Abstract

This article aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes by using the media powerpoint in learning art and culture (music) class VIII in SMP N 31 Padang. The type of research is experimental or experimental research belonging to quantitative research groups in the form of data numbers. Instrument research in the form of pretest, final test (postest), and instrument of observation record. The results of this study indicate that the learning of art and culture (music) in class VIII SMP N 31 Padang done in 4x meeting runs well. It is seen that the use of powerpoint media on music art learning in the class VIII SMP N 31 Padang with the material understand the technique of playing traditional musical instruments in groups. This has a good impact on student learning outcomes in class VIII 3. Improvement of the average score of student learning outcomes before using visual media in the form of powerpoint of 74.53 increased to 88.28 after using visual media in the form of powerpoint. In addition, the visual media in the form of powerpoint can increase the students' curiosity, so as to generate a high sense of enthusiasm and enthusiasm in the learning process, and create an increasingly interesting learning atmosphere that is not boring for students, the media powerpoint can also create a more effective learning process, interactive And efisisen. So that the learning process can run smoothly and can achieve maximum learning objectives. Keywords: Usage, Powerpoint Cultural Art (Music)

Abstract

Abstract This study was animed at promoting the Minangkabau traditional artinto new form of artwork. Through musical work of Minang Groovy, the writer intended to show that the traditional music could  be collaborated woth modern music. This,however, also could be developed by using various design and was combined with other modern musical instruments. The traditional music then could be more attractive and enjoyed by all of people especially the young generation. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis researchaims at observing the function of “Kompang” and describing its preservation from Tapak Budaya art studio in Tanjung Uban, Bintan, Riau Island. This qualitative research applied the descriptive analysis method. The primary instrument was the researcher himself helped with stationaries, note books, and a camera. There were two types data in this research: primary and secondary data. They were later analyzed by reducing, presenting, and verifying data. The research result shows that the art of “Kompang” still remains until today and it is still presented as it was before in the past. The studio developes the volume of the art performance to other regions and does not forbid anyone who is interested in learning the art. They also add new rhymes and develop the motives. The art is always created analog with the condition and needs of the audience. Meanwhile, the function of “Kompang” is as an entertainment for the host and the audiences.Keyword: Pelestarian, Kompang, Sanggar Tapak Budaya.

Abstract

Abstract This article aims to find out and describe the existence of Selawat Dulang in Padang Sibusuk community which includes the use, function, position, meaning and effort to keep the existence of Selawat Dulang in Nagari Padang Sibusuk. This research was descriptive research using a qualitative approach. Instruments in this study were researcher self and assisted with the supporting instruments such as notebooks, stationery, and camera. The technique of data collection was done through literature study, observation and interview. The technique of data analysis was done by observation steps, identifying data, interpreting data, describing data and making discussion. The results show that the Art of Selawat Dulang is still existing and awakened in the mind of Padang Sibusuk people in accordance with the needs of Padang Sibusuk community. This study shows that Selawat Dulang has several functions. They are social function, as entertainment and group existence. The results prove that the position and meaning of Selawat Dulang in the community of Padang Sibusuk strengthening its existence and making Selawat Dulang as a form of cultural preservation. Keywords: Use, Function, Meaning, Existence, Selawat Dulang

Abstract

This article aims to describe the implementation of learning art and culture (contemporary music) class XII of MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Sawahlunto. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive method. The main instrument in this study is the researchers themselves and assisted with assisted with observation, interviews, and documentation and study of the literature. The technique of data collection is done by way of observation, interview, documentation and study of the literature. Techniques in analyzing the data is carried out by means of the data processing directly after the field. The results showed that teachers design a simpler contemporary music learning to teach in order to be digested by students given that the study of contemporary music is not a little. In the performance of contemporary music learning, learning that implemented teacher different to what has been written into the draft implementation of learning (RPP). Still found some weaknesses against the methods and strategies that teachers use against learning. Teachers should increase the motivation of students to more focused in the art and cultural learning by doing approach individuals and groups. Facilities and infrastructure provided the school is still minimal, resulting in learning not to be implemented properly.

Abstract

Abstract The proses of making and producing the music artwork “Giant Step” aimed at expressing the musicians’ experience that had a special meaning on the use of the harmony of two tones with the use of interval (the space between two tones) that had a huge space from the first tone to the combination tone with the electric bass as the instrument. The huge interval was used to create harmony in this artwork. Some of them were sekt, sept, octave, none, decime and undecime, the interval between the tone was based on the range of the fingers and the needs of  this artwork. In this artwork, the writer used the fusion style in which there was a combination between rock, funk and jazz style. The writer aimed at performing an artwork that had an energy and spirit from Rock and Funk style as well as it got the harmony from the Jazz style so that it could give its special uniqueness and characteristics. Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of recorder learning using WhatsApp application in class VII.5 at SMPN 2 Pariaman. This is a qualitative research using descriptive method. The main instrument in this study was the researcher itself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as writing instruments and cameras. The data were collected through literature study, interview, observation, and documentation. The steps for analyzing data are collecting the data, describing the data, and making conclusions. The results show that the implementation of learning using WhatsApp application at SMP Negeri 2 Pariaman, especially in class VII.5, has not been carried out well because not all students participate in the process of online learning. There are obstacles in the implementation of online learning such as internet connection, internet loads. In addition, there are still some students who do not have cellphones. As a result, there are many students who do not participate in the learning process using WhatsApp application. At the presentation and delivery stage, the teacher only gives assignments to students through group chat or voice messages on WhatsApp groups that have been made specifically for learning Cultural and Arts. The training and practice stages are not optimal because the activities cannot be directly controlled by the teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the application of Suzuki method is in violin learning at Gilang Ramadhan Studio Band Padang. This research belongs to a descriptive research which produces qualitative data. The data were obtained during the learning process through interviews conducted to violin instructors at Gilang Ramadhan Studio Band (GRSB) Padang, as well as documentation containing photos during the violin learning process at Gilang Ramadhan Studio Band (GRSB) Padang. Based on the results, the use of Suzuki method in the violin learning process at Gilang Ramadhan Studio Band has not been fully applied. This can be seen in the implementation of learning where there are no group games or group exercises, and there is no CD playing so that it causes the violin learning process to be hampered. Some of the Suzuki method have been applied in the violin learning process at Gilang Ramadhan Studio Band (GRSB) Padang. These include giving music education starting at an early age, rehearsing song material repeatedly, listening to music before playing it, and reading block notation using fingers.

Abstract

AbstractThe aims of this study is to describe the implementation of the extracurricular Drumband in SMPN 15 Padang. The type of research used is qualitative research that emphasizes the qualitative descriptive approach. This means that research data in accordance with existing on the object under study, the activity drumband in SMPN 15 Padang. The research data was collected by observation, interview, and documentation through data collecting instrument in the form of stationery and photo media / video recording data. The findings of the study indicate that although drumband practice at SMPN 15 Padang is well managed, there is a problem in the student participation in this activity. At the beginning of recruitment participants, usually students who are interested to follow drumband quite a lot. But over time many do not continue keiikutsernya it. After being reviewed in the field, the problem of lack of competing activities, lack of coach condition, and equipment that is not well maintained is the problem point in the extracurricular activities of Drumband at SMPN 15 Padang.Keywords: Implementation, extracurricular activities, Drum Band

Abstract

            Purposed of this research is to decribe forms  presentation about art of Baruda on khatam Al-quran in Ladang laweh, Lintau Buo Utara, Tanah Datar. This research useg qualitative forms with descriptive method. An object of research is: presentation of Baruda on khatam Al-quran in Ladang Laweh, Lintau Buo Utara, Tanah Datar. Data collection is doing by library studied, observation, inteview, video record, voice record dan  photography. Processing data useg by  qualitative analysis. From an analyzing found that presentation of Baruda on khatam Al-quran in Ladang Laweh, Lintau Buo Utara, Tanah Datar consist of: amount of nine players byarrack forms, useg musical instrument of Rebana, a song to accompanied Rebana was read by Barzanji, position players Baruda is in back part of line khatam Al-quran. Costume useg an uniform like a moeslim clothes or batik clothes.
