:Learning Mathematics and Physics is generally perceived as difficult for students, primarily due to low interest in these subjects. This is due to monotonous learning methods and limited use of media. This research aims to increase students' interest in mathematics and physics courses by developing educational game-based learning media with the theme of local wisdom "Lom people," namely "Lom's Ethnic Journey." The research method used was design research, which includes expert review, one-to-one, small group, and field tests. The study results show that this educational game has been proven valid and practical and has potential effects. The result of the potential effect is 86 percent of user acceptance, meaning it can be well received without problems when used in many types of smartphones. The implementation of organizational acceptance increased student interest in learning by 44 percent. The order of learning interest that increased from the highest to the lowest included the willingness to learn, the concentration of attention and mind on learning, the efforts made to realize the desire to learn, and the feeling of student happiness in learning.
