Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of leadership style and commitment of the university leader on the performance of Serambi Mekkah University’s lecturers. A survey was used as the data collection technique, while path analysis was used as the testing technique. Likert-scale questionnaires with closed-ended questions regarding the effects of leadership and organizational commitment on the lecturers’ performance were employed. The questionnaires had an interval scale and an answer score on each question. It also had five different choices on a continuum line. The population of this research was all lecturers of Serambi Mekkah University, namely 270 lecturers in total, whereas the research sample was 122 lecturers. Data analysis was carried out in two stages, namely descriptive and inferential, using Microsoft Excel 2007. The results showed that there is a positive correlation between leadership (X1) and commitment (X2) on the performance of Serambi Mekkah University’s lecturers (Y). Based on the findings, it can be concluded that leadership and commitment significantly affect the performance of Serambi Mekkah University’s lecturers.

Abstract

This study aims to answer the problems of the five proposed hypotheses, namely: 1) Direct influence of principal leadership on work motivation, 2) Direct influence of principal leadership on work stress, 3) Direct influence of principal leadership on teacher performance, 4) Direct influence work motivation on performance, 5) The direct effect of job stress on performance. This study involved 270 high school teachers in Bireuen Regency who were taken by using proportional random sampling technique. The research instrument used a questionnaire with a Likert scale and the research data processing was analyzed through SPSS and path analysis. The results showed (1) principal leadership had a positive direct effect on work motivation (2) principal leadership had a positive direct effect on job stress (3) principal leadership had a positive direct effect on teacher performance (4) work motivation had a positive direct effect on performance (5) job stress has a positive direct effect on performance. The implication of the research result explains that the principal's leadership, work motivation, job stress and job satisfaction have a positive direct effect on teacher performance. This shows that teacher performance can be improved by increasing principal leadership, work motivation, and work. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan menjawab permasalahan dari lima hipotesis yang diajukan, yaitu: 1) Pengaruh langsung kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap motivasi kerja, 2) Pengaruh langsung kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap stres kerja, 3) Pengaruh langsung kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru, 4) Pengaruh langsung motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja, 5) Pengaruh langsung stres kerja terhadap kinerja. Penelitian ini melibatkan 270 orang guru SMA Negeri Kabupaten Bireuen yang diambil dengan teknik Proportional Random Sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket dengan skala likert dan pengolahan data penelitian dianalisis melalui SPSS dan analisis jalur (path analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukan (1) kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap motivasi kerja (2) kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap stres kerja (3) kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap kinerja guru (4) motivasi kerja berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap kinerja (5) stres kerja berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap kinerja. Implikasi hasil penelitian menjelaskan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, motivasi kerja, stres kerja dan kepuasan kerja berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap kinerja guru. Ini menunjukkan bahwa kinerja guru dapat ditingkatkan dengan meningkatkan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, motivasi kerja, dan stres kerja.

Abstract

English: The principal plays a key role in improving and building responsibility, discipline, and commitment of teachers. Based on these ideas, the focus of this research is how the leadership of school principals in improving teacher performance in SMP Negeri 3 Bireuen. This study aims to get an overview of the principal efforts in increasing responsibility, discipline and commitment in improving the performance of teachers at Junior High School 3 Bireuen. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collected through observation and interviews. The subject of this research is the principal and teacher councils. The results showed that the principal's leadership SMP Negeri 3 Bireuen in improving teacher performance more encouragement and providing necessary facilities. The principal is very little to do training and coaching to improve teacher performance. Efforts to increase the responsibility and discipline of teachers, principals do with providing guidance, supervision, and disciplinary actions in the teaching-learning process. Meanwhile, to improve the school's head teacher's commitment to send teachers to follow the upgrading of teachers and involve teachers in consultation activities subjects (MGMP). Bahasa: Kepala sekolah memegang peranan penting dalam upaya peningkatan dan pembinaan terhadap tanggung jawab, disiplin, dan komitmen guru. Berdasarkan pemikiran tersebut, fokus penelitian ini adalah bagaimana kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru pada SMP Negeri 3 Bireuen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang upaya kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan tanggung jawab, disiplin dan komitmen dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru pada SMP Negeri 3 Bireuen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah dan dewan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah SMP Negeri 3 Bireuen dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru lebih banyak memberikan dorongan dan menyediakan sarana yang dibutuhkan. Kepala sekolah sangat sedikit melakukan pelatihan dan pembinaan untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru. Upaya untuk meningkatkan tanggung jawab dan disiplin guru, kepala sekolah melakukan dengan memberikan pembinaan, pengawasan, dan tindakan dalam disiplin pada proses belajar mengajar. Sedangkan untuk meningkatkan komitmen guru kepala sekolah mengirim guru untuk mengikuti penataran dan melibatkan guru dalam kegiatan musyawarah guru mata pelajaran (MGMP).

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian rendahnya kierja guru di sekolah dilihat dari stres kerja, motivasi dan kepuasan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab pertanyaan utama pengaruh stres kerja, motivasi kerja dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja guru di Sekolah Dasar Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Kuantitif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat pengaruh langsung stres kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja dengan P value dibawah 0,05 dengan original sample sebesar (β) = 0,624 (62,4%), terdapat pengaruh langsung stres kerja terhadap kinerja guru dengan P value dibawah 0,05 dengan original sample sebesar (β) = 0,568 (56,8%), terdapat pengaruh tidak langsung stres kerja terhadap kinerja guru melalui kepuasan kerja dengan original sample sebesar (β) = 0,098 (9,8%), terdapat pengaruh langsung motivasi kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja dengan P value dibawah 0,05 dengan original sample sebesar (β) = 0,852 (85,2%), terdapat pengaruh langsung motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru dengan P value dibawah 0,05 dengan original sample sebesar (β) = 0,379 (37,9%), terdapat pengaruh tidak langsung motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru melalui kepuasan kerja dengan Original Sample sebesar (β) = 0,134 (13,4%) dan terdapat pengaruh langsung kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja guru dengan P value dibawah 0,05 dengan original sampl e sebesar (β) = 0,157 (15,7%).

Abstract

This study aims to find out in Islam, there is no separate discipline from Islamic ethics. As a business that is identical with religious teachings, religious characters in Islam are unique and different from characters outside of Islam. These differences include an emphasis on eternal religious principles, rules and laws in strengthening morality, differences in understanding of the truth, and an emphasis on reward in the afterlife as a motivation for moral behavior. The basis of character formation is good or bad values. Good values ??are symbolized by the value of Angels and bad values ??are symbolized by the value of Satan. Human character is the result of attraction between good values ??in the form of positive energy and bad values ??in the form of negative energy. research originating from books, scientific journals, literatures and other publications that are worthy of being used as sources for research to be studied by the author, by describing and describing the data through several expert opinions.
