Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model assisted by Student Worksheets (LKPD) on higher order thinking skills (HOTS) and improving learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMPN 1 Gondang Tulungagung on the science material of the human excretory system. This study used a quasi-experimental design with Non-Equivalent Control Group Design, involving an experimental group that received PjBL treatment assisted by LKPD and a control group with conventional methods. The study sample consisted of 38 class VIII students selected by purposive sampling. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the average value of student learning outcomes in the group that was not exposed to the intervention and the experimental group. The average class value in the group exposed to the intervention was 39.45, while the average posttest value increased to 77.92. In contrast, the average class value in the group that was not exposed to the intervention was 41.58, with an increase to 44.50 in the posttest. Further descriptive analysis revealed a significant increase in the mean, median, and mode scores in the intervention group after treatment. The t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), which supports the hypothesis that the LKPD-assisted PjBL model has a significant effect on improving students' high-level thinking skills and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Eco-enzyme adalah cairan hasil fermentasi bahan organik seperti sisa kulit buah dan sayuran yang berasal dari limbah dapur. Cairan ini memiliki berbagai kegunaan dalam menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem dan mengurangi dampak pencemaran lingkungan, seperti digunakan sebagai pupuk cair alami, pembersih ramah lingkungan, dan penetral bau limbah. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan serta mengajarkan teknik pembuatan eco-enzyme sebagai alternatif dalam mengelola limbah organik secara berkelanjutan. Masyarakat dilibatkan secara langsung dalam setiap tahap proses, mulai dari pemilihan bahan, fermentasi, hingga penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Melalui metode pembelajaran yang interaktif dan berbasis praktik, diharapkan masyarakat semakin sadar akan pentingnya mengelola limbah dengan cara yang lebih ramah lingkungan. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan eco-enzyme dapat menjadi langkah inovatif dalam upaya menjaga kelestarian alam sekaligus meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat dengan diterapkan secara langsung sebagai pengganti pupuk kimia.

Abstract

This research aims to develop computer-assisted learning media that is feasible and valid so that it can visualize abstract concepts in vibration and wave material for junior high school / MTs class VIII students. The development method used in this research and development is the Four-D Model by taking three steps, namely defining, designing, and developing. The feasibility of the developed media can be known from the validation test and the readability test. The results of the development in the form of computer-aided learning media on vibration and wave material for students in grade VIII SMP / MTs. The results of the feasibility test by media experts obtained an average score of 93.25% which means very feasible. The test results by material experts obtained 20 correct concepts, all of which are very feasible, and the results of the readability test obtained an average score of 93.75%, all respondents can accept this media well, which means it is very feasible. Based on the results of the assessment, in general, the learning media developed has met the criteria very feasible so that it can be said that learning media can help improve concept understanding for students.
