In addition to cataracts, diseases that attack the retina can also cause vision loss. Diabetes is a disease that attacks the retina. Residents of the Copan Health Center area have low socioeconomic status and low education levels. The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of diabetes on vision. The study was conducted from April to May 2018 at the Puskesmas Kopan Central Lombok. The study design was cross-sectional with a sample of 73 respondents aged 40 years and over selected using simple random sampling. Visual acuity was measured by Tumbling E, random blood glucose measurement (≥ 200 mg/dl) was performed with Accu Check Active to determine diabetes, and data was analyzed with the Mann-Whitney test using SPSS version 16.0. Decide on a program with a confidence level of 95% (α = 0.05). Based on the results of statistical analysis, diabetes has a significant influence (42.5%).

Abstract

Soy sauce is an additional seasoning that has been known since the era of 300 years BC (SM), soybeans are the main ingredient in making sweet soy sauce. This research uses three types of soybeans with different quality, namely medium and low high quality. Each type of soybean is processed using the same fermentation method to produce soy sauce. The elements analyzed can amount of acidity, protein content, water, and the taste of soy sauce produced. The observation results stated that high-quality soybeans produce soy sauce with higher protein levels, optimal acidity levels, and better taste compared to medium and low-quality soybeans. Low-quality soybeans produce soy sauce with lower protein levels and a less-than-preferred flavor. In conclusion, the quality of soybeans has a very significant influence on the quality of soy sauce produced, so the selection of high quality soybeans is highly recommended in the soy sauce production stage to produce the best quality products.

Abstract

The quality of microorganisms in the air describes the health condition of the microbiology laboratory environment and its pathogenicity can cause infections in humans, such as infections of bacteria in the microbiology laboratory. Microscopic identification by observation directly use the colony counter. Pay attention to the shape of the bacteria and count the number of bacteria that grow, after that document the results obtained in the research and analyze them using descriptive analysis. The air quality in the laboratory is a sign of whether the air in the indoor area is good or bad. There are several types of microorganisms contained in the air, there are types of microorganisms that are often found in the air, including bacteria, fungi and viruses. Factors that can influence the presence of microorganisms in the air consist of temperature, air flow, humidity, lighting and the type of microorganism itself. In this study, samples were taken at a central point in the microbiology laboratory, and the results did not show any bacterial growth, so the air quality met laboratory standards. The absence of living microbes in a laboratory area is caused by sterile conditions and the sterilization process.

Abstract

Cheese is a food fermented by lactic acid bacteria and fungi. Cheese has many important nutrients and is high in energy. The type of milk used (species, lactation stage, full fat, low fat, or skim), the manufacturing process, and, to a lesser extent, the air-insoluble nutritional quality of the milk (coagulated casein, In cheese curds, colloidal minerals, fat, and fat-soluble vitamins remain, while the air-soluble components of milk are whey protein, lactose, vitamins, and air-soluble minerals. But the loss of air-soluble B vitamins can be compensated by microbial synthesis during cooking to a certain extent .The biological proteins of cheese are very beneficial. The protein content of cheese ranges from 4 to 40%, depending on the variety, and is usually higher than the fat. Therefore, before consumption, cheese proteins break down in large quantities, and this has an impact on the proteolytic function of the intestine. The coagulation process takes fifteen to thirty minutes. The milk will coagulate into curd and then be reheated at a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius.

Abstract

Chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) can have a significant impact on hearing function. Recurrent middle ear infections and inflammation can damage the eardrum, hearing bones, and other auditory structures. Depending on the severity of the infection and response to treatment, temporary or permanent hearing loss may occur. People often use tools such as cotton swabs to clean the ears. The use of cotton buds can damage the ear canal. Repeated trauma can cause the ears to become inflamed. One of the symptoms of ear infections is watery ears. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the frequency and frequency of using ear swabs with symptoms of watery ears. This study is an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional approach using the Fisher chi-square exact test. The target audience of this study is students, the survey was conducted using an online Google Form, And the technique used is purposive sampling. The results of this study revealed that the study participants amounted to 245 respondents. The age group of cotton bud users is the most 20 years old (36%). Of the 245 respondents who met the inclusion criteria, 96 respondents. The frequency of using cotton buds is the most < 4 times a week (91.7%). The highest number of cotton buds used < 5 cotton buds per ear toilet (88.5%). Conclusion of the study there was a significant relationship between the frequency of cotton bud use and watery ear complaints (P value = 0.43). There was no relationship between the amount of cotton bud use and watery ear complaints (P value = 0.43).
