Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan manajemen Program Arabic Culture yang dijalankan sebuah perguruan tinggi Islam di Indonesia, yaitu UIN KHAS Jember. Perguruan Tinggi ini telah berhasil mengembangkan program Arabic Culture yang dapat menciptakan lingkungan berbahasa Arab (bi’ah Arabiyah), sehingga menghasilkan generasi berprestasi dalam bidang bahasa Arab. Penelitian berfokus untuk menggali kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan mencari faktor pendukung dan penghambat pelaksanaan program tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan jenis kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan wawancara. Wawancara mendalam dilaksanakan kepada Presiden International Culture and Islamic Studies (ICIS), ketua bidang divisi bahasa Arab, tutor dan peserta program. Dengan menggunakan analisis data Miles dan Huberman, hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Perencanaan program dilakukan melalui review tujuan divisi dan motto organisasi. Selanjutnya, dilakukan pengelompokan kelas sesuai dengan tingkat kemampuan keterampilan berbahasa Arab. 2) Program ini dilaksanakan selama 1 tahun dengan 2 kali pertemuan dalam 1 minggu dengan tutor sebaya yang memiliki kemampuan lebih baik dari teman yang lainnya, dengan menggunakan materi sesuai kemampuan, strategi berdasar level dan metode langsung serta sistem kolaboratif. 3) Faktor pendukung efektivitas program berasal dari kompetensi tutor, kesamaan tujuan peserta program dan dukungan pemimpin. Sedangkan hambatan berasal dari rendahnya komitmen tutor dan peserta, keterbatasan prasarana (tempat belajar), dan heterogenitas latar belakang peserta program. Secara praktis, temuan ini menyediakan gambaran yang dapat diadopsi oleh institusi pendidikan lainnya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan bahasa Arab peserta didik melalui perencanaan yang komprehensif, pelaksanaan yang kolaboratif, dan evaluasi yang sistematis.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the connotative meaning of the Dreamers song lyrics at the 2022 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The object of this research is the video clip of the Dreamers song on the FIFA YouTube channel with Dreamers song lyrics as the data. The Dreamers song was chosen because it is specifically created to welcome the 2022 World Cup, held every four years. Data was collected using the watch, listen, and note techniques. To interpret the data, researchers used the Miles and Huberman data analysis technique, which consists of the data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion. This research shows that the Dreamers song lyrics have a positive connotative meaning. The positive connotation meanings in the Dreamers song lyrics were found in 12 words consisting of the phrase dreamers, believe, keep, invited, come, gather 'round, respect, نتجمع, نتكاتف و نرفع ,نتعاون ونحققو نتحد و نتجاوز. Keywords: Connotative, dreamers, positive

Abstract

It is no wonder that learning outcome is very important to measure the success of the education activities that are implemented. But how if education that is usually implemented with offline education, is replaced by online education because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on that, The objectives of this research are to find out the difference between the result of online education and offline learning in teaching Arabic among students at the Islamic Intermediate School “Darus Sholah”. The methodology of this research is the quantitative approach, and the method of collecting observation and documentation consists of data analysis by descriptive quantitative analysis with induction statistics by type, non-parametric statistics. The results of the research there is no comparison between the result of online education and offline education in teaching Arabic among students at the Islamic Intermediate School “Darus Sholah”. In conclusion, the result of the analysis hypothesis shows that 0.09 has more value than 0.05 (0.05 < 0.09) µ1 = µ2 H0, H0 is accepted and H1 data is rejected. This means that the data showed is accepted.
