Abstract

In the era of Society 5.0, where human and technological collaboration is increasingly intertwined to drive social progress, the effects on human life, particularly adolescents, have been profound. Adolescents, who are in a crucial transitional phase from childhood to adulthood, are naturally curious and vulnerable to both the positive and negative influences of this digital age. This research seeks to explore how Christian Religious Education and Abraham Maslow's concept of self-actualization impact the mental development of adolescents, as an effort to mitigate the negative effects of Society 5.0. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study draws from a range of literature, including e-books, e-journals, and other relevant sources on Christian Religious Education, self-actualization, and mental development. The findings of this research indicate that during this period of heightened curiosity and instability, adolescents are capable of discerning the teachings that should guide their lives and realizing their full potential. Christian Religious Education plays a significant role in fostering mental health among adolescents, while self-actualization is equally critical in helping them maintain mental well-being as they navigate the challenges of Society 5.0.

Abstract

Masa muda adalah masa keemasan, di mana semangat yang membara, kekuatan fisik yang mendukung adalah ciri khas dari seorang pemuda. Namun pada kenyataannya, banyak pemuda yang tidak bisa menahan godaan untuk terus berbuat sesuai keinginan daging, seperti seks bebas. Di sisi lain, orangtua dan pendidik juga menganggap bahwa pendidikan seks adalah sebuah hal yang memalukan, sehingga enggan untuk mengajarkanya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merancang kurikulum dalam meningkatkan kesadaran pemuda Kristen tentang bahaya seks bebas dan bagaimana seharusnya seksual yang benar menurut Alkitab dengan menggunakan desain kurikulum berpusat pada masalah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terciptanya sebuah kurikulum pemuda dalam rangka meningkatkan kesadaran pemuda tentang bahaya seks dan bagaimana hidup dalam kekudusan seksual dengan menggunakan desain kurikulum berpusat pada masalah (Problem Centered Curriculum Design).

Abstract

Culture is a legacy of ancestors that continues to develop, but the integration of religion and culture often causes debate in a society. The Mangongkal Holi ritual of the Toba Batak tribe in North Sumatra is the subject of research in relation to the perspective of Christianity. This research aims to use Durkheim's view of the relationship between religion and culture as a tool to analyze Mangongkal Holi. In addition, the researcher offers the role of Adult Christian Religious Education as a solution regarding the integration of religion and culture in this tradition. The research shows how moral solidarity in Christianity affects the understanding and practice of the Mangongkal Holi tradition. In addition, Adult Christian Religious Education is proposed as an educational method to strengthen the community's understanding of the relationship between religion and this cultural tradition. This approach emphasizes self-direction and the desire for continuous learning as important elements in understanding the integration of religion and culture.
