Abstract

The periodization of Arabic literature in Andalusia as shown by historians differs from one another. This is interesting to research, especially examining the differences in periodization. This research aims to find a reliable chronology of the periodization of the history of Arabic literature in Andalusia. To find the correct chronology of the periodization of Arabic literary history, researchers use historical methods. Researchers found the following periodization: chronologically, the historical periods of Arabic literature in Andalusia are divided into six. First, 711-755 AD, no literary manuscripts have been found. Second, 755-912 AD, literary texts were found under Ad-Dakhil's reign but were still oriented towards Masyriq literature. Third, 912-1013 AD, namely the period when the group of kings called "Mulukut Tawaif" was formed and literary critics began to appear. Fourth, 1013-1086 AD, literature at this time was still oriented towards Masyriq literature but the difference lay in the ability of Andalusian writers to use more real and imaginative wording. Fifth, 1086-1248 AD, during this time poets and philosophers emerged, among the famous ones being Ibnu Thufail and Ibnu Rushd. Sixth, 1248-1492 AD, during this period lament literature began to be introduced and continued to develop rapidly.

Abstract

This paper aims to discuss the methods, thoughts, and contributions of Al-Kisā'i in the development of Nahwu science, especially the Kufah madrasah. The method used in the research is a literature study. In contrast, the method used in data analysis is historical analysis, which is a study of a problem based on the context of the historical development of the study. In its development, Nahwu has passed through various discussions and given birth to its characteristics in each madrasa in Nahwu science. This development is inseparable from the thoughts of Nahwu figures who laid the foundations of the rules in Nahwu science. As one of the pioneers of the Kufah madrasah, Al-Kisā'i has several methods and thoughts that distinguish it from the madrasa that emerged earlier, namely the Basrah madrasah. The results showed that; Al-Kisā'i in developing his thoughts in the field of nahwu, namely by expanding the use of history, namely by opening the possibility of history from shi'ir, expanding the use of qiyas, namely by considering the importance of nahwu rules based on uncommon language rules, expanding the differences in principles developed by the Basrah school.

Abstract

Literary criticism is a field of study that focuses on efforts to understand and analyze, interpret and assess the merits and demerits of a literary work. The development of modern Arabic literary criticism tends to be difficult to find in Indonesian language literature. Technological advances and influence from the western world are the main factors triggering progress in modern literary criticism. In this way, the author intends to contribute to the development of literature related to Arabic literary criticism, which in particular looks at modern Arabic literary criticism from the perspective of Ahmad Asy-Syāyib. This research explains the implications of Ahmad Asy-Syāyib in developing modern Arabic literary criticism, the concepts and approaches offered. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research method, the author uses listening and notetaking techniques, by reading relevant references and then describing the results of the data that has been found. This research finds factors in the prosperity of modern Arabic literary criticism, trends in Arabic literary criticism from the classical to the modern era, the concept of literary criticism in general, and Ahmad Asy-Syāyib's approach in criticizing Modern Arabic literature.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bentuk pergeseran makna kata serapan bahasa Arab dalam bahasa Indonesia pada iklan komersial dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pergeseran makna tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan data penelitian diperoleh dari media online seperti media sosial, website dan situs marketplace. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode dokumentasi dan simak dengan teknik lanjutan yaitu teknik catat. Adapun analisis data dilakukan dengan metode padan intralingual untuk mengkaji unsur internal kebahasaan dan metode padan ekstralingual untuk menelaah hubungan bahasa dengan unsur di luar bahasa. Kedua metode ini diterapkan melalui teknik hubung banding menyamakan (HBS) dan hubung banding membedakan (HBB). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pergeseran makna kata serapan bahasa Arab dalam iklan komersial terjadi dalam dua bentuk utama yaitu perluasan makna dan penyempitan makna. Kata halal mengalami perluasan dari makna religius menjadi simbol kualitas dan legalitas produk; hijrah meluas menjadi simbol gaya hidup Islami modern; sakinah mengalami perluasan menjadi representasi kenyamanan hunian; dan barokah mengalami penyempitan menjadi simbol keuntungan material. Pergeseran makna ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, antara lain: perbedaan bidang pemakaian, adanya perbedaan tanggapan individual masyarakat Indonesia dan juga adanya perubahan nilai sosial dan budaya masyarakat Indonesia yang mengaburkan batas antara sakral dan profan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa bahasa bersifat dinamis dan responsif terhadap perkembangan sosial, budaya, dan ekonomi dalam masyarakat.

Abstract

This research is backgrounded by the importance of preaching communication skills for students as prospective da’i who will play a role in spreading Islamic teachings in the community. Muhadharah as one of the traditional activities of boarding schools has strategic potential in developing students’ communication competencies, yet in-depth studies on its role in the context of modern boarding school education are still limited. Darul Furqon Tahfizul Qur'an Madrasah PP Islahuddiny West Lombok NTB organizes muhadharah activities routinely as part of the educational curriculum, so it is interesting to study how these activities contribute in improving students' preaching communication skills. The research method adopted was qualitative descriptive with data collection technique through in-depth interviews of 5 students and 2 ustadz, as well as observation of muhadharah activities. The results of the study showed that muhadharah activities made a significant contribution in improving students’ preaching communication skills through five main aspects: (1) improving public speaking ability by overcoming anxiety and developing self-confidence; (2) the development of rhetorical skills through the use of a variety of engaging delivery techniques; (3) improved mastery of preaching material through a systematic process of research and preparation; (4) mental formation and strong self-confidence through repeated experience; (5) development of adaptability to various audience characteristics. Muhadharah activities also proved relevant to the challenges of preaching in the digital age as it provided a foundation of communication skills that could be transformed to various media platforms. The study recommended the optimization of muhadharah activities by technology integration and development of more innovative variations of learning methods.

Abstract

Nahwuu science has experienced very rapid and significant progress in study and analysis. This is proven by the many schools of thought (schools) in the study of nahwuu science. During its early development, the science of nahwuu was dominated by two very popular schools of thought, namely the Bashroh School as the forerunner to the birth of the science of nahwuu, followed by the Kufah School. Subsequently, other madrasas emerged, such as the Baghdad School, the Andalusian School, and the Egyptian School. The method used is a qualitative method by carrying out categorization which is then interpreted descriptively-analytically. Anbu Hayan's criticism and lawsuit against nahwuu mostly touched on Imam Ibnu Malik's concept of Nahwuu.
