Abstract

Terjadinya pandemi COVID-19 menimbulkan dampak negatif pada kesehatan mental di kalangan mahasiswa, yaitu depresi. Berubahnya kondisi dan situasi hidup menempatkan mahasiswa harus mampu menyesuaikan diri dengan cepat terhadap segala perubahan yang terjadi pada saat dan sesudah pandemi. Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan tingkat depresi pada mahasiswa di saat dan sesudah pandemi COVID-19. Tujuh puluh enam mahasiswa menyelesaikan Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) untuk mengukur depresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 24 mahasiswa (32%) yang mengalami depresi ringan, 24 orang (32%) pada kategori depresi sedang, dan 9 orang (12%) pada kategori berat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan jumlah mahasiswa yang mengalami depresi. Situasi pasca pandemi yang telah berangsur-angsur pulih ternyata tidak serta merta menurunkan tingkat depresi pada mahasiswa. Perubahan dan pengalaman yang terjadi saat pandemi COVID-19 memberi tekanan psikologis yang panjang pada mahasiswa hingga pandemi usai. Sehingga, terjadi peningkatan depresi pada mahasiswa di semua kategori, yaitu ringan, berat, dan sedang. Kata kunci: depresi, mahasiswa, pandemi

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini didasari adanya kebutuhan guru-guru sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Boyolali untuk meningkatkan kemampuan manajemen bimbingan dan konseling, khususnya keterampilan asesmen dan layanan anak berkebutuhan khusus. Metode kegiatan terbagi dalam tiga tahap utama, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan kegiatan dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa semua peserta pelatihan sangat antusias selama mengikuti kegiatan dan dapat menerima pemahaman dan keterampilan layanan anak berkebutuhan khusus dengan baik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of parenting styles on the learning motivation of Grade X students at SMK Diponegoro. The parenting styles examined in this study are based on Diana Baumrind’s (1966) theory, which includes authoritarian, authoritative (democratic), and permissive parenting styles. The research method used is quantitative with a simple linear regression approach. The sample consisted of 102 students selected through purposive sampling. The results showed that parenting styles significantly influence students’ learning motivation. The regression analysis revealed an R Square value of 0.932, indicating that 93.2% of the variation in learning motivation can be explained by parenting styles. Among the three types of parenting analyzed, the authoritative (democratic) style had the most dominant and significant influence on students’ motivation. In contrast, authoritarian and permissive parenting styles did not show significant effects. These findings align with Baumrind’s theory, which suggests that the authoritative parenting style balancing control and warmth tends to encourage children to be independent and motivated in learning.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the significance of the influence of the use of online games on the emotional intelligence of class XI adolescent students at SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga. This research is a causal comparative research with data analysis techniques using simple linear regression and an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence on online game playing behavior on students' emotional intelligence with the contribution of the online game playing behavior variable (X) to students' emotional intelligence (Y) amounting to 54.2%, the remainder (45.8%) comes from from other variables not examined in this study, then tcount is greater than ttable, namely 10.870 > 3.390 and the significance value of t is less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05) and significance coefficient 0.000 < 0.050.

Abstract

In life, everyone must of course recognize and know their true identity. After recognizing and knowing about one's identity, humans will know the abilities they possess. This ability is what humans will use to develop and continue their lives, especially in terms of work or career. Choosing a career is a very crucial decision in life, because if the choice is not appropriate it will have a bad impact on life. Therefore, career selection must be based on personality type. This research was conducted with the aim of finding out the significance of the relationship between personality type and career choices of class X students at SMK Negeri 1 Salatiga. The subjects in this research were class X students of SMK Negeri 1 Salatiga, totaling 205 respondents who were used as samples. The data collection method used is using questionnaires. The analysis technique used is the Contingency Coefficient with the help of the SPSS application. 20. Based on the research results showing that there is a significant relationship between Personality Type and Career Choice, it can be proven by the Asimp.Sig value of 0.000 < 0.05, it can be concluded that H1 is accepted. This can also be interpreted that a person's personality type has a correlation with a person's career choice. The approximate significance (P-Value) value of 0.000 is smaller than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between Personality Type and students' Career Choices. The correlation value obtained is 0.569, which means that the strength of the relationship between personality type and career choice is sufficient.

Abstract

This research was conducted at Rumah Pintar Salatiga. The study aims to determine how the parenting pattern of parents to children with special needs autism. This type of research is qualitative with a case study technique with a focus on parents who have children with special needs autism. The data analysis technique uses Pattern Matching data analysis, and the data collection techniques used are interviews and observations. The results of the interviews that have been conducted, parents who have children with autism apply permissive and authoritative parenting patterns. The conclusion of this study is that parents with authoritative parenting patterns will give children freedom while still providing direction and supervision to children, while parents with permissive parenting patterns provide freedom without supervision and assertiveness to children.

Abstract

Career introduction is an essential first step in the career planning process for students. This study aims to develop an engaging and user-friendly quartet card game as a career introduction tool for elementary school students. The research follows the Research and Development (R&D) methodology. The study resulted in a career card game designed to introduce career concepts to elementary students. The media expert evaluation scored the game 100, categorizing it as 'excellent,' while the material expert evaluation scored 84, categorizing it as 'good.' Additionally, limited trials showed that before the intervention, 28.18% of students had a 'low' level of career introduction, whereas after the intervention, 95.46% reached a 'very high' level. Based on these findings, the career card game is concluded to be an effective tool for supporting career introduction in elementary schools.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi digital orang tua, pemahaman karakteristik generasi digital, keterampilan komunikasi positif, serta penerapan disiplin positif dalam pengasuhan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Pusat Pengembangan Anak (PPA) IO0969 Samuel melalui seminar dan workshop interaktif yang melibatkan 201 orang tua. Strategi pelaksanaan mencakup penyampaian materi, diskusi kelompok, dan simulasi, sementara evaluasi dilakukan melalui diskusi reflektif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman karakteristik Generasi Z dan Alpha, kemampuan mengatur screen time, serta keterampilan komunikasi dan disiplin positif. Kegiatan ini juga memperkuat kolaborasi antara lembaga dan orang tua agar pembinaan anak selaras dan berkelanjutan. Kesimpulannya, edukasi parenting di era digital efektif meningkatkan kapasitas orang tua dalam mendampingi anak, mengurangi risiko dampak negatif teknologi, serta mendukung perkembangan holistik anak dari aspek kognitif, sosial-emosional, dan spiritual. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya intervensi edukatif yang terstruktur bagi orang tua dalam menghadapi tantangan zaman digital untuk menciptakan lingkungan tumbuh kembang anak yang sehat.

Abstract

Emerging adult students face complex adaptation challenges that demand effective decision-making abilities. This study aims to examine the mediating role of depression in the relationship between resilience and decision-making styles. Using a quantitative correlational design, data were collected from 70 college students through purposive sampling. The instruments employed included the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II), and the General Decision-Making Style (GDMS) inventory. Mediation analysis using the PROCESS Macro Model 4 revealed that resilience was negatively correlated with depression (r = -0.612) and positively correlated with decision-making style (r = 0.559). The mediation test confirmed that depression serves as a partial mediator (indirect effect 0.419;95% CI [0.267, 0.570]). These findings underscore that resilience enhances decision-making quality both directly and indirectly by reducing depressive symptoms
