Abstract

Abstract The purpose of Rabab Badoi art study is to describe the existence of Rabab Badoi in the jorong Pamatang Anjung community, Nagari Muaro, Sijunjung Regency. This type of study was qualitative with using descriptive method that was to provide clearly about the object under study. The main instrument in this study was the researcher and it was assisted by using camera, stationery and interview lists. Techniques of data management were done by analyzing, classifying primary and secondary data and then compiling them systematically. The result of this study is the existence of Rabab Badoi Art in the terms of theirs use and function in jorong Pamatang Anjung, Nagari Muaro, Sijunjung Regency. Based on the aspect of the use, Rabab Badoi Art is played on the elevation of Pangulu, Bakau and Request of the Local Government. The functions of Rabab Badoi art were as emotional expression, communication, entertainment, community continuity.Keywords: existence, use, function, Rabab Badoi art

Abstract

Abstract This study was aimed to describe how process of cultural art learning in SMA Negeri 1 Nan Sabaris. In activity, teacher had important role to get the purpose of the study. Teacher had to hold the learning refer to the plan as a reference. Type of this study was qualitative with analitycal descriptive method. The main instrument of this study was the researcher. The assisted tools used in this study were stationery, camera and audio recorder. This study used two data, they were primary and secondary. Moreover, technique of data collection were done by using library research, observation, interview and documenntation. Result of this study showed that the learning of cultural art in SMA Negeri 1 Nan Sabaris had not been accomplished well yet. It was caused in the learning process of cultural art, there was still an irregularity. In cultural art learning in SMA Negeri 1 Nan Sabaris, teacher had to refer to the existing plan, but it was not equipped by adequating facilities. In order to reach the purpose of the study, the school needed to accomplish the facilities which were needed in the learning. Keywords  :  Facilities in cultural art learning

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study is to describe results of the analysis of creative Piring Dance at Syofyani's studio in the Case Study of Dance Accompaniment which is viewed from the relationship of the dance movements to the music rhythm. This type of research was qualitative research with using a content analysis approach. The instrument of this research was the researcher and it was assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery, camera and laptop. The types of data used were primary and secondary data. Techniques of data collection were conducted by doing library research, observation, interviews and documentation. The steps to analyze data were done by collecting data, listening to audio recording, playing music, transcribing and analyzing scores. The result shows that music and Piring dance is made based on "Alam Takambang Takambang jadi Guru", therefore the process that is passed by imagining (visualizing) the movement of the dance , it is like stretching a shade (weaving place) then describing the movement above the shade. Music and Piring Dance are also made based on the nuance of music and dance that are presented and related in rhythmic between music and dance. Based on the rhythmic relationship between music and dance, there are several parts of music and dance that have strong accents so that it support the rhythm that is shown from music and dance from the intro section, core A and B and their variations. B rhythmic which is used in music uses more of a 2/4 with a different tempo from the beginning to the final climax. Keywords: analysis, creative Piring dance, syofyani studio, dance accompaniment music.

Abstract

Abstract This work aims to display the creativity of female students in school, and it can be a reference for teachers in developing talents, interests and creativities of female students. The form of this artwork is percussion ensemble, the author will combine the rhythmic patterns of single stroke, double stokes, and triols in 4/4 hours with a simple form. It does not only focus on the instrument itself, the author will also combine with vowels to build atmosphere. Percussion ensemble is a musical composition that is adopted from the game of similar percussion instrument, such execution is very interesting because there is no melody instrument here. the incorporation of the rhythmic pattern of single stroke percussion instrument, dooble stokes, and triols can show a rhythm by exploring it into the percussion instruments used. Percussion ensemble is played by six players that consist of two tambua players, one snare drum player, one floor drum player, one cymbal and cowbell player, one bongo player and one of triangel player.Keywords: Ansamble Perkusi

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to find and describe the existence of Kompang art in Pasir Pengaraian, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau, which is seen from its use and function. This research method was qualitative. Techniques of data collection were done by taking: 1) Literature study, 2) Observation, 3) Interview, 4) Documentation. Data analysis was classified according to the focus of the study, after being separated then they were arrangedsystematically. The result shows that in its existence, the Kompang art in Pasir Pengaraian, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau is used only as a medium to broadcast and spread Islam. However, along with the current development era, this art can beperformed in various events in Pasir Pengaraian, Rokan Hulu, Riau such as in the Prophet's birthday, weddingprocession, shaving (cutting hair on infants) and welcoming grand guests. Based on these uses, Kompang art has five functions for the community of Pasir Pengaraian Rokan Hulu Riau Regency, namely: (1) the function of emotional expression, (2) the function of communication, (3) the function of entertainment, (4) the function of continuity of cultural norms, (5) ) the function of ratification of social institutions. Based on its use and function, it can be seen that there is a  high response from the community ofPasir Pengaraian, Rokan HuluRegency towards Kompang art activities in the Pasir Pengaraian, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau so that its existence is always recognized as traditional art with Islamic nuance as one of the cultural heritages of Islam in the life of the community of Pasir Pengaraian, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau.Keywords:  the use, the function, kompang art, the parade bride event

Abstract

Abstract This music work is an innovative art taken from Pado-pado rhytm in Saluang Pauah show. This music work was was arranged based on the consept of the rhytm and melody combination of any traditional music tools (Saluang Pauah, talempong, canang, adok, djembe) and modern ones (Bass, electric guitar, piano, percussion set, conga, violin, viola and cello). Technically, the melody of Pado-pado is used as the main melody which was further developed into three compositions. Kata Kunci: Karya Seni, Gurau, Pauah, Saluang Pauah

Abstract

This study aims to describe the Ritual art of Balota Palapah Pisang on Eid Al-Fitr in Bukit Bais Village, IX Koto Sungai Lasi District, Solok Regency. This research belongs to a descriptive research using qualitative research method. The research instrument was the researcher itself, and it was assisted by supporting instruments such as writing tools and cameras. The data were collected through literature study, observation, interview, and documentation. The steps of analyzing data were collecting the data, describing the data, and making conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the art of Balota Palapah Pisang is a performing art which was born, grew, and developed in the community of IX Koto Sungai Lasi, Solok Regency, and continues to be maintained even though it has stopped for a long time. The performance in Eid al-Fitr holiday is one of the most important events due to the fact that the Balota performance is the highlight of all games existed in the community. Balota Palapah Pisang art is performed at the first day of Eid al-Fitr in order to welcome it. Palapah Pisang Balota Ritual art has undergone a change in its performance. The art which was previously performed by making offerings at the beginning of the game is now no longer in use. Moreover, the art that was once considered as a mystical ritual is now only performed as a mean of entertainment for the community.

Abstract

Abstract The music arrangement of Talago Biru was inspired by (1) the melody of accompaniment music in dance performance and as an instructional material in the Dendang course. The purpose of this artwork is (2) to clarify that the musical arrangement is a new model of music arrangement based the writer’s ability and to add more value of an artwork without eliminating the main idea or the core of Talago Biru Music arrangement. The form presented in this artwork is (3) the combination of traditional music (dendang) with western musical styles that have been tied to the bars pattern without eliminating the typical character of dendang   Kata kunci : Model garapan baru, Musik Tradisonal, Musik Modern.

Abstract

Abstract Eliciting and giving appreciation to society especially among the students toward traditional music, the lack of insight of educators in educational institutions makes students less knowledge about their traditional culture. The artist was interested in working a music project that based on talempong pacik learning in non public school art into the form of music school composition. The school of music is a music that is played by the students together in school and contains the education values. If it is seen from the level of difficulty, the artist provided material to be played which was match to the ability possessed by students of the school. It encouraged the artist to explore Cak Dindin song,  working on rhythm and melody in talempong pacikgua cak dindin into an art work form of creative music composition entitle Doak Dindin inspired by one of the repertoires of talempong pacik born in Minangkabau into some elements and techniques of farming out music that exists on the theory of Western music like unisono, interloking, proposta, riposta, singkopasi as well as using major and minor tones and the presence of diminusi and augmentation of the tone. This art work was played by the 8 players of musical instruments, namely talempong dasar, talempong paningkah, talempong anak, talempong rea, gandang tambua, sarunai, guitar, rapa'i and cymbals. Keywords: talempong, schools, cultural arts, composition

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the existence of Wayang Kulit art in Jorong Suka Bakti, South Solok Regency seen from the function and use of Wayang Kulit art in Javanese society in Jorong Suka Bakti. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive analysis method. The main instrument in this research is the researcher himself and is assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery and camera. Data collection techniques were carried out by literature study, observation, interviews, and documentation. The steps to analyze the data are collecting data, describing the data, and making conclusions. Puppet art in Jorong Suka Bakti is a traditional Javanese art that developed outside the area of origin of the Javanese people. The results and discussion in this article contain the use of Wayang Kulit art in the Javanese people of Jorong Suka Bakti in; village cleansing rituals; circumcision events; and wedding ceremonies. Wayang Kulit also functions as a vehicle for expression; social entertainment function; the function of the media that reflects the norms and aesthetic values as well as the economic function in supporting the necessities of life.
