Abstract

Total Phenol and Antioxidant Activity Of Soni Skin Steeping Extract (Dillenia serrata Thunb). This study aims to find out phenolic levels and antioxidant activity of Soni Stem Skin Steeping (Dillenia serrata Thunb). The total levels of phenolics contained in soni stem skin steeping are determined by the reagent folin cioelteau, sodium carbonate with gallic acid as a comparison, while its antioxidant activity with the DPPH method. The skin of the soni stem used is the skin of the dried soni stem that has been smoothed. As much as 20 g of soni stem bark powder brewed with hot water dispenser, brewing is done 3 times with the first brewing volume of 80 mL, secondly 60 mL, last 20 mL using solvents sourced from the dispenser. Powder extract from steeping the skin of the soni stem is then collected so that the volume of the soni stem steeping sample is obtained as much as 150 mL. Extract results in steeping of soni stem skin, determined by total phenolic level and antioxidant activity. The total phenolic level of stem skin is 17.06 AGE/gram. Soni bark steeping extract has very weak antioxidant activity with IC50 value of 2,377,5925 ± 0.2031 ppm.

Abstract

Toxicity Test of Soni (Dillenia serrata Thunb) Bark Bark Ethanol Extract has been conducted using the BSLT (Brine Shrimph Lethality Test) Method. This study aims to determine the toxicity of the Soni (Dillenia serrata Thunb) Bark Ethanol Extract extract. The secondary metabolites contained in the ethanol extract of Batang Soni Bark were determined by the phytochemical method, while the toxicity of the extract was determined by the BSLT method. Soni bark used is dry soni bark that has been mashed. A total of 500 g of soni bark was macerated for 3x24 hours with 96% ethanol solvent that had been distilled. The filtrate was then collected and concentrated to obtain a thick extract of 80.05 g. Soni bark ethanol extract was tested for phytochemical and toxicity. Phytochemical test results showed that the ethanolic extract of soni bark contains flavonoids, steroids, triterpenoids, polyphenols, and tannins. Soni bark ethanol extract has a very strong toxicity with an LC50 value of 18.62 ppm

Abstract

Research on Phytochemicals and Antiradical Activities of DPPH infusion of Salam Leaf (Syzygium polyanthum Wight) has been carried out. This study aims to determine the phytochemical description of infusion of bay leaf (Syzygium polyanthum Wight), to determine the operating time in determining the antiradical activity of infusion of bay leaf (Syzygium polyanthum Wight) and to describe the anti-radical activity of DPPH steeped bay leaf (Syzygium polyanthum Wight). The methods used to test the secondary metabolites of bay leaf are phytochemical and anti-radical test with DPPH. A total of 5 grams of bay leaves were then extracted by infusion method with 3 repetitions in a row using water as a solvent. The filtering results were collected and the volume of bay leaf steeping was 90 mL with the extracted sample concentration of 1,264,835 ppm. The extract was then tested for Phytochemical, operating time test and anti-radical test. The results of the phytochemical test showed that the infusion of bay leaves contained flavonoids, saponins, tannins and polyphenols. The operating time test results showed that the time for the active compound in the sample and the DPPH radical to interact perfectly was at 30 minutes which gave a stable absorbance of 0.449. The results of the antioxidant activity test using the DPPH method showed that the infusion of bay leaves (Syzygium polyanthum Wigh) was classified as very weak with an IC50 value of 259.058 ppm.

Abstract

Phytochemical Tests and Antioxidant Activity of Moringa Leaf (Moringa oleifera) Methanol Extract Through Maceration Extraction Research has been carried out. This study aims to determine the secondary metabolites and antioxidant activity of Moringa Leaf Methanol Extract (Moringa oleifera). Secondary metabolite compounds contained in the ethanol extract of Moringa leaves were determined by the phytochemical method, while the antioxidant activity was determined by the DPPH method. Moringa leaves used are dried Moringa leaves that have been mashed. A total of 750 g of soni leaves were macerated for 3x24 hours with methanol as solvent. The extracts were then collected and concentrated to obtain a thick extract of 139.5668 g. The extracts were tested for phytochemicals and antioxidants. Phytochemical test results showed that the methanol extract of Moringa leaves contains alkaloids, flavonoids, steroids, saponins and polyphenols. The methanolic extract of Moringa leaves has a weak antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 290.10 ppm.

Abstract

Research has been done Antioxidant Activity Test of n-Hexane and Ethyl Acetate Fractions of Moringa Leaves (Moringa oleifera). The aim of this study for knowing what types of secondary metabolites are contained in the n-hexane and ethyl acetate fractions as well as the antioxidant activity of the n-hexane and ethyl acetate fractions of Moringa leaves. The secondary metabolites contained in the n-hexane and ethyl acetate fractions of Moringa leaves were determined by the phytochemical method, while the antioxidant activity was tested by the DPPH method. Leaf Moringa used is dried Moringa leaves that have been mashed. From 500 grams of finely powdered Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera), macerated with 2,000 mL methanol for 3x24 hours, obtained as much as 139.57 grams of methanol thick extract. Then proceed with fractionation using the liquid-liquid partition method. As much 30 grams of macerated methanol viscous extract is dissolved in 100 mL of distilled water. The solution was then partitioned by adding 100 mL of n-hexane, shaken in a separating funnel and allowed to stand until there are two layers. The distilled water layer was re-partitioned with ethyl acetate in the same way and evaporated so that obtained n-hexane fraction as much as 1.88 grams and 1.66 grams of ethyl acetate. Phytochemical test results showed that the n-hexane fraction contained alkaloids, steroids and saponins. While the ethyl acetate fraction contains alkaloids, steroids, saponins, tannins and polyphenols. The results showed that the n-hexane fraction mhas antioxidant activity which is classified as very weak with an IC50 value of 299.80 ppm and the ethyl acetate fraction have strong antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 57.98 ppm.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X IPA pada materi pokok ikatan kimia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektivitas model pembelajaran discovery learning dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar serta respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran discovery learning pada materi ikatan kimia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu pre-eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one-group pretest-postest design. Pertama pemberian pretest kemudian pemberian perlakuan discvery learning setelah itu pemberian posttest. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui pemberian pretes dan posttest yang berupa soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 butir soal, lembar observasi pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik pre-test sebelum diajar dengan discovery learning adalah 27,7 meningkat menjadi 78,8 pada posttest dengan nilai N-gain 0,71 merupakan kriteria tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.
