Abstract

A research named "Analysis of Financial Behaviour of Overseas Students, Economic Education Study Programme, Indonesian Education University" aims to examine the spending patterns of international students who put their desires before their necessities. Using a quantitative approach, this study describes the experiences of international students at Indonesian Education University's Economic Education programme. Students living in boarding homes or unaccompanied minors from outside the Bandung area are its intended recipients. In order to gather data, 62 students from the 2022 and 2023 cohorts of Economic Education were chosen at random from a pool of potential respondents. The survey, which looked at four markers of financial behaviour (account ownership, cash flow management, spending planning, and saving and investing behaviours), was carried out in April 2024.To determine how well the obtained data matched the specified indicators, descriptive statistics were used in the data analysis process. Overseas students enrolled in the Economic Education programme show signs of having intermediate financial behaviour skills, which might mean they're having trouble keeping their day-to-day money in order. The study's overarching goal is to provide these students with a framework for better managing their money.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of lecturers' competence and peer support on students' academic resilience, with self-efficacy as a mediating variable. Motivated by rising dropout rates and academic stress in higher education, this research addresses inconsistencies in prior findings on the personal and environmental factors that affect academic resilience. A quantitative explanatory survey was conducted with 285 students in West Java, using a 7-point rating scale questionnaire analyzed through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results indicated that academic resilience and self-efficacy were at moderate levels, while lecturers' competence and peer support were categorized as high. Lecturers' competence, peer support, and self-efficacy affected academic resilience of 0.67, in the strong category. Lecturers' competence did not significantly affect academic resilience directly but exerted a full mediation effect through self-efficacy. In contrast, peer support demonstrated both significant direct and indirect effects on academic resilience through self-efficacy. These findings confirm that strengthening students' internal psychological aspects, particularly self-efficacy, is a prerequisite for external factors such as lecturers' competence to effectively enhance academic resilience.

Abstract

The birth of the modern era brings positive and negative influences so that nations that are unable to utilize it properly will experience economic inequality in society. There are negative economic influences whose implementation is not based on Pancasila, resulting in low resistance to external influences that prioritize material needs and give rise to greed. This happens because it has not fully implemented the values of Pancasila into the national economy in the modern era. Economic improvement in the modern era is increasingly important to improve people's welfare. Efforts to improve the economy must be fair and prioritize the interests of society, so that everyone can enjoy it. To build harmony in improving the Indonesian economy, it is necessary to implement an economic system development strategy based on Pancasila. Pancasila economics is a concept of thinking about planning in the implementation of the national economy within a framework based on the implementation of the values contained in the Pancasila paradigm. The method we use is qualitative. The aim of developing economic growth is to produce broad employment opportunities without inequality.
