Libraries as non-profit institutions cannot stand alone. There needs to be collaborative activities so that they can have a positive impact on each other through various forms. This research aims to determine the activities as a form of collaboration carried out by the Maranatha Christian University Library with the Indonesian Higher Education Library Forum in the West Java region and its impact on librarians. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach method by taking primary data sources through interviews and observations, as well as secondary data sources through literature studies. The data analysis used uses data reduction, data presentation, as well as verification and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that collaboration between university libraries and university library forums can result in 1) collaborative workshop activities to improve the quality of librarians, where in this research the focus is on research data management and visual analysis of institutional repositories 2) the opening of information networks quickly and widely through membership college library forum. The benefits of collaboration have significantly provided positive results for both parties, both the Maranatha Christian University Library and the Indonesian Higher Education Library Forum in the West Java region. Abstract

Background of the study: College libraries as centers for quality knowledge management should strive to optimize their services so as to meet the needs of users.  However, it is not possible for libraries to meet all the needs of their users due to certain limitations, so collaboration is necessary. Purpose: This study explains the implementation of Widyatama and Brawijaya University Library collaboration to optimize their services, including organizational structure and collaboration tools, as well as its impacts. Method: This research uses qualitative descriptive methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and literature studies. Findings: The collaboration uses the MoA and has formed a special unit. In its implementation, there are still some lackings. In addition, this collaboration has had more impact especially related to service quality, such as ease of information access and sharing. Conclusion: College library collaboration can improve the quality of education and research and make the institutions that house them more prime through increasing access and quality of services, efficient management of information resources, and empowering academic libraries. This research makes a new contribution in the understanding and implementation of collaboration between college libraries as an effort to optimize library services.

Abstract

The library is one of the sources of information and science that has an important role in supporting education, research, and the development of society. One of the indicators of success in the library is the high level of interest in visiting librarians. This research aims to find out how much the quality of the service is linked to the interest of visiting librarians in the Bandung City library. The sampling technique in this study used quota samplings, with a quantitative approach to 43,338 library visitors in January – November 2023 and a sample of 300 respondents. An analysis conducted using the Software Statistical Package for The Social or SPSS version 27 resulted from the results of this study that the quality of the service has an influence with the interest of the publisher with the acquisition of numbers of 0.629 or in the level of “strong ” relationship. The highest variable is obtained by the physical evidence (tangible) of 0.506 then followed by reliability of 0.450, assurance of 0,425, responsiveness of 0.406, and finally empathy of 0.376

Abstract

Background: The rapid development of information technology has changed the way people search, access and use information. One of the relevant theories to examine students' information seeking behavior is the ASK (Anomalous State of Knowledge) theory introduced by J. Belkin in 1985. Purpose: This study aims to determine whether Geological Engineering Students who are used as research subjects have static or dynamic knowledge by looking at their information searches which are also static or dynamic. The questionnaire was made online in the form of a Google form and distributed directly via WhatsApp to each respondent. Static information search is likened to silence, only about that topic and continues to revolve around one topic. Dynamic information search is indicated by the development of the topic or information being sought. Methods: This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method which collects respondent data as many as 161 respondents using a questionnaire instrument with individuals as the research sample unit. The quantitative approach is to collect respondent data using a questionnaire instrument with individuals as the research unit.. Results: Based on the results of research conducted on geology students regarding static or dynamic information-seeking behavior which is a study of ASK (Anomalous State of Knowledge) theory, hypothesis testing conducted with Pearson Product Moment correlation testing using SPSS software shows that Geology Students are more dominant in dynamic information seeking. Conclusion: Dynamic knowledge will have an impact on a critical mindset in searching for information and being able to explore and integrate relevant information from various sources to support their information needs.
