Abstract

This research aims to develop a PBL (Problem-Based Learning) oriented flipbook in improving factual and conceptual knowledge. The problem of this research is the low learning outcomes of students on factual and conceptual knowledge. The purpose of this study was to design and test the effectiveness of PBL-oriented flipbooks in improving students' factual and conceptual knowledge. This research uses a 4D development approach (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The Define stage involves identifying the needs, objectives, and context of the study. The Design stage involves designing the initial design of the product or model to be developed. The Develop stage involves the implementation and development of the product or model. The Disseminate stage involves disseminating and evaluating the product or model to relevant stakeholders. The results of flipbook development research show that PBL-oriented flipbook digital teaching materials are feasible to use. Student response was positive, with 91% of students meeting the criteria for either. This teaching material has also proven effective in improving factual and conceptual knowledge, as shown by the average N-gain score in the experimental class of 0.63 (medium category), while in the control class it was only 0.20 (low category). The conclusion of flipbook development research shows that PBL-oriented flipbook digital teaching materials are worth using. Student response is positive, and effective for improving factual and conceptual knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of the material, language, design, teacher and student responses, as well as the effectiveness of the product resulting from the development of an RME-based e-module using the "Prince Duayu" house to improve problem solving skills for grade IV SD. This research is an ADDIE Research and Development (R&D) model. The subjects were students of SDN 4 Bengkulu Selatan, The instruments used were interview guides, questionnaires, and problem-solving ability tests in the form of essay questions through the pretest and posttest.. The data analysis technique in this study was validation analysis using Aiken's V and Interrater Reliability, teacher and student responses, as well as quantitative analysis using the T-test. The results of validating material, language, design, as well as teacher and student responses to e-modules are very appropriate and well used in learning so that students are happy and interested in learning mathematics in flat shape material. The results of the effectiveness of the e-module are effective in solving students' mathematical problems. Judging from the results of the significance value, which is 0.01, it is smaller than α = 0.05. Based on the gain-score test from the use of the e-module, it gives a moderate gain score of 47%. Thus, the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students who use e-modules based on the RME model using the "Prince Duayu" house are higher than students who only use textbooks from school so that they are declared effective.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of the Discovery Learning (DL) model assisted by Interactive Multimedia on students' higher-order thinking skills in the topic of Puberty for sixth-grade students. This research is quantitative in nature, which means it utilizes numerical data collection and analyzes it using statistics, data interpretation, and presentation of research findings to determine the relationship between two variables. The results of the study indicate a significant improvement in students' higher-order thinking skills when using the DL model assisted by media. Hypothesis testing shows a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores in both groups, with an increase of approximately 46% in the moderate category for the ability to identify problems. The mean scores of students' pretest and posttest higher-order thinking skills increased from 53.35 to 74.95. Although there was an improvement, students' higher-order thinking skills still fall into the moderate category. This study concludes that the implementation of the DL model assisted by media has a significant impact on students' higher-order thinking skills; however, more practice and experimentation are needed to enhance these abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to Produce Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) oriented worksheets to improve the high-level thinking skills of grade IV elementary school students. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The research subjects were fourth grade students at SD Negeri Kuto Tanjung. The feasibility of POE-oriented LKPD is based on the validation results that have been carried out by experts on the material, media and language aspects of predict-observe-explain (POE) oriented LKPD. In the material aspect, it is declared very feasible at 0.86. In the media aspect, it is declared very feasible at 0.85. In the language aspect, it is declared very feasible at 0.86. So that the predict-observe-explain (POE) oriented LKPD on the source material is feasible for use in learning activities. Based on the results of the student response questionnaire to the predict-observe-explain (POE) oriented LKPD on energy sources material that was given to fourth grade students at SD Negeri Kuto Tanjung, the results obtained were 77.24% in the very good category. Predict-observe-explain (POE) oriented worksheets can improve students' higher- order thinking skills indicated by a standard gain value of 0.31 in the medium category.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) Produce POE-based science learning modules to improve students' understanding of concepts and science process skills in class V. (2) Describe the feasibility of POE-based science learning modules developed for fifth grade students. (3) Know the increase in students' conceptual understanding class V on heat and displacement material after using the POE-based science learning module. (4) Knowing the increase in science process skills of class V students after using POE-based science learning modules. This type of research is a Research and Development (R&D) development procedure that will be carried out referring to the ADDIE model research and development procedure. The research subjects were fifth grade students of SD Negeri Napallicin. Based on the results of the analysis of the feasibility assessment of the module by experts on the POE-based science learning module, linguists gave an average rating of 0.85, material experts gave an average rating of 0.88 and media experts rated it with an average of 0. 87. From the overall expert assessment, an average score of 0.87 is categorized as quite high or can be said to be valid and can be tried out with several revisions according to suggestions and input from experts. Based on the independent test table on the equal variances assumed section, it is known that the significance value is 0.023 <0.05. This indicates that the use of POE-based science learning modules has an effect on students' understanding of concepts. The significance value of the results of the science processing skills test was obtained 0.025 <0.05. This indicates that the use of POE-based science learning modules has an effect on students' science process skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of student worksheets based on Realistic Mathematics Education on approximations that are valid, feasible, effective, and improve the Mathematical literacy skills of grade IV students. This research is research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. The subjects in the study was grade IV students at SD Negeri 6 Muara Rupit. The research instrument used validation sheets, student response questionnaire sheets and question test sheets. Data from the development of student worksheets were then analyzed using Gregory calculations and interrater reliability, student responses were analyzed using the Guttman scale with the checklist method as well as quantitative analysis using the t-test. From this study it is known that language validation, material and presentation of student worksheets are very suitable for use in learning, so that students are happy and interested in following the lesson. Based on the N-Gains test using LKPD, 37.5% of students got an N-gain score with high criteria, and 62.5% got an N-gain score with medium criteria. So that the Mathematical literacy skills of students who use RME-based worksheets using the "Muratara" tourism context are declared effective.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the logical feasibility, empirical and numeracy ability profile of students. Product development of the Minimum Competency Assessment (MCA)  numerical instrument PISA model with the context of Musi Rawas for 5th grade Elementary School. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) study and used the ADDIE model. The subjects of the research was the 5th grade students of SDN 1 Terawas, totaling 20 students to test eligibility empirically, and the 5th grade students of SDN Pasenan, totaling 18 students to analyze the profile of numeracy abilities. The numerical MCA consists of 17 questions in the form of multiple choice, complex multiple choice, and matching which are arranged using the MCA numeracy cognitive level and PISA 1-3 levels. Data data logically validity results has an index of more than 0.4 and is declared valid and logical. The results of empirical validity are 16 valid questions and 1 invalid question. The reliability value is 0.89 as "very high" category. Then the resulting product is 16 questions that are empirically feasible. For the analysis of the numeracy ability profile obtained from the average student numeracy MCA test scores based on the scores of each MCA level and PISA numeracy level it is known that the average student score at level 1 (comprehension) is 64, level 2 (implementation) the average student score namely 69, level 3 (reasoning) the average value of students is 57.

Abstract

Efforts that can be made to improve the quality and learning outcomes of elementary school students include using appropriate learning strategies. One of them is a learning strategy with concept maps. This study aims to determine the effect of using learning strategies with concept maps on the mastery of factual and conceptual knowledge in the Water Cycle material for fifth grade students. This research is a quantitative study. The method used is the experimental method, with a quasi-experimental design research type. The instruments provided consisted of 10 factual knowledge dimensions and 10 conceptual questions. Data collection techniques were carried out using test and non-test techniques. Data analysis techniques consist of quantitative data analysis and qualitative data analysis. The results showed that there was a difference in the increase in factual knowledge mastery between the experimental and control classes by 22.14% and conceptual knowledge by 17.78%. It can be concluded that a) There is a significant effect (a = 5%) using learning strategies with concept maps on the mastery of factual knowledge. b) There is a significant effect (a = 5%) using learning strategies with concept maps on the mastery of conceptual knowledge. c) There is no significant difference between the mastery of factual and conceptual knowledge through the use of learning strategies with concept maps in the Water Cycle material for fifth grade students.

Abstract

This research is an ADDIE Research and Development (R&D) model. The data analysis technique in this study was validation analysis using Aiken's V and Inter-rater Reliability, student responses, and quantitative analysis using the T-test. The results of material validation, language and design as well as students' responses to e-modules are very feasible and well used in learning so that students are happy and interested in learning Natural Sciences (IPA) on energy sources material. The results of the effectiveness of e-modules are effective on students' cognitive abilities. seen from the results of the significance value, which is 0.002, which is smaller than α = 0.05. Based on the N-gain score test from the use of the E-Module, it gave a low gain score, namely the control class, 18% and the results for the moderate gain score, namely the experimental class, 34%. So that the cognitive knowledge of students using the E-Module as an energy source based on Discovery Learning is declared effective.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of the material, language, design, student responses, and the effectiveness of products developed from environment-based worksheets to increase knowledge of the water cycle and its impacts for fifth graders of elementary school. This research is an ADDIE Research and Development (R&D) model. To measure the effectiveness of knowledge of the water cycle and its impact, tests were carried out twice, namely before and after learning took place in the control and experimental classes. The results of material validation, language, design and students' responses to environment-based worksheets are very appropriate and well used in learning so that students are happy and interested in learning science on the water cycle material and its impacts. The results of the effectiveness of the effectiveness of LKPD on knowledge of the water cycle and its impact on students. Judging from the results of the significance that is 0.008 is smaller than α = 0.05. Based on the gain score test from the use of LKPD, the results of the gain score were moderate, namely the control class was 47% and the experimental class was 59%. Thus, knowledge of the water cycle and its impacts using an environmentally based LKPD is declared effective.
