Abstract

Mathematical communication is very important for students to have. But in fact, based on the observations made, there are still many students who have low mathematical communication skills. This is known based on interviews with several teachers who teach in high schools. For this reason, researchers carried out a treatment by applying a learning strategy that aims to be able to improve students' mathematical communication abilities. This type of research is classroom action research. The class where the research was conducted was class XI IPA 5 at SMAN 1 Painan which consisted of 30 students. Based on the test results, observation and data analysis as well as discussion in the study, it was obtained 1) The average test score in cycle I was 70.71 and cycle II was 81.93. The percentage of class completeness in cycle I was 19.28%. and cycle II of 19.28%. This shows that students' mathematical communication skills in writing have increased but have not yet reached the specified indicators. 2) The total average score of mathematical communication skills in the first cycle was 2.17 in the fairly good category and in the second cycle was 4.78 in the very good category. This shows that students' mathematical communication skills have increased and have reached the specified indicators. 3) The total average score of the results of the KBM observations in the first cycle was 3.04 in the good category and in the second cycle was 4.28 in the very good category. This shows that the teacher's ability to apply cooperative learning type think talk write (TTW).

Abstract

Scholarships are a work program that exists in every college and school. The scholarship program is held to ease the burden on students in taking their studies. STKIP Pesisir Selatan is one example of a university that has many scholarship programs to be distributed to every student and student who is financially underprivileged but has the determination to continue their education and excel during their schooling. The purpose of this research is to process the automatic selection of scholarship recipients using a system through a decision support system combined with the Weigted Product method so that prospective scholarship recipients can be directly determined and will make it easier for universities to determine which prospective students will be selected. Of the 5 samples used, the 3 highest scores obtained with percentages of 0.27 (Meri Anjeli), 0.27 (Ririn Dwi Putri), 0.23 (Fauzia Ramanda) which will be used as guidelines in making decisions on the selection of scholarship recipients.

Abstract

This research started from the fact that there were many spelling errors that were not in accordance with the spelling rules that applied to students' work in writing exposition texts at SMAN 2 Linggo Sari baganti. Thus, it is necessary to conduct a study in the form of an analysis of spelling errors on students' writing results. The purpose of this study was to find out the forms of errors in the use of Indonesian spelling in the exposition texts of class X SMA students along with the stages and forms of justification and to find out the causes of errors in the use of Indonesian spelling in the exposition texts of students' works. This study uses a qualitative type of research using the descriptive method with the aim of analyzing Indonesian spelling errors that appear in exposition texts by class X SMA students. The population in this study amounted to 66 consisting of 22 data sources for class X1 SMA, 22 class X2, and 22 class X3. The data collection used a purposive sampling technique with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documents. The results of the study found 476 spelling errors used by class X students of SMAN LISBA in writing exposition texts. In the use of capital letters with an error of 250 with a percentage of 47%, then errors in writing compound words 5 with a percentage of 1%, errors in writing derivative words 70 with a percentage of 10%, errors in writing prepositions of 40 with a percentage of 6%, use of full stop punctuation errors a number of 90 15%, errors in the use of comma punctuation a number of 111 with a percentage of 16%

Abstract

The phenomenon of bullying leaves quite a lasting psychological impact and seems to be a nightmare for a person's life, especially for victims, especially those who do not have good social adjustments and are rather slow in adapting to their environment. The negative impact experienced by someone who has been a victim of bullying is the main locus and becomes an accentuation and will be elaborated more deeply by researchers. This type of research is qualitative research carried out by observing phenomena that often occur in the campus environment. At least policy holders are able to provide strategic steps as a form of adult responsibility for the psychological and academic development of the nation's future generation. This type of research is qualitative research carried out by observing phenomena that often occur in the campus environment, linked to existing theories as a result of previous research and will be explained in descriptive form. The results of this research are an applicable form of preventing bullying in the campus environment, considering that the campus is one of the laboratories producing Indonesia's next generation.
