Abstract

This research explores the use of illustrative music as a stimulus for skill development in the field of body movement within the Dance Education program at Padang State University (UNP). Illustrative music aids in motivation, rhythm regulation, concentration, emotional expression, memory, creativity, body mobility, and flexibility in the dance body movement courses. The research employs a qualitative methodology involving interviews, observations, and document analysis to investigate the impact of illustrative music. The findings of the study indicate that the use of illustrative music, such as Minangkabau ethnic music and classical music, during dance body movement exercises provides a positive boost to skill development, emotional expression, and movement comprehension within the art of dance. Through this approach, the Dance Education program at UNP creates a deep, holistic learning environment for body movement in the art of dance.

Abstract

The potential of local culture, namely Piriang Diateh Karambia Dance in tourism development, is part of a product of human creativity that has economic value. This innovative goal is to analyze local culture as a cultural tourism attraction in Solok City which is packaged in the form of performances. Piriang Diateh Karambia dance is in the tourist bag in Solok City. This service method used is qualitative analysis through direct observation and indepth interviews with related parties. To analyze the potential and problems in the local culture of Piariang Diateh Karambia Dance as a cultural tourism attraction at the location where Piriang Diateh Krambia Dance grows including internal and external potential and problems. Local culture of Piriang Diateh Karambia Dance, especially in Solok City in general, has unique potential and art product centers need to be innovative as a means of performing arts that can increase cultural tourism. Innovative strategies as an increase in the local culture of Piariang Diateh Karambia Dance will attract tourists who come to the cultural bag in Solok City. Innovative local culture of Piriang Diateh Karambia Dance in Solok City, made into attractive packaging as a performing art to come to Solok City. Besides being presented as a performing art that will stimulate community economic growth through UMKM in natural tourism pockets in Solok City.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujun untuk untuk mengungkapkan dan mendeskripsikan tentang Koreografi Tari Limo Sapayuang di Sanggar Seni Mutiara Minang Kota Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskripsif. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri dan dibantu dengan instrumen pendukung seperti alat tulis dan kamera. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi pustaka, observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Langkah-langkah menganalisis data adalah pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tari Limo Sapayuang termasuk kedalam golongan tari kreasi baru karena sudah dapat dipastikan dari elemen-elemen komposisi seperti pada tari Limo Sapayuang memiliki 56 ragam gerak yang dibagi menjadi 3 bagian yaitu gerak awal, gerak inti dan gerak ending/penutup. Tari ini Memiliki desain lantai yang bervariasi dengan 25 macam bentuk pola lantai yang dikembangkan dari garis lurus dan lengkung. Komposisi kelompok yang digarap estetis serta dinamis yang menciptakan bentuk komposisi berimbang, serempak, bergantian, selang-seling, dan terpecah. Selain itu Desain dramatik dalam tari ini adalah Kerucut berganda dimana yang diawali dengan tempo musik cepat dengan suasana tenang penuh semangat. Tarian ini juga dilengkapi oleh unsur pendukung koreografi yang meliputi Alat musik, busana dan tatarias. Alat Musik yang digunakan pada Tari Limo Sapayuang adalah mengkolaborasikan alat musik tradisional dan alat musik modern seperti Talempong, Gandang Tambua, Pupuik sarunai, Saluang, Canang, Gitar bass, Marakas, Cymbal, Hi hat dan keyboard. Untuk tata rias dan kostum yaitu menggunakan baju Satin berwarna biru, memakai perhiasan kalung, serta dibagian kepala juga memakai hiasan kepala yang dikreasikan. Properti yang digunakan yaitu Payuang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gerak Tari Pasambahan di Dusun Tangah, Kampung Baru, Kota Pariaman. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Instrument penelitian adalah penelitian sendiri yang dibantu alat tulis, kamera dan flashdisk. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara studi kepustakaan, observasi langsung, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dengan teknik analisis data melalui langkah-langkah pengumpulan data, mendeskripsikan dan membuat kesimpulan yang dapat dipertanggung jawabkan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Tari Pasambahan merupakan tari kreasi yang tumbuh dan berkembang di Kota Pariaman. Tari ini digunakan dalam proses penyambutan tamu baik yang formal maupun non formal yang berfungsi sebagai hiburan. Tari Pasambahan di daerah Sumatera Barat pada umumnya menggunakan pola lantai yang sederhana, bertempo sedang, serta gerakan yang lemah lembut dan anggun seperti mencerminkan sifat wanita Minangkabau, akan tetapi Tari Pasambahan di Sanggar Mustika Minang ini memiliki tempo yang cepat dengan memperlihatkan sisi lain wanita Minangkabau yang tangkas, kuat, dan tidak bisa diremehkan.Serta pada saat penampilannya tari ini menggunakan properti tabuik sebagai identitas dan memperkenalkan budaya Kota Pariaman kepada daerah lain. Di dalam Tari Pasambahan ini terdapat beberapa sumber gerak seperti gerak palintang suto, gerak sambah, dan pengembangan langkah siganjua lalai. Sedangkan untuk silek nya berpedoman kepada gerakan silek pauh, silek sunua, dan silek Pariaman.

Abstract

Penggarapan Karya Akhir Teater Naskah Makam Dipertuan ini bertujuan 1) memberikan kontribusi sebagai salah satu generasi muda minangkabau yang masih memiliki ketertarikan terhadap isu adat dan budaya minangkabau yang direalisasikan dalam bentuk sebuah pertunjukan teater, 2) memberikan penyadaran bahwa seni pertunjukan bukan hanya sebatas keindahan semata namun juga seni pembebasan yang berfungsi sebagai bentuk penyadaran bagi masyarakat terhadap fenomena adat budaya yang terjadi dan berkembang dikehidupan sehari hari dan juga sebagai kritik sosial terhadap kenyataan. Dalam penggarapan karya ini pengkarya menggunakan konsep Teater Epik Beltot Brecht dengan teknik efek alienasi atau teknik pengasingan antara penonton dengan ilusi yang dihadirkan di atas panggung. Dalam garapan karya ini pengkarya memakai beberapa handprop dan properti serta garapan gerakan dan nyanyian yang dibagi ke dalam enam babak untuk memaksimalkan pencapaian teknik efek alienasi terhadap penonton. Dalam rancangan penyutradaraan ini pengkarya menggunakan Metode penyutradaraan yang digagas oleh Suyatna Anirun yang tahapan pencarian, tahapan memberi isi, tahapan pengembangan, dan tahapan pemantapan.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal, describe and analyze the Choreography of Sentak Ilau Dance at Nan Gombang Painan Art Center, South Pesisir Regency. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. This research instrument is the researcher himself assisted by supporting instruments in the form of stationery and cameras. Data were collected through literature study, observation, interviews and documentation. The steps of analyzing data are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this study show that the choreography form of Sentak Ilau Dance at Nan Gombang Painan Art Studio in South Pesisir Regency consists of Motion, Top Design, Dynamics, Dramatic Design, Floor Design, Costumes, Properties, Group Composition, and Dance Accompaniment. Sentak Ilau Dance movement comes from Silek Tiger dance, Rantak Kudo and Salido cloth. The top design of Sentak Ilau Dance consists of Angular, Curved, High, Low, Flat, Vertical, Horizontal, Medium and contrasting top designs. The dynamics of Sentak Ilau Dance consists of three aspects, namely aspects of space, time and energy. The dramatic atmosphere in the dance is divided into 2 parts, namely calm and tense. The floor design used varies. Sentak Ilau's dance floor design consists of straight and curved lines. The musical instruments used are such as violin, kompang, bansi, serunai, saluang, talempong and tamburin. The property used in this sentak ilau dance is a jug containing frankincense and used tin bottles containing small stones. The costumes used are modified costumes, namely modified kuruang basiba clothes, Galembong, Saspayang cloth, headdresses used from sisampiang cloth and belts.
