Abstract

Hypertension is one of the most common cardiovascular diseases and is most common in society. Hypertension is now a major problem for all of us, not only in Indonesia but in the world, because hypertension is a risk factor for heart disease, kidney failure, diabetes and stroke (Indonesian Ministry of Health, 2019). Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2018 shows that around 1.13 billion people in the world have hypertension, meaning that 1 in 3 people in the world are diagnosed with hypertension. The number of people with hypertension continues to increase every year, it is estimated that by 2025 there will be 1.5 billion people affected by hypertension and it is estimated that every year 10.44 million people die due to hypertension and its complications (Ministry of Health, 2019). Based on Riskesdas 2018, the prevalence of hypertension based on measurement results in the population aged 18 years was 34.1%, the highest in South Kalimantan (44.1%), while the lowest was in Papua (22.2%). Hypertension occurred in the age group 31-44 years (31.6%), age 45-54 years (45.3%), age 55-64 years (55.2%). From the prevalence of hypertension of 34.1%, it is known that 8.8% were diagnosed with hypertension and 13.3% of people diagnosed with hypertension did not take medication and 32.3% did not regularly take medication. This shows that the majority of hypertension sufferers do not know that they have hypertension and therefore do not receive treatment (Ministry of Health, 2019).

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are diseases that are not caused by infection with microorganisms such as protozoa, bacteria, fungi or viruses. One example of a NCD is thalassaemia, which has strong genetic factors and an increasing incidence. Children who have parents or family members with thalassaemia have a higher risk of developing the disease. To establish basic assessment data, nurses will use the results of interviews, physical examinations, observations, and laboratory tests. Based on the results of the assessment conducted on An.I with thalassemia, three nursing diagnoses were found, namely ineffective peripheral perfusion associated with decreased haemoglobin concentration, fatigue associated with physiological conditions (anaemia), and knowledge deficit associated with lack of exposure to information. After evaluation, the problem of knowledge deficit was successfully resolved on the first day, while on the second day the problems of ineffective peripheral perfusion and fatigue were also resolved.

Abstract

Bronchopneumonia is an inflammation of the lung parenchyma that extends to the bronchioles, which can be understood as inflammation of the lung tissue with direct spread through the respiratory tract to the bronchi (Hapsari et al., 2022). The purpose of this writing is to understand the nursing care process for Mrs. S with respiratory system disorders: bronchopneumonia in Dahlia Ward, RSUD dr. Soeselo Tegal Regency. This writing method uses a descriptive approach with a nursing process approach. The results of the nursing care found that the patient had shortness of breath, productive cough, and ronchi sounds; the patient and family were unaware of the disease. The nursing diagnoses identified were ineffective airway clearance and knowledge deficit. Interventions were carried out based on SIKI (Indonesian Standard for Nursing Care) and implementation was based on the designed interventions. Evaluation of the two diagnoses revealed that one diagnosis, the knowledge deficit, was resolved, while the issue of ineffective airway clearance was partially resolved. The results of the nursing care were consistent with the theory. This writing is expected to improve skills in providing nursing care.
