Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan media flash cards yang layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca aksara jawa bagi siswa kelas IV SD Muhammadiyah Karangduwet Gunungkidul. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development). Setelah melalui tahap produksi diperoleh produk awal yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media. Perolehan data didapatkan dari observasi, angket, tes dan wawancara. Hasil yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan mengunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa media flash cards pada uji ahli materi dinilai layak (89,13%) dan ahli media dinilai layak (90%). Selain uji ahli, pada uji coba lapangan utama media ini dinilai layak (93,125%) dan saat uji coba lapangan operasional media ini juga dinilai layak (94%). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa media flash cards sudah layak sebagai media pembelajaran utntuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca aksara jawa bagi siswa kelas IV SD Muhammadiyah Karangduwet Gunungkidul.

Abstract

This study examines the competencies of teacher activists in Pacitan District, focusing on their roles and collaborations with the local government to enhance educational development. Teacher activists, often representing key stakeholders in the educational ecosystem, play a pivotal role in shaping policies, implementing educational reforms, and fostering a collaborative spirit with government agencies. The study investigates the skill sets, knowledge, and personal attributes that define effective teacher activists, particularly in the context of local educational governance in Pacitan District. Data were collected through a combination of qualitative interviews, questionnaires, and field observations involving teacher activists, local government officials, and school administrators. The analysis considers competencies such as leadership, communication, policy advocacy, and community engagement, evaluating their impacts on policy implementation, curriculum development, and student outcomes. The results indicate that teacher activists in Pacitan District possess high levels of commitment and are well-versed in local educational policies, yet often lack formal training in public administration and policy advocacy. This skill gap limits their capacity to collaborate effectively with the local government in some instances, resulting in missed opportunities for educational improvements. The study also identifies key areas where teacher activists can enhance their competencies to better fulfill their roles. Notable among these are strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and understanding of government procedures, which are crucial for effective policy advocacy and execution. Strengthening these areas through targeted professional development programs could empower teacher activists to more effectively champion educational causes and influence policy-making at the district level. A significant outcome of this study is the recommendation for a structured, collaborative framework between teacher activists and the local government, with an emphasis on joint decision-making, regular training sessions, and shared objectives. Such a framework could enhance the efficacy of educational policies and ensure that teacher activists’ input is both valued and impactful within the broader educational development agenda of Pacitan District. The study concludes that the competencies of teacher activists significantly influence their ability to cooperate with the local government, impacting educational progress within the district. A mutual understanding of roles, coupled with ongoing professional development, is essential to maximize the potential contributions of teacher activists. This collaborative approach is crucial for driving sustainable educational reforms and fostering a supportive environment for student achievement across Pacitan District schools. Future research should explore the long-term effects of competency-based training on teacher activists' roles and the overall quality of education within similar regional settings, aiming to generalize these findings for broader applicability across Indonesia’s educational landscape.

Abstract

omputational thinking and mathematical reasoning abilities are crucial 21st century skills. However, the results of international studies show that these abilities are still low in Indonesian students. This study aims to test the effectiveness of PISA-based learning in improving the computational thinking and mathematical reasoning abilities of junior high school students.  The PISA Principles are a learning guide released by the OECD to produce globally competent students. The study used a quasi-experimental design with two groups of grade VII junior high school students as subjects. The experimental group received a contextual-based PISA principle learning method, while the control group followed the conventional learning method. The research instrument was a computational thinking and mathematical reasoning ability test. Data were analyzed using a two-sample t-test. The results showed that the contextual-based PISA principle learning method was effective in improving students' mathematical reasoning abilities but was less effective for computational thinking abilities. These findings can be a reference in designing mathematics learning relevant to the demands of the 21st century.  The recommendation from the results of this study is the need for instrument adaptation to measure the dimensions of computational thinking that are more specific to the four main indicators, namely: decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction and algorithms.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektifitas kelas virtual dalam pembelajaran jauh. Jenis penelitian yang akan digunakan adalah jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yaitu bertujuan untuk menggambarkan berbagai situasi atau berbagai variabel yang terjadi dalam kegiatan kelas virtual pda pembelajan jarak jauh. Efektivitas menjadi pedoman atas keberhasilan dari suatu kegiatan pembelajaran. Salah satu peryataan yang ada berisikan tentang proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih efektif saat pembelajaran yang dilakukan menggunakan kelas virtual. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan sebanyak 79,7% mahapeserta didikmerasa setuju dan sangat setuju terkait dengan kelas virtual untuk pembelajaran jarak jauh.
