Abstract

Character education includes more than teaching morality and ethics. In addition, by instilling good habits, it is expected that students can feel or experience (affective), develop cognitive awareness about right and wrong and get used to doing it (psychomotor). Instilling character education can be carried out by an educational institution. Among the educational institutions that organize character building is the Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT), which combines general education and religious values. It is because character education lies not only in the material being taught but also in the habituation of positive attitudes and actions, one of which is through the habituation of religious activities. This study thus aims to determine (1) the implementation of character education through the habituation of religious activities and (2) the character of class IV A students at SDIT Al-Khairiyah. The research method employed in this research was qualitative research, i.e., understanding phenomena in the form of natural objects by collecting data by triangulation. The data collection techniques utilized were interviews, and non-participatory observation, i.e., the researchers were not directly involved in the activities that took place at school but only as observers using field notes and documentation to support the research. The results of this study revealed that (1) schools and teachers could implement character education by involving all students through the habituation program for religious activities in schools. (2) Meanwhile, the character values that arise in students include religion, discipline, and responsibility, which are expected to be applied in everyday life.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the Sadar Baca dan Tulis (SABTU) activity carried out at the Mamba'ul Hikmah Kauman Islamic Boarding School in Kota Lama Ponorogo and its impact on students. This research uses a qualitative case study approach. Researchers went directly to the Mamba'ul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School by interviewing the caregivers, administrators and students of the Mamba'ul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that SABTU activities aim to improve students' literacy skills, which not only include reading and writing but also logical and critical thinking. This activity is carried out by students reading selected books which are then summarized and presented the next day, on Sunday, in an activity called EPIS. SABTU activities show a positive impact on every santri who participates in them. It is proven that after literacy activities, many students enjoy reading and writing, and some of them even create their own written works. This research is expected to provide valuable insights into effective practices in improving literacy in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena adanya ketidaksesuaian guru pembimbing tahfidz dalam menggunakan metode atau cara mengajar dengan cara sistem setoran, yang dimana santri sudah melanjutkan ke ayat berikutnya padahal mereka belum terlalu hafal ayat sebelumnya, sehingga menyebabkan adanya santri yang masih tersendat-sendat dalam setoran hafalan, terlewat bacaan ayatnya ketika setoran dan masih tidak sesuai menggunakan tajwid maupun makharijul hurufnya dalam setoran hafalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1. Penerapan Metode One Day One Ayat dalam meningkatkan motivasi menghafal Al-Quran Surah An-Naba dan An-Nazi’at, 2. Meningkatnya motivasi menghafal Al-Qur’an surat An-Naba’ dan An-Nazi’at, dan 3. Bagaimanakah faktor pendukung dan penghambat pada penerapan metode one day one ayat dalam meningkatkan motivasi menghafal surat An-Naba’ dan surat An-Nazi’at. Jenis penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan, dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Adapun subyek penelitiannya yaitu guru pembimbing tahfidz, guru pengurus, santri dan wali santri. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dalam menganalisis data, tahap-tahap yang digunakan yaitu dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dari hasil penelitian dan pembahasan menunjukan bahwa penerapan metode ODOA diterapkan bagi santri yang sudah lancar hafalannya, jika sudah lancar maka guru pembimbing akan menargetkan hafalan baru satu ayat dengan mendikte per penggalan ayat selanjutnya untuk dihafal. Kemudian, guru pembimbing menggunakan kata kunci di setiap ayatnya dan ketukan pada tajwid yang digunakan untuk mengantisipasi dari lupa hafalan serta ketidaktepatan dalam menggunakan tajwid pada setiap ayat.
